I mean come on, the battle terrain image uses Theseus killing Medusa, as guided by Athena.

Athena, a Goddess who was totally cool turning a woman who scorned her into a spider.

Athena wins this, she's made for this challenge.

I know nothing about the Veles so I'll refrain from voting for now, but a look at his wiki page says that he's a god of trickery and magic, so that may help him a lot here

Trickery Gods do have a bad habit of screwing over their followers though. I'd be worried for his champion, they'll go on the quest and end up becoming a rabbit or something.

He isn't an evil god though. His main role is protector of peasants and travelling musicians and has saved farmers and their cattle from wrath of other deities. He uses trickery and magic to fool other gods.
