I don't think this is relevant to the battle per se but now you know important lore.

From my understanding Leina doesn't have anything that would counter Akame's hyper speed and assasin skillset. (The armor doesn't corrode from milky, but nothing was mentioned about it countering piercing or slashing attacks)
