The year 1861, a ship enters the New York harbor. Many step foot upon a nation. A nation entering into a war within itself. Many of these individuals have dreams and aspirations of starting anew. One of these such individuals is the young Rose O'Hara. This was the a new beginning that she wanted as she gazed upon the America's. She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath as she stepped foot onto the pier. County Antrim was now but a memory that will live in the back of her mind. She sauntered past crowds of people all from different lands. As she walked, everything that she faced in Ireland had come to haunt her once again.

The voices, the thoughts, the weakness that she could feel in the people around her. She glanced in every direction and started breathing heavily. Her walk became a sprint as she made her way through the crowds to find somewhere that was away from the noise. She found an alley that seemed as if it was solitude, and she crept inside the shadows. She fell to her knees and begged for all of it to stop. In solitude, she was afraid of what was inside of her but hope soon found her alone in that alley.

A soothing presence broke past the shadows of the alley and stood before the young Rose. A man who has eluded the passing of time came to the young Rose. The man introduced himself as Flick, Grandpa Flick. He put out his hand and the young Rose reached up to grab it. He helped her off of the ground and started to show her a world that she would no longer have to fear. The voices that she heard were not weaknesses but pure power that flows in her very essence. With her power, she could achieve near immortality and gain a family that would be by her side for all the ages. She would no longer have to experience dread or fear. This man told her about a power within side her that many could not even begin to imagine. All she had to do was live long and eat well.

Rose O'Hara was now but a memory along with the memories of her old life and the family that disowned her. The Irish Rose became ingrained in this new family led by Grandpa Flick. During this time, the Union and Confederacy declared war amongst themselves. Brother against brother, as the horrors of the bloodshed had haunted many that fought in that war. While dread consumed the hearts of many in the America's, the True Knot had all but become satisfied as they were able to locate Steam that was easy for the taking.

With the passing of time, the war had ended but the True Knot continued to obtained the Steam from the lives of many. Their immortality became reality. With the passing of time, the ones that had the Steam became fewer and far between. Time was catching up with Grandpa Flick as age started weighing upon the being. Rose took Flick's place as the leader of the True Knot. The memories of who she had been in Ireland were all but gone as she was now completely filled with darkness. Upon her head, she wears a distinctive black hat that contains as much evil as she. No longer going by the name Irish Rose, the True Knot has come to call her Rose the Hat.

The passing of time, those with Steam have become fewer and fewer. It is now, in these recent times that fear had caught up to the True Knot as death had made its presence known. Grandpa Flick's body had crumbled into dust. Dust to dust, his body had become one with the earth. The True Knot had not eaten well in a long time and even Rose started to worry that there would not be anything left to eat.

That is until she felt a power that she has never experienced in all of her life. A power that shook her to the very core.... Abra Stone...

Present Day...

With Roadhouse a pile of ash and Jo hunting on her own; Ellen has since decided to take up hunting again. A werewolf in Seattle, WA, vengeful spirits in Fort Worth, TX, and a djinn in Philadelphia; Ellen certainly kept herself busy. The memories of Ash and all those who frequented the bar continued to follow her, but she had to keep fighting. She kept tabs on the boys when she would talk with Bobby, but other than that she did not know much about what was going on with the Winchesters.

As she searched for a new hunt, something had caught her attention. Missing children that had disappeared without a trace. Many thoughts raced through her mind as she tried to determine what it could be; vampires, witches, or perhaps demons... The possibilities were endless; with a swig of beer, she continued her research into the disappearances.

As she searched, she found something odd! These children were different... While some excelled in sports, others were in programs at their schools. Some of their families even reported that their children had issues with supposedly hearing voices in their heads. Remembering what happened to Sam; Ellen could not help but think this could possibly be connected. While there were certainly a list of similarities there also seemed to be significant differences.

As she searched, she found anomalies that were centered around a small town. Not knowing whether there was a connection, Ellen gathered her items and left for this town. Upon her arrival, she had heard of a murder and kidnapping on her police radio. Immediately, she headed to the home of David and Lucy Stone. Lucy sat on the steps of her front porch surrounded by officers, while David's lifeless body was being wheeled away in a black bag.

Ellen made her way past the officers and took out a fake FBI badge. "Agent Parton, FBI." Ellen said as she walked past crime scene investigators and stood before the now grief stricken widow. Ellen looked down upon the young mother, Lucy who was in complete shock. As she looked down upon her, she could not help but realize how similar the two were. Ellen's own husband had died so many years ago by something sinister, and she was left with a daughter to raise all by herself.

"Mrs. Stone, I'm Agent Parton with the F...." Ellen introduced before she was interrupted.

"I heard as you walked up... I don't know anything. I don't know who did this and I don't know where my daughter is. I don't know what to do!" Lucy said as she looked up at Ellen.

Ellen tried to find the right words as she realized that this case may be something that she would have to walk away from. This was too close to home for her but when she saw the hurt in the young mother's eyes; she knew that she had to find Abra. "I will find your daughter." Ellen responded as she walked into the home.

After walking into Abra's room, she knew that the crime scene investigators had already looked through everything, but Ellen found something that seemed odd. There was a paper that had been crunched up and in the trash can. She knelt down to see what it was and saw a name with a weird word. "Uncle Dan and Redrum." The investigators probably dismissed it as homework scratch paper, but Ellen had a gut feeling.

She took the paper with her and left the home. After doing more research, she found that Abra had recently missed several days of school even before this event. Recent bus photos revealed that she traveled to another town. After seeking out Bobby's help among other contacts, she found a lead. There is a man named Dan Torrance. Dan's father passed away at the Overlook Hotel in Colorado and he has been drifting from place to place ever since. He has recently taken up a job as an orderly for a hospice center. With that lead and some of Bobby's law enforcement contacts, Ellen was able to track Dan Torrance's phone not far from where the Overlook Hotel.

75 Miles from the Overlook Hotel...

Dan and Abra sat in a motel room. Abra still trying to process the loss of her father and being hunted by this murderous group. Dan was also trying to process the loss of his close friend, Billy and everything that was unfolding around them. Only one was left from the sinister group that was hunting young Abra, but both knew that this was the most powerful member of that murderous group. As they both tried to discuss their plan as to what would was about to take place, they sensed someone coming. It was not Rose the Hat, but someone else entirely.

They heard the knock at the door and Dan had reservations about opening the door. Abra, on the other hand, knew that the person that was knocking at the door was not a threat. Abra walked over and opened the motel door. Standing in the doorway, was a woman with a revolver aimed right at Dan. Dan backed up against the wall as the woman made her way inside the motel room.

"Abra? You ready to go home?" The woman asked as she glanced over at Abra.

"We're not going home yet, Ellen." Abra's voice rang inside Ellen's head. Ellen glanced at both Danny and Abra without a clue as to what was going on.

"What the hell is going on here? And how are you inside my head?" Ellen asked as she looked down at the girl.

"Please lower your gun. Both Uncle Dan and I will explain everything to you." Abra said as she looked up at the hunter in reassurance.

After a while of Danny and Abra explaining their power called the Shining and the True Knot. Ellen sat back against a chair in disbelief. She thought she had seen it all, or at least heard about everything that was in the world. This was something that she had never heard of. After both Danny and Abra explained themselves, Danny then asked who Ellen was. Ellen told them about Hunters and the world that she knew.

"I knew there were ghosts and all.... but demons, werewolves, vampires... this is too much..." Danny said as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Evil clowns too..." Ellen quipped as she remembered one of her first meetings with Sam and Dean. "I think I need a drink." Ellen said as she pulled out a flask and took a swig. "You?" Ellen asked as she pointed the flask toward Dan.

"No! Thanks! Sober..." Dan responded as he shook his head and was trying to comprehend what all was going on.

"How about you?" Ellen asked as she looked down at Abra and pointed the flask over to her.

"I'm a teenager." Abra responded in disbelief.

"So?" Ellen asked as she looked almost astonished.

"I am not old enough and I don't think my mom would be too happy I drank alcohol." Abra replied as she shook her head.

"Right... I haven't had a little girl in quite some time." Ellen said as she put her flask away. "So what? You want to lure this evil psychic vampire bitch thing to that haunted ass hotel and.... what?" Ellen asked as she looked at both Danny and Abra.

"I don't know... stop her once and for all." Dan responded. "That place... that curse feeds on things like Abra and me."

"I've seen worse plans... hell I've been through worse plans... how can I help?" Ellen asked as she leaned back in the chair and crossed her leg over her knee.

"This is dangerous." Dan responded as he stood up from the motel bed.

"Honey, I've been through dangerous before. I've seen a damn door to hell open up and I even helped shut the damn thing!" Ellen replied with a smirk.

"If it doesn't work, we need to find a way to stop her." Dan said as he was still trying to process what Ellen was.

"I've got guns." Ellen responded with a smile.

The Overlook Hotel...

Ellen, Danny, and Abra made their way into the cursed hotel. They had turned on the power and the place that haunted Dan's dreams for so long had lit up with life. The plan was set into motion, as Danny went off to himself. He was going to lay out the rest of the ground work.

Meanwhile, Ellen went with Abra outside the Cursed hotel and walked around on the outside. The air from the Rockies sent shivers down Abra's spine as they continued walking. Finally, Ellen stopped and reached down to her ankle. She pulled out a Smith & Wesson 36 and stood back up over the young Abra. Ellen opened up the revolver and quickly glanced over the bullets. She closed the revolver back up and turned it from safety to fire. She looked down at Abra, "Ever shot a gun before?"

"No, ma'am! My parents don't really believe in them." Abra said as she looked up at Ellen.

"Well today is your unlucky day, little lady!" Ellen said as she reach to hand the gun to the young girl.

Abra looked hesitantly at the gun and then back up at the hunter. "I don't know if that will help against her!"

Ellen stared at the young psychic girl and a small smile went across her face. "Abra, you have a power that I could never understand. Maybe this gun will help, maybe it won't. But it is better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it!"

Abra reached for the hunter's revolver and gripped it tight in her hand. As she looked over the weapon, Ellen took out her Taurus 689. She shot it at a nearby window. Abra jumped at the sound of the gun firing. Ellen glanced over at the girl with a smil on her face.

"Now that is not a good idea when that bitch comes. You don't want to be jumping all over the place. That will get you killed. Get used to your weapon." Ellen said as Abra took a deep breath. "Aim it at that window. Both hands on the gun." Ellen said as Abra pointed the gun at another pane of glass. "Only point at what you intend to shoot... when you are ready, take a breath, and squeeze the trigger."

Abra stood and looked at the window, with the revolver aiming right at it. She did as Ellen said and squeezed the trigger. The shot rang out, but she missed the window by a slight margin.

"That's okay! Here get your legs situated and aim." Ellen said as she stood behind the young Abra. Dan ran outside at the sound of the gun shot and just stood watching as Ellen practiced with the teenager.

Hours had passed and several rounds were fired. The windows on that side of the hotel were all but destroyed. It was time.... The three walked inside of the hotel and walked throughout the hallways.

Ellen knelt down closer to Abra. "Listen! You remind me a lot of my daughter ha... you're strong and brave..." Ellen said as she looked into Abra's eyes. "I want you to hold onto this.." Ellen said as she handed Abra a switch blade. "If that evil bitch gets her hands on you, you stab her with that."

"Yes ma'am." Abra said as she went in to hug Ellen.

Ellen hugged the young girl right back and closed her eyes as she remembered all the times that she hugged Jo as a young girl. "She's here." Abra said softly as her eyes opened wide. Ellen stood back up and took a deep breath as she pushed both Danny and Abra into the ball room. She shut the door behind them and locked it. From the other side of the door, she heard both Dan and Abra asking what she was doing. "Change of plans!" Ellen said as she gripped her Remington 870 and started making her way to the entrance of the hotel.

At the entrance of the hotel, Rose the Hate walked through the doors and could sense the dread that had taken place there for so many years. She smiled as she started humming and rubbed her hands against the walls of the Overlook Hotel.

"Well! What do we have here? Another guest? A hunter?" Rose said with a large smile as she turned the corner to find Ellen Harvelle in a hallway.

Ellen came out of the hallway with her shotgun aimed at Rose. Her fingers on the trigger and ready to take down the monster. Ellen stood silently as she had her weapon trained on Rose.

"I've stopped being afraid of hunters centuries ago... Now I just have so much from ripping them apart!" Rose said as stood before the hunter ready for battle.

In an attempt to use some unused or underused characters, here is another story that I have come up with

Hope you all enjoy

This one's hard to gauge... mostly due to Rose's ambiguity in her powers at end game. At this point, she handily beats Ellen up close, but Ellen has a good chance of offing her at range. The big question is how strong Rose's mental capabilities are during the powerup as we didn't get to see that in action in the final act.

Another good one. Though I really don't know the characters. I plan on watching Doctor Sleep soon so that will give me some more insight.

From what I can judge, I'll had this to Rose for her powers and how dope she looks in that hat.

Thank you,

I don't know Doctor Sleep too well. I haven't read the book, but the movie was entertaining

Im a fan of Supernatutal so I know I've added a lot of Superatural characters to the database over the years. Some that are very obscure that I even regret just because they are so obscure. With that said, Ellen was an interesting character so I thought she'd be fun to use in a match
