The way I see it, they both have OHKO moves, and they're both seemingly willing to use them pretty handily. The biggest difference is that while Hitsugaya is an impressive Massively Hypersonic+, Akuma is Relativistic, which means he would be much quicker and probably able to land his finisher first more often than not

The arena is kinda compact, so there's a chance for Toshiro to freeze Akuma before he makes it to Toshiro. And Akuma doesn't really have any way to get out of being frozen.

So his Respect Thread says that the ability takes time to activate. Is it instantaneous? If it's not, Akuma can definitely close the distance and probably land his hit in

It does take time to activate, but it's still fast. Bleach characters are notoriously speedy.

I guess it depends on how fast Akuma really is, then. If he's actually relativistic and he's against someone who's only Massively Hypersonic, that would put him 3-4 tiers above his opponent in speed, which means that he should be able to hit first. But I'm really taking the Vs. Battle Wiki at its word there, which isn't a good idea

Let's not forget this is Akuma from Tekken 7. Akuma lost a one on one fight with Heihachi, who isn't particularly fast. I wouldn't put anyone in the Tekken franchise as fast as the top Bleach characters like Toshiro. Even if Akuma did get some hits in, Toshiro can tank those based on what we've seen in the manga. Toshiro wins this 8/10

Akuma has survived the cold vacuums of space:

So I think he can survive being frozen by Toshiro.

What are you are you talking about, Akuma beat Heihachi, the geezer only survived by playing dead.

See? And what’s this nonsense about Heihachi not being fast? The dude regularly tangos with Kazuya and Jin who are casual bullet dodgers and can even fly into orbit within seconds. So I agree with Peypey, Akuma will land his attacks faster and will hit with the power to blow up islands and meteors.
