If memory serves, I'm pretty sure intense physical pain snaps you out of genjutsu in Naruto. I remember Shikimaru breaking a genjutsu by breaking his own finger, and Deku once did something almost identical to break out of the mind control of that purple haired dude. It wouldn't really matter, because he's just too slow to win a physical fight, but I think he could actually break that
