So, if the people of Konohagakure are actively hunting Muttley, he's pretty screwed. I'm pretty sure Muttley's a villainous character too. That said, I don't think most people in Konohagakure would be that likely to just immediately kill a dog on sight. They might interrogate it and try to get information out of it, but few would immediately jump to murder, so I guess I need some clarification. If the terrain (and the people in it) are all actively hostile and going for the kill, I think Muttley loses. However, other people in other threads have taken into account the sidekick being able to talk their way out of trouble, like Shego on Apokolips, which makes me think that we're not meant to assume the location is necessarily hostile, in which case Muttley could survive

I have not watched the show Naruto, therefore I'm not super conversant with Konohagakure. However, what I get out of Googling is that it's not 100% hostile or dangerous per-se.

Unless the terrain presents the Sidekick with clear and permanent danger, I'm gonna lean towards the Sidekick.

I mean, granted, I am positive there is danger here, but it's not as imminent and specific as, say, "The Overlook Hotel" from The Shining would be.

Anyways, Muttley is a super coward who values their own hide above all else. I figure he will find a way to get by for 24-hours.

Muttley somehow survived being trapped in the Underworld in the new Scoob! Movie. That's got to be worth some cred.

I've only seen one season of Naruto: Shippuden, and that one didn't particularly focus on Konohagakure, or the Hidden Leaf Village. So, I don't have a good read on how hostile it would be to outsiders. If it's the place Naruto lives, though, I'd have to think that the village wouldn't necessarily take out Muttley on sight. He's relatively harmless compared to the ninja they usually face.

Agree with the assessment, Konohagakure should deal with Muttley easily considering he has no way to deal with being exposed to ninjas who continously deal with bigger treats. Muttley isn't really a talkative figure either, and he is quite annoying to people that do not know him, so I don't really see him surviving for long.

Given Muttley's track record, he's not getting away Scott free.

If I had known that the idea was to have a place that actively trying to kill someone I might have picked differently. But if the Konoha ninjas are actively trying to kill Muttley, he’s a dead little doggy.
