Mickey might be the OG, but I think the fact he never gained national prominence in his days would end up hurting him here. Since Rocky’s career was more widely known and beloved any team under him will be better motivated to win and not let Rocky down. Voting for Balboa here!

Gotta love Mickey. I think he did more of the "turn someone with no talent into a winner" than Rocky did. Rocky was much worse than Creed's son at the beginning of their respective careers and I think Mickey would do better with people at the absolute bottom. The picture is of the Bad News Bears, which has no bearing on the fight, but I would absolutely watch a movie redux where Mickey steps in as their coach. I'm leaning Mick here.

Wait, if this is the Bad News Bears specifically, this should be exactly in Rocky's wheelhouse. He's good with kids and giving them life lessons.

At the very least, Mickey definitely has more experience than Rocky in training and coaching talent, especially those that are down on their luck. That experience alone may insure that he has a better shot at this.
