In an age of elves and men, this world was filled with adventures all throughout its lands. In the deepest pits to the highest mountains, there mysteries that had yet to be solved. Marvels in every corner, and unimaginable dangers. In this world of magic and mystery, there was one that sought domination over all of the inhabitants of Middle Earth. In his quest for domination, there were a series of rings created for all those in power over the different lands of Middle Earth. Three-Rings were created for the Elvin kings under the sky. Seven were created for the Dwarf-lords in the halls of stone. Nine made for Mortal men that were doomed to die. The final ring, the One Ring made for the Dark Lord on his dark throne. "One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them." In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie, the Dark Lord has manipulated those to possess these rings in order to rule over all races of the world. The alliance of man and elf were not so easily swayed as they stood against the armies of darkness.

This Dark Lord, Sauron declared war on all those that lived on Middle Earth. He watched as Morgoth was defeated and cast into a void beyond that of space and time. Sauron served Morgoth with great loyalty, but after the fall of his former Master; Sauron became an unspeakable plague upon the world. His desire for control could not be measured as he raised a powerful army in the Land of Morder. Kingdoms that once prospered greatly fell to ash, and villages destroyed. The highest authority of men and elves joined an alliance to face this growing darkness that had engulfed the world around. Hope seemed to fade just as a flickering candle disappears in the darkest of storms. Little did they know that a new power would make itself known upon the world. A power beyond the very magic of Middle Earth itself.

Beyond the Seas...

As it has been said, there were a great many mysteries upon this world and discoveries yet to be made. In this world of myth and magic, there was a land beyond the seas. A land of mysticism that was unknown to the Kingdoms of Middle Earth. This unknown land would soon become known to all around the world... In this land, stars rained down upon the world. A young warrior that spent his life in servitude of a king saw the fires that came from the stars. While a great many had retreated in fear, this young man was overcome by curiosity of what the stars in the sky had to offer. This young warrior known as Xu Wenwu went through the flames and the rock. His dark eyes widened as he saw stones and metal not of this world. As he walked upon the grounds, he found what appeared to be rings that glowed brighter than most of the stars in the sky. These rings had varied in colors of all different kinds. Deep within his chest, he could feel that these rings had drawn him closer to them. These rings, these Ten Rings contained a power that was from the stars in the sky.

Kneeling humbly toward these rings of other worldly power, Wenwu slowly started to place the rings on each of his fingers. A paralyzing surge went through his body, and the young servant fell on his side. In agonizing pain, he closed his eyes as this power started to become one with his very essence. As the pain subsided, Wenwu's eyes opened as wide as they could revealing a bright burning light that shined brighter than the sun. Soon the light faded and his dark eyes became normal once again. The young warrior gazed upon his ten rings of power, and a sinister smile formed across his face. Rising to his feet with a fierce confidence, Wenwu continued to stare over the rings of power. He heard voices from behind and saw what unfortunate souls that stumbled upon him. Wenwu glanced at these onlooking souls, and then glanced upon his rings. A small smirk formed across his face as he desired to see the power within these rings. Each ring contained its own unique individual power that Wenwu had unleashed upon the onlooking souls. Their screeching cries were only a small testament to the power that Wenwu had in his control. The power that he had would be legend, and his conquest would be known all throughout history.

Leaving the fires behind, the warrior made his way to kingdom that he had called home. He would not be returning as the servant that he once was, but as a conquerer. Memories swarmed through his mind, like moths to a flame. Memories of all those that had abused him with their power. For so long, he spent his life bowing to those that demanded his respect, but no longer would he bow to anyone. With every step, the rage burned within him as if it were an uncontrollable fire. His hatred became his desire to rule as he saw the towers in the distance. As he approached the gated walls that were almost as high as the sky above, Wenwu heard the roars of the guards. They screamed for him to bow, but these commands were none of his concern. The guards charged at him with weapons crafted by mortal men. Wenwu unleashed the unwordly power of his rings upon these guards. Torches lit up the night sky as men raced toward the screams of the fallen. Several that once bowed alongside Wenwu witnessed the power that he now possessed. One by one, each of these warriors stopped and bowed to him.

Walking upon the sight of these men, the Captain of the Guard let out a powerful hiss as he watched his men surrender. An arrogant and sadistic man, the Captain of the Guard was feared by all those beneath him. On this night, the fears of the guards, and servants shifted towards the one that possessed the Ten Rings of Power. The Captain of the Guard gazed upon Wenwu and immediately recognized the one that used to serve in his guard. A boastful smile formed across the face of the Captain of the Guard as he pointed at Wenwu. With laughter, he mocked Wenwu as if he was still nothing more than a lowly servant. He commanded that Wenwu bow to him as he had done so many times before. With a stern look, Wenwu shook his head in defiance. He knew in an instant that he could wipe this fien from the face of this world. Through many years of abuse; Wenwu did not just want to kill this man, he wanted to humiliate him. Wenwu raised his hands and formed a defensive stance. With his right hand, he moved his fingers to acknowledge that he was ready for a battle. The Captain of the Guard let off a confident look as he prepared himself for a battle.

With a strong bout of confidence, the Captain of the Guard charged Wenwu. He unleashed a series kicks and punches. The Master of the Ten Rings blocked each attack with ease, and was able to counter the Captain's attacks. With a massive punch to the chest, Wenwu knocked the Captain backed upon the dirt below them. Rising up to his knees, the Captain of the Guard took out a blade from his sheath. With burning rage, he tried to slice through Wenwu. The once lowly servant dodged the attacks with relative ease as he glared upon the sadistic captain. With a punch and a flip, Wenwu was able to knock the Captain of the Guard back into the cold dirt. With a chuckle, Wenwu mocked the Captain of the Guard as he believed that he would have been a better adversary. The Captain of the Guard let out a scream as he reached for sword. He slashed through the air as he tried to slice through this former servant. Wenwu dodged each attack and with a quick movement, he flipped the Captain back down upon the ground once again. The Master of the Ten Rings kicked the Captain's sword into the darkness, and kneed the sadistic Captain across the face. A sliver of blood spewed out of the Captain's mouth as Wenwu stood over him. Wenwu took out a small blade and slowly plunged it into the Captain's throat. Wenwu watched as the life in the Captain's eyes slowly started to fade away. He smiled as the Captain let one last breath and his lifeless body rested upon the dirt beneath him. Wenwu rose to his feet and glanced into the direction of the King's palace. He glared at those that had watched him defeat the Captain of the Guard, and watched as they had bowed to their new king.

They followed the Master of the Ten Rings to the entrance of the palace. As Wenwu unleashed the power of the rings, they witnessed power that they never thought possible from a mortal man. Each ring possessed a great power not of this world, and they witnessed as he unleashed that extraordinary power upon some of the king's greatest warriors. The Master of the Ten Rings made his way through these warriors with much ease. He felt a bit of regret to see all these brave warriors fall by his power. After the last warrior had fallen, Wenwu gazed upon the entrance of the palace. As he sauntered through the entrance, he glanced upon the symbols from past warriors. There were symbols of the past kings that had ruled over the lands. His dark eyes followed the many symbols as his time had finally come to pass. His dark eyes then caught that of the king sitting upon his throne. He was alone as he had sent away his servants. Wenwu circled around the one that held power over the kingdom for so long. The king knew his fate as he glared upon the man that was one a mere lowly servant. Wenwu demanded that he bow before him as the Ten Rings shined bright on each of his fingers. With a nod, the king declared that he would bow to no man. Taken aback, Wenwu respected his courage. He lifted his fingers and a blinding fire was unleashed upon the king. His body was engulfed in flames as the palace started to burn. Wenwu walked out of the palace as he declared himself the new king of this world. His followers bowed to him as the palace burned behind them.  As Wenwu walked into the night with his followers, he reflected on who he once was and what he was going to achieve.

One by one, villages fell to the rule of the Ten Rings. War was waged across the different nations of the land. The man that was once just a lowly servant in an army was now a Warrior-King. His story became known all throughout. Kingdoms fought until the last man. With every victory, his army grew to an immeasurable number. From sea to sea, Wenwu had conquered all that had stood in his way to glory. Despite the power of the Ten Rings and his rule over all the kingdoms, he was not satisfied with what all he had achieved. He had a burning desire within him to have more... In the lands that he had conquered, there were stories and fables of powers that went beyond this realm. His purpose now was to possess this power. Wenwu searched far and wide to learn the secrets of these legends. He continued to train his body and his mind, so that he would be worthy of these gifts. The search led him to a village on the beaches of the east. This village was surrounded by sharp blackened rocks and great spires that towered above most castles. The Warrior-King heard that a wise woman resided within this village. It was said that she had possessed knowledge from beyond life itself. As the Warrior-King made his way through this humble village, he saw that many hid in their homes in fear of the legend that he became.

Standing before a door, he was told that this was the home of the wise woman. As he approached the door, he watched as it had opened from the inside. The older woman had greeted as he walked inside of her home. As he gazed upon her wrinkled face, he saw that her eyes were as white as the clouds in the sky. Wenwu realized that she must have been blind, but a large smile formed across her face. She told him that her lack of sight in the physical world did not hinder what she saw in the spiritual realm. She was granted a much grander sight than any mortal on this land. Reaching down, she picked up a small cup and handed it to the Warrior-King. Wenwu glanced at the steam coming from the cup, and a look of bewilderment came over his face. She assured him that it was tea, and that she knew that he was coming well before he had intended. Wenwu took a sip of the warm tea and watched as she gestured for him to take a seat. He listened as she spoke about the mysteries of the world. There were beauties that were still to be discovered and adventures to be had. Her smile began to fade as she explained that with so much beauty, there was a shade of unspeakable darkness that dwelt within the hearts of many men. Beyond the land, there were mysteries past the oceans. She turned to the Warrior-King and pleaded for him not to venture past the sea. While she pled, she knew that it would not faze him. He had desires and lusts that could not be met with what he had already obtained. As she finished her own cup of tea, she left him with a warning to not go beyond the sea as there was a darkness far greater than the Warrior-King had ever faced. She warned that his lust for more would be his ultimate downfall as he would never find contemptment. A menacing smirk formed on Wenwu's face as he responded to the old wise woman. "There is no darkness that I cannot conquer."

The Warrior-King stood at the docks and gazed out into the sea. In the distance, his armies crafted a fleet of ships that would be able to sail through the raging waters. He had sights beyond what were seen in the world before him. His sights were now on the world beyond the seas itself. While the ships for his army were being constructed, he went off by himself to continue strengthening his body and mind. As he trained, he gazed over his rings and could only imagine what powers there were in these lands. Day and night, he trained hour after hour. Much time had passed since his meeting with that wise woman. It took many months to build the ships that could face the daring sea. In an early autumn morning, one of Wenwu's most trusted advisors came to him. "They are ready." He informed as he watched a grin form across the face of the Warrior-King. Wenwu walked out alongside the beach and watched the morning sun reflect off the seas. It was time to set sail to a land beyond this one.

A Familiar Land...

The fleet of the Ten Rings fought against stormy seas. Several rainy nights had come to pass while sailing upon the ocean. As the journey was long, tensions began to rise within the ranks of Wenwu's. He assured his armies that they would find land soon. Soon on a cool morning, they saw land ahead. Wenwu watched as the ships grew closer to the shores. Green lush trees covered the world around. They had arrived upon this land. The Army of the Ten Rings scattered upon the beaches as Wenwu gazed in all directions. He could feel a power in the air that he had not sensed before. As his armies marched across the world, they began their conquest against villages of many kinds. Eventually, they came across magic and creatures that had surpassed their imaginations. As they had fought to conquer the world, they were surrounded by an alliance of elves and men. The Warrior-King came to the realization that there was a war that had been waged on this world by a dark force. He was summoned by the alliance of elves and men to meet with their highest kings. Wenwu sat before the High King of Noldor; a mighty elf known as Gil-Galad. Alongside Gil-Galad was the High King of Arnor and Gondor, a king of man known as Elendil. In this room, there were other elves and men that glared upon the outsiders with distressed looks. While a great many of the leaders did not trust the Warrior-King, they felt a need to make an alliance with him. The Last Alliance presented the history of Middle Earth, and their long grueling war with Sauron. Wenwu listened with his fingers clenched together as he heard about the Dark Lord. While there was still a high amount of distrust towards the Warrior-King, he presented an old saying that he had heard in his life, "An enemy of your enemy is a friend."

The Master of the Ten Rings offered a temporary alliance. As the Last Alliance and the Ten Rings gathered their armies, they marched toward the dark lands of Mordor. Through this journey, Wenwu had seen dwarves join the Last Alliance and heard the stories of the many races that dwelt upon these lands. There was a peaceful land with halfings, and legends of talking trees. In his many adventures, he had seen creatures that exceeded imaginations, but these legends were something else entirely. As they journeyed across these magnificent lands, he reflected on what the wise woman had warned him about all those nights ago. As he gazed upon this world, he felt as if he were empty. In his mind, he knew this alliance with the elves and men was only temporary. Once the war with Sauron was over, his battle for all of Middle Earth would soon begin. He needed more...

Outside the land of Mordor...

A great battle erupted between the Last Alliance and the Forces of Sauron. Many had fallen as the Siege of Barad-dur was coming to pass. Wenwu had seen many of his own warriors fall in this war against the armies of the Dark One. Through the battlefield; he saw several fallen elves, men, dwarves and orcs. There were creatures flying overhead as the bashing of swords echoed all throughout. Despite all his conquest, he had not seen such bloodshed on a battlefield. There were a great many of creatures that were as dark as the night itself. From a distance, he watched as the great Gil-Galad confronted a towering beast covered in armor. Wenwu witnessed as many troops retreated from this creature. He realized that this was the Dark Lord that so many had come to fear. This was Sauron himself. The Great Gil-Galad had engaged the Dark Lord in battle, but the bout was short. The Dark Lord had grabbed the High King back the throat, and several watched in agony as the Great Elf burst into flames. King Elendil and some of his fiercest troops went to avenge the High Elf King. With a powerful swing from his frightening mace, Sauron had obliterated the forces that came before him. Wenwu saw the body of King Elendil fall against the rocks. His son Isildur went to cradle his fallen father, as the Dark Lord made his way to the Prince.

The Warrior-King shouted to challenge the Dark Lord. Sauron stopped in tracks and turned his attention toward the outsider. He glared upon the Ten Rings that glowed bright on the battlefield. Wenwu felt as if Sauron was glaring into his very soul. "I see who you really are..." Sauron's voice burned inside Wenwu's chest as he reflected on his years as a lowly servant in the dirt. Despite this piercing voice, the Warrior-King continued to make his way toward the Dark Lord. From afar, Elrond watched as the two made their way closer to one another. He had witnessed the Mighty Elf Gil-Galad fall at the hands of Sauron, and he watched as Elendil met his end. Prince Isildur laid down beside his father and watched as the battle between the Dark Lord and the Warrior-King unfolded. He watched as the creator of the One Ring faced off against the Master of the Ten Rings. A battle of legend that would bring an end to this age has begun...

A real Lord of the Rings showdown.

I think the Mandarin can take out Sauron's corporeal body, but he will definitely be ensnared by the ring. Not really sure how I should be voting then.

Great match.

Great match.

If that is how it goes down then it’s a Sauron win. His spirit will live on as long as the Ring survives and it will eventually betray Mandarin and cause his death so that it can return to Sauron.
