The Critter could double as the balls in this challenge

Zerg cannon fodder (Zerglings) have no hands and don't throw balls.  I guess they can kick the balls at their opponents.

Critters are probably too small to throw a ball effectively, and are a ball themselves.  Maybe they roll into the dodgeball to hit it at the other team... like billiard balls.

Anyways, probably a comical match to watch.

I don’t know how Zerglings eventually hit the ball, but I think they can at least swing with their mandibles and make some contact. Critters just have no chance whatsoever of chucking a ball.

Chucking one? No, they can't do that. But the Critters are the ball themselves, so they won't have to worry too much about that.
