Agreed. Dredd is above most humans in most ways and millions if not billions survive in there every day.

Additionally,  if we can extrapolate from the comics, he is highly trained during academy to be resistant to mind control and other psionics. If he can break free then he's up against machines, which considering how common murderous robots and androids are in his world will be just another ordinary day for him.
