Oh geez. I don't think either of these do well here. My literal only thought on this one is that Mr. Peanut looks like the "PC" guy from the "I'm a Mac, I'm a PC" commercials, so that's my basis for backing Cap'n Crunch right now

Mr. Peanut, always a classy and can-do mascot, is all about action, adventure... and friends. He doesn't want to sell you peanuts... he IS the peanut. The Alpha-Nut.

His brand of gentlemanly yet James Bond like mayhem is just the thing the Pippin needs to give it a boost.  Would you ever see Wesley Snipes hanging out with Captain Crunch? No. No you wouldn't. Because Captain Crunch isn't cool enough for Wesley Snipes. Mr Peanut is, and Mr. Peanut is cool enough to sell the Pippin.

If Captain Crunch can continue to sell a cereal that destroys your gums and the roof of your mouth to this day while making it look exciting and outright more delicious than most other cereals, than I think he can manage to sell a few more Pippins to help Apple make a few more overpriced kickstands.
