Megastory 3.13

Previously: Out to stop an evil man who was building up an organization in order to rule the world, Stormwatch was dispatched to destroy his training camp.

Now I know it shouldn’t be this damn hard to beat these guys!” Stormwatch leader Battallion screamed at himself.

A couple of things became obvious the longer the battle dragged on.

The Bio Borgs knew all about Stormwatch and had strategies on how to fight them. That wasn’t any big surprise.

The Bio Borgs themselves had formidable abilities but they didn’t seem too coordinated on their own. Somebody out of the picture was pulling the strings.

Once Stormwatch did take these guys out, the residents of the base would have even more threats to throw at them. He didn’t want his team too worn out to face the next challenge.

“Hate to do this to you guys but I’m calling in the second team.”

“Nooo!” Came a chours of protests.

Being the primary Stormwatch team, Hellstrike, Diva, Fuji and Winter hated calling for backup. It made it look like they couldn’t handle things.

But leadership meant making the unpopular calls.

Team 2 was lead by Fahrenheit. She had Cannon and Flint. Team 2 was limited to a three man unit for the sake of smaller, lower profile missions. With the additional personnel, The Bio-Borgs started to loose the upperhand.

Monitoring the battle, Miles Mayhem turned to Master Asia.

“You’re guys had it for minute but Stormwatch doesn’t pussyfoot around.”

I see.” Master Asia went over to the communications station.

“Warriors. The invaders think they can vanquish us. Proceed to your Gunadams and repel them.”

Upon hearing the announcement, the young trainees looked at each other excitedly. They raced to their giant robot war machines and prepared to fight.

He was expecting it, but Battalion was a little breath taken upon seeing several Gunadam emerge from various hangers around the area.

Still they were ready for this eventuality. As another entity with the United Nations military division, the Robotch Defense Force acted as a support organization for Stormwatch should they encounter armies or mecha type threats.

The veritech figthers rained down upon the battle field like bombs. While many of the planes stayed in the air, several fighters came all the way in for a landing. In an impressive show of skill, the vehicles transformed into guardian mode- a gerwalker configuration that looked like an jet fighter standing on chicken legs.

Though the tactical network, Battalion heard the RDF group leader announce himself.

“This is Lieutenant Rick Hunter responding to Stormwatch aid.”

Battalion knew of Hunter by reputation. This would be his first time working with him.

“Welcome Lieutenant Hunter. I’m sure you know the drill. We’ll handle the super powered beings. You guys deal with the mecha.”

“Copy that.” Hunter replied.

The veritech that Hunter was apparently in started walking toward the Gundams.

The Gundam pilots noted the new development and focused on the Robotech machines.

Gundams, by design, were more powerful than Robotech machines but these child soldiers in training couldn’t have been any match for experienced veterans. Rick wasn’t as old as some of the others whom the Robotech Defense Force recruited but he was exceptionally skilled. Some suspected him to be a new type- enhanced humans- similar to Khan- but the RDF denied the accusation.

In his Gundam, Amuro Ray spotted Rick’s veritech and attempted to take it out in his opening salvo.

A bombardment from the air support threw him off.

By the time Amuro got his berings, Rick had launched his veritech into a super jump adding to the aerial bombardment.

The guy wasn’t running Amuro deduced. Simply taking advantage of his flight capabilities.

Fight Parameters:

Rick Hunter vs. Amoro Ray.

Rick is flying his standard VF 1J

Amuro Ray is piloting The RX 78 Gundam that he piloted in the first show.

I'm gonna go with Amuro Ray here...

His abilities as a New Type are definitely going to be handy here.

Thanks for the comments.

I think if Rick was piloting some Gundam he would have a chance but Amuro is genetically superior plus his machine is superior to any Robotech mecha.

This battle just keeps getting bigger and bigger. A lot of reveals and shockwaves for the Megastory are going to come from this battle.

Not at all familiar with the Macross/Robotech/etc. animes/mangas/novels, but the story here looks pretty good, leroy.
