Masters of Evil

 

Previously: Baron Zemo built a new Masters of Evil. Their victories included thrashing the Bionic Six, killing the Youngblood home team, as well as the mercenary team the Expendables.

 

 

Deep down, Vicious didn’t like working for Baron Zemo. He was fine in his slice he had carved out of life. Yet pragmatically, someday his underground activities would draw in a cape and cowl. Spandex, colored-outside underwear metahumans were popping up everywhere.

He knew he couldn’t stand up to that.

The Masters of Evil gave him protection and opportunity to expand his world.

Zemo declared that The Master of Evil needed to beef up their roaster. Vicious was the man to do that. With his connections to the criminal world he could easily recruit some small time muscle but with the ability to name drop Baron Zemo he could now bring in some super villains that would have otherwise been out of his class.

For this assignment, Gauron had recommended he take the girls with him. Xai Yu Fan and Xai Yu Lan were strange to him. He hadn’t seen them in action yet but Garuon promised that they would be useful. Vicious was a little disturbed at Gauron fixation on young girls but the man told him that such prodigies were a huge asset. He had said that Xai Yu Fan and Xai Yu Lan had taken out individuals that Gauron himself never would have had a chance against.

Given this sound argument, Vicious grudgingly agreed to bring them along.

Not many super-villains came. Or maybe they did and they just weren’t in costume. Vicious didn’t know any of them. His own Red Dragon Crime Syndicate had fallen apart after he had joined up with Zemo so friendly, reliable faces were unavailable.

Assuredly, the name drop of Baron Zemo drew everyone here. He figured a nice speech would get their attention.

“So what we’re looking for is some serous muscle! We’re making serious moves and as you all know, some serious super heroes are gonna stand in our way. What’s gonna happen is we’re gonna hit them first.”

“Hold on! I know Baron Zemo was involved in this but I’m not going after The Avengers!” a man protested.

“Don’t be a bitch!” Somebody else cursed. “I like the idea of taking them out! Iron Man put down an operation of mine with one blast and then flew off like we were nothing! If Baron Zemo has a plan to hit ‘em, I wanna hear about it!”

“Then listen up!” Vicious said. “I’m only looking for guys that are ready to do what needs to be done. Squeamish pussies can go back to your little hideouts let the real men get the job done!”

“Hey!” a black woman said. “You got ladies here too!”

Vicious stared her down and gave her a half smile. “Figure of speech! This is an equal opportunity gig! Here’s how this is gonna work! You can buy in and get a position! Or you can simply sign up and follow orders!”

“You know what?” a guy said. “I don’t know you! How do I know this isn’t some sting?”

Several of the criminals laughed.

Rolling his eyes, Vicious chose to ignore this man’s ignorance.

Then they got the sign up rolling.

As this proceeded smoothly a man approached Vicious.

“Hey, I’m not interested in fighting the Justice League but I got a girl that might be useful to you.

This girl was young, probably too young to be hanging out with this crowd. She had a tick and held herself in an awkward fashion. Vicious bluntly asked, “What’s wrong with her?”

“A little mental disorder. But she knows how to stay out of the way.”

“What’s she gonna do for me?”

“She’ll surprise you.” the man smiled slyly.

“I don’t do child sex slaves.” Vicious snapped turning away from him.

“That’s not what I mean!” the man said defensively. “She’s a monster in battle. Probably kick your ass!”

Insulted, Vicious looked at her. Although she didn’t meet his gaze her youth made him think of Garuon’s girls. They stood side by side, staring at him with their dead eyes.

“Okay, let’s see what she can do. She suddenly realized he couldn’t even tell them apart. At least he remembered their names. “Xai Yu Fan, give her a workout.”

The appropriate girl stepped up.

Zen seemed to know on instinct what was going on and squared off with the other girl.

 

Fight Parameters:

 

Zen vs. Xai Yu Fan in a demonstration type hand to hand fight. Nothing too serious. Just testing skills.
