Alliance of Evil saga

 

Previously: When the Silverhawks uncovered a Dominion operated base being used by the Dominators through mind control, The Dominion declared war on the Dominators.

 

The Dominion proved to be no match for the Dominators. Nevermind the backing of the Alliance of Evil, The Dominators won the war by developing a decease that killed almost all of the Founders. Rather than destroy the Dominion totally, the Dominators absorbed its resources into their own. Now the Dominators were the Dominion.

But there were those discontent with the new order. A surviving Founder Changeling took a company of Jem’Hedar and rebelled. It was only a matter of time before this rebellion was crushed.

But there was discontent among the Triceratons too. One in particular, named Traximus, began speaking out against the Triceraton position within the alliance of evil. He felt the Triceratons were simple hired muscle with no influence even in their own matters. The transmat incident was case in point. An Utrom warlord named Krang was given command of a company of Triceratons. Their mission was to construct an Utrom trasmat but Krang was captured by the Silverhawks and the Triceratons were punished for their failure. When Traximus heard about this, his Triceriton pride stirred.

So far he had been handled politically but signs of more extreme methods were starting to blare. It was time to bring together those that thought like him. A meeting was called and although Traximus wasn’t a famous figure, his name had been prominent enough to get peoples’ attention.

About thirty Triceratons came. It was up to him to rally them.

“This is an affront to our cutlure! This Alliance of Evil! We are not evil! We are Triceratons! We are strong! This Alliance of Evil that our leaders have up submitted to treats us like work mules! And for what? What glory does this alliance bring to the Triceratons? Nothing! I say we cast off these leaders and command out own destiny! Freedom for the Tricearatons! Freedom!”

It was then that the error of his decision surfaced.

The authorities raided the place but not Triceraton authorities. The Dominion’s Jem’Hadar headed up the operation to keep from making this a Triceraton civil war.

Many of the Triceratons came armed so the Jem’Hadar were in for a fight. As soon as the meeting was attacked though, they all knew that someone had to escape.

Pretty good set-up, leroy, if kinda short. 

I'm not all that familiar with Star Trek, but in looking up the Jem'Hadar, they don't appear to be much, if any stronger than humans. If the numbers on both sides are even, the Jem'Hadar probably don't stand much of a chance against the Triceratons head-to-head. The Jem'Hadar apparently use some kind of cloaking, though, and I think they usually try to overwhelm opponents with sheer numbers, so I'd guess the outcome would depend on how many soldiers they bring to this fight.

It seems like Jem'Hadar have more lethal tech from a distance while the Triceratons are more durable. It comes to whether the later can close the distance.
