Black on Black Violence

“It’s Uncle Ruckus- no relation- here with some more black on black violence.

“This time we got some giant robots that reek of black culture. Most fans say that these two Autobots would be of the darker shade if they were humans. If that’s true then they clearly have nothing to contribute to the Autobot cause.

“We’ll start with Jazz. In the old 80’s cartoon he was voiced by radio DJ Scatman Crothers. He was always shukin’ and jivin and never did anything. And for some reason, people liked him.

“In the comics, Jazz survived the Predacons when they were hunting him. Nice showing.

“He’s supposed to be some kind of special forces bad ass who can take leadership in Optimus Prime’s absence but only in certain circumstances. Must be when they need some entertainment.

“Now we’ll look at Blaster. He’s so worthless he turns into a boombox. It’s so bad that toy developers keep trying to update his alt mode and nothing works. That’s what he gets for playing all that jungle music.

“Blaster serves as the communications officer but there was this time that he actually beat Grimlocke in battle for leadership of the autobots. Nice showing for him.

“Interestingly, these two have never had any actual screen time or panels together so we’ve never seen them interact. I say it’s high time we get them face to face to see just who’s blacker (and uglier, and worthlesser, and less intelligent, you get the picture).

“It’s easy to get them to fighin’. If they really do have the soul of black folk then they’ll get to talking about each other mamma and the kid gloves are off.

“Let black on black violence commence!”

Heh, no one's gotten to this yet? Not really surprised; I'm not sure a lot of folks here know their TF history. That alright, though. :)

Anyways, good set-up, leroy. It's also good to see Uncle Ruckus "bless" us with his presence. :D 😛

As for the match, if one looks at each of Jazz's and Blaster's histories in various TF media, Jazz is probably more accomplished overall in combat. Given that, like Blaster, Jazz can use also sound in combat (though not nearly to the same extent), he wouldn't really be caught off guard by Blaster's tactics.

In the end, Jazz would probably win.

I got Jazz winning this, in Gen 1 I remember him being Optimus’ second in command and being so slick and cool in any situation he was in. Blaster as I recall was more of a background character, occasionally having some cool moments but nowhere near the level of Jazz.

"Gentlemen, let's be daring! Last one in is a red herring!"

"Hey Perceptor, what's shaking on little miss fortress?"

Man, a match between two of the smoothest Autobots in Transformers? Nice!

The write up is definitely in character. Great work.
