After hearing the news about the infection that had taken Wrecker, Omega ran for the trees. Echo and Tech jumped for their small comrade and held her back. Despite her size, she was strong and fast. It took a lot of their power to hold her back. Tears ran down the young clone's face while she tried to push herself out of her brother's grasp. Omega knew Echo and Tech were giving her orders but with the adrenaline running through her veins, she could not process what they were saying. Her mind raced to memories of Wrecker. She had to make sure that he was going to be okay. The young Clone managed to break free from Tech's grip, but Echo was able to wrestle her to the ground. Her entire body was shaking as her eyes kept going toward the location of the tree line. Despite her best efforts, the former ARC trooper kept her from running into the trees.

Echo knew exactly how she was feeling. In all the battles that he has seen during the War, he had lost many of his brothers. There were many times where he felt helpless while some of his brothers were trapped in dire situations. In those times, Echo wanted to do exactly what Omega was trying to do. He wanted to save his brothers at all costs. Echo held her back and tried to calm her down the best he could. He knew that if she ran through this wilderness in search for Wrecker, she could put herself in a dire situation. The former ARC trooper trusted that Hunter would be able to get Wrecker back to the Marauder. Echo was able to pull the young Omega back and catch her attention. The young clone looked into the dark brown eyes of her brother. She could see the same fear and pain that she felt in that moment deep within his eyes.

The tears stopped while her body stopped shaking. Omega started to calm down as she gazed into Echo's eyes. Watching over them, Tech stood in silence. He knew that it was best for Echo to calm her down first. Omega started giving a couple deep breaths before she and Echo rose to their feet. She glanced back at the trees and then wiped away the tears from her eyes. As the adrenaline faded, her eyes started to become swollen from the tears that were shed. While still in silence, she turned back and started walking back to the Marauder. Echo sighed while rubbing his face. He glanced back at the tree line in hopes that he would see Hunter emerging from the wilderness with Wrecker not far behind. Those hopes faded when he just saw the endless forests that surrounded them. Echo turned back and looked over Tech. The two Bad Batch members nodded at each other as they turned to walk back to the ship.

"We cannot just leave them out there!" Omega pleaded while Echo and Tech approached her.

"Right now, we do not have much of a choice." Echo responded.

"Wrecker would not leave is!" Omega exclaimed.

"Omega, I know exactly are you are feeling." Echo replied.

"No, you don't! You aren't constantly told to stay behind!" Omega hissed.

"Omega, I have lost...." Echo choked out before reflecting on the brothers that he had seen perish during the War. "I have seen brothers die. I have been where you are while others were far, far away. I did not have a choice but to hope that they would return. Tech, Hunter, Wrecker.... They have all been in that spot. If we go into that wilderness to search for them, we would be putting ourselves in danger. A danger that we cannot allow Hunter to be distracted by. Right now, we have to trust in Hunter. He is trying to bring Wrecker back with all the strength that he has and if he has to become concerned with our safety, then Wrecker very well may die."

"Echo is right." Tech said. "Their trackers are down and we have no way of finding them in that wilderness. We would be at risk of a great many dangers. Hunter would get distracted and the possibility of losing Wrecker would increase significantly."

"I still don't like just waiting around for them to come back." Omega responded while rolling her eyes.

"And we won't be." Echo replied while looking down at Omega. "Wrecker is hurt. We have to make sure the Marauder is ready to take care of him."

Meanwhile, Hunter looked down at the corpse of the pale Orc. The Defiler was strong and fast, but he was not match for Hunter's blaster. The Clone Sergeant steadily holstered his plaster and gave one final glance at the Orc Chieftain. He shrugged before sauntering over to Wrecker. The large Clone slowly opened his eyes and tilted his head to see the fallen enemy. Hunter could see that Wrecker continued to struggle with the fever from his battle with the Scorpius Rex, but the syringe that he provided him fought some of the infection.

"What'd I miss?" Wrecker asked weakly.

"Nothing much. Keep still, Wrecker and try not to talk. I will get you back to the ship." Hunter ordered while placing Wrecker's large blade back in his sheath.

"In one piece, I hope. Haha." Wrecker said with a faint laugh.

Hunter gave off a small smile before picking up the straps off the ground. "I will do as I must." He said under his breath as he went back to pulling the straps that were wrapped around the engine. His muscles started to burn while he pulled the engine and Wrecker back through this thick forest. The enhanced Clone could sense a change in the atmosphere. With a faint smell and drastic drop in the temperature, he knew that a storm was coming over the horizon. Hunter grunted while he continued moving through the wilderness. There were sounds of creatures running for cover as the storm started to make its way over the land. After a couple large drops of water from the skies above, the world became dark with a powerful rain. The wind howled with a fearsome scream and lightning shot across the skies. Hunter screamed as he pushed forward.

With the powerful storm that fell upon the land, Echo and Tech raced to get the necessary supplies inside the Marauder. After getting the ship ready to provide medical aid for Wrecker, Tech looked around the ship. He soon realized that something was terribly wrong. While Echo was getting the supplies ready, Tech asked a question that caused an empty feeling to enter Echo's stomach.

"Where is Omega?" Tech asked.

Echo turned his attention away from the supplies and then looked around the ship. "Damn." He said under his breath while glancing back at Tech. "She must have gone out when the storm came."

"Stay here." Tech ordered while picking up a tracking device. "I will find her and bring her back. Just make sure everything is ready for Wrecker."

"How do you plan on finding her in this storm?" Echo asked while waving his hand in the air.

"I put a tracker on her a while back. For moments such as these. I will find her in no time." Tech said as he got the device working.

"Be careful." Echo said while the doors of the Marauder opened wide.

"When have we ever been careful?" Tech responded as he ran out into the storm.

In the thick wilderness with the torrential down pour, Omega could not see much ahead of her. After the storm came, she was certain that she would need to go and help with Wrecker. Now after getting disoriented in this terrifying storm, she knew she would be of no help. She was lost in this wilderness while a storm was beating down upon her. The rain washed away her tears while she reflected on her training. All the countless hours that she spent with Hunter and Echo had led her to this moment. She knew that she would need to find some kind of cover or shelter to wait out this powerful storm.

While making her way through the heavy downpour, she saw what looked like the entrance of a cave within a ravine. A small smile formed over Omega's face as she realized that she could try and wait out the storm in there. As she made her way down the ravine, her feet slipped out from under her and she slid down the ravine. She slid into the cave entrance and her body hit against a large rock. The young clone was able to push herself to her feet. Her head was throbbing while she turned on her flashlight. Despite the beam of light coming from her equipment, the cave was pitch black.

It took a moment for her eyes to adjust to the darkness, but she continued down the cave. There was a stench that filled the air that caused the young Clone to cover her nose with her free hand. She had a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach and she knew that she should have stayed with the Marauder. While moving deeper into this mysterious cave, she saw a webbing that hung off the ceilings. The young clone examined the cobwebs closely. Suddenly, a cold chill ran down her spine once she realized that there were skeletons scattered throughout this cave. Her blood ran cold once she saw lifeless bodies tangled within the horrifying webs. Omega quickly reached for her energy bow. Before she could get her weapon ready for combat, something quietly descended down upon her.

Omega's body went limp as a stinger entered her body. Her energy bow and equipment fell on the wet ground below her. Before her body even hit the ground, she was tangled up in the web of a foul creature. The beast known as Shelob took the paralyzed Omega deep within her lair.

Tech was able to track the young Omega through the raging storm. After carefully going down that same ravine that Omega slipped down, he wandered into the cave. He turned on the lights of his equipment and started calling out for Omega. He then saw the cobwebs and the bodies that Omega stumbled upon. Tech looked over the webbing and realized that there must have been some sort of large arachnid in this cave. He then found Omega's energy bow and equipment laying on the ground. Tech knew that she must have been taken by the creature. The Bad Batch member took out his two blaster pistols and went further into the creature's lair. He knew that this creature would be extremely dangerous and he could not let his guard down even for a moment.

I can't not vote for Tech... I might be emotionally compromised though given recent events.

Part of me feels like they are planning something else. Like throwing a curve ball or something. I feel like there will be more to it

Yeah. It might be a fakeout oldest trick in the book, but then developing characters beforehand is also an old trick.

That is true. I feel like it could definitely go towards Crosshair's redemption arc on when/if that ever really happens
