Match 19054 Slash (Eternal Champions) vs. Sasquatch (Darkstalker version)

THE TRUE CHOSEN ONE: A 2ND FIGHTING GAME CROSSOVER PART 15

The Thunder God, Raiden, watched on with concern as one of the champions presented to him, Trident, was struggling mightily in his fight against the squid monster, Hydron. The time displaced warrior fought valiantly as he defended himself from Hydron’s trident weapon strikes by using his own trident replaced hand. He tried many capoeira techniques to keep the sea monster at bay, however Hydron was proving to be too powerful. Raiden glanced over at Slash. The caveman warrior hand picked by the Eternal Champion had accompanied Raiden and Trident to this battlefield. 

Currently Slash was doing what he was told by helping innocent bystanders find shelter during the fight or escape the area all together. His assistance was now needed in the direct conflict or Trident may soon face imminent death. Raiden called out to Slash, but before a word was able to make it out of his mouth he was engulfed by a mysterious green flame. When the flame dissipated, Raiden found himself in a dark cave.

RAIDEN: What? Where?

?: Well, looky here, wasn’t expecting to run into you here.

Raiden turned to his right to see a familiar but unexpected face, the Black Dragon, Kano.

RAIDEN: Kano! Where are we? What have you done?

Kano chuckled.

KANO: I ain’t done a thing. I’m a prisoner here just like you.

RAIDEN: Prisoner? There is no mortal prison that can hold the God of Thunder!

Raiden’s eyes sparkled with electricity and went completely white. He shot lightning bolts from his hands. The lightning bolts bounced off invisible barriers around him and were shot back.Raiden attempted to teleport away but was unable to.

RAIDEN: What manner of sorcery is this?

KANO: Sorcery indeed.

Two figures conversed in the distance. Raiden was unable to make out who they were in the darkness.

FEMALE VOICE: This guy is supposed to be one of the primary protectors of this world?

MALE VOICE: Yes, he is the one called Raiden.

FEMALE VOICE: Trapping him was so easy. How pathetic.

RAIDEN: Who are you? Reveal yourselves!

MALE VOICE: The caged animal makes demands of its jaliers, how very bold.

FEMALE VOICE: He is desperately looking for answers to things he can’t begin to comprehend. It is not yet time, Thunder God.
The two shadowy figures disappeared into the darkness and Raiden was left alone clenching his fists in frustration.

KANO: Lovely blokes, ain’t they?

Back at the coastal city under threat from the monstrous Hydron, Trident was fading fast. Hydron spun his body around like a cyclone and bowled over the Atlantean gladiator. Hydron then grabbed Trident with a few of his tentacles and threw him around like a rag doll.

Nearby a fire had broken out and the flames hypnotized Slash as fires always did, so much so that he did not notice his teammate and friend’s desperate need for help. Also close by, another monster of sorts had made his way to the ruckus.

Sasquatch, the village protector of the Bigfoot tribe, was far away from home. Sasquatch was unsure of how he had arrived in this city, but immediately noticed that the Mediterranean terrain was much different than his village home in the basin of the Rocky Mountains in Canada. Sasquatch thought back to the time he had returned home only to find all of his fellow Bigfoot missing and a large hole in the center of the village. That had turned out to be Jedah Dohma’s doing, and the tribe were in Jedah’s realm, Majigen. This place looked nothing like Majigen and Sasquatch couldn’t recall jumping or falling down any holes. Sasquatch decided his best course of action was to commune with local humans who may be able to help him find his way home. He was disappointed to discover most of the streets abandoned. He wondered where everyone had gone. He knocked on doors, but no one would answer. The few humans Sasquatch did come across were running frantically from the part of the city facing the ocean. Sasquatch raised his hand to say hello, however his appearance would only frighten them more. Sasquatch stomped toward the docks curious to find out what was scaring all the humans away. Before he could get an answer, he was transfixed by one of the most beautiful sights he had ever come across. It was a large cart of bananas.
The anxiousness Sasquatch had felt was now replaced by pure joy. He jumped on the cart and devoured every banana in sight.

VENDOR: Hey you! Stop that! That’s my product you’re eating!

Sasquatch simply looked up and smiled, baring his fangs. He offered to share some of the bananas. The sight of Sasquatch’s sharp teeth terrified the vendor and he screamed for help.

VENDOR: Someone help! There’s another monster and he is destroying my cart!

Sasquatch rubbed the top of his head in confusion.

The high-pitched screams for help snapped Slash out of his fire induced trance and he immediately sought out the trouble. When he laid his eyes on the Sasquatch, Slash grabbed on tightly to his spiked club.

SLASH: Lightning man say my job is protect, me will protect!

Slash grunted loudly and charged at Sasquatch waving his club in the air.

SLASH: Me will slay the beast! Me will slay the beast!

Sasquatch I personally see as one of the weaker darkstalkers, both gameplay and canon wise, meanwhile I think Slash is at least pretty high tier amongst the other Eternal Champions. I’ll vote for Slash I guess.
