Nezuko vs Vex’ahlia “Vex” Vessar

(This fight happens parallel to my other fight:)

“ALRIGHT WHERE THE HELL ARE THE DEMONS?! Come out wherever your hiding and fight me! Fight the great King of the Mountains Inosuke Hashibira!”

Everyone in the bar froze where they stood: Grog, Pike, and Keyleth in the middle of a bar brawl, Percy trying to stop them, and Scanlan in the middle of chatting up a one of the pub’s waitresses. Everyone was now staring oddly at the peculiar young man wearing a boar’s head and demanding to know where the “demons” are.

“GAAAAAHHH! THE DEMONS ARE HERE? WHERE? OH WE’RE GONERS FOR SURE INOSUKE! GONERS I TELL YOU!” Shrieked Zenitsu as he jumped on the boar boy’s shoulders and clung to his head in fear.

“Let go of me you damn coward! I told you to stop follow me!” Inosuke growled as he tried to pry Zenitsu off of him.

Watching this comedic scene play out the tension in the bar slowly faded away and a hearty laugh was shared amongst its patrons at the two odd newcomers.

“So Pig Head guy what’s the strangest creature you’ve ever killed?” Grog asked Inosuke as he joined them at their table.

“Mwahahahaha! I’ve killed so many strange and powerful creatures that it’s hard to choose: I’ve killed horned demons, spider demons, a demon disguised as a train, a demon disguised as an Oiran and her brother!”Inosuke gleefully listed out.

“Got a hard-on for demons don’t ya? But we can dig it, can’t we Grog?” Pike smirked and nudged her adopted brother.

“Fook yeah we can! Did you hack those fookin’ demon shites to pieces boyo?” Grog inquired eagerly.

“To bloody chunks old man! Until I was covered in their blood or my own!” Inosuke arrogantly bragged.

“Oh I like this boy already Pike!” Grog chuckled and slapped Inosuke’s shoulder.

“Me too buddy! Alright guys hears to hacking fookin’ demons to bloody chunks!” Pike raised her glass to toast.

“To bloody chunks!”

“To bloody chunks!”

Clank!

“So you’re saying you’ve been with a lot of women?” Zenitsu asked in wonder.

“Women. Men. Elves. A dwarf in a drag once. If you got a hole your fair game to Scanlan Shorthalt,” the gnome bard proudly declared.

“Oh, I-I see,” Zenitsu blushed and looked away.

“Why do you ask? Don’t tell me a strong, important Demon Slayer like yourself is lacking in the love department,” Scanlan lightly teased the blonde youth.

“I’m not strong, or important. I’m just a weak, sniveling coward. No wonder no woman is willing to love me,” Zenitsu sadly admitted.

“You just need a little advise and a small boost in confidence kiddo, and luckily for you old uncle Scanlan is willing to teach you both of those things for a small price,” Scanlan offered.

“Really? What? What is it? I’ll do anything!” Zenitsu practically begged.

“Information on your sword will suffice,” Percy de Rolo requested as he unsheathed and examined Zenitsu’s sword. “I don’t suppose you know the metallurgy of this blade do you? Or what magically enhancements or spell types are embedded to it?”

“Me-metallurgy? Magic? Wh-what are you talking about?” Zenitsu looked confused.

“Look can you explain how it’s able to slay the demons you hunt? Or whether its effects would work on say, a dragon?” Percy reiterated his question.

“A-a-a DRAGON? Look mister I don’t know the exact details of my sword but I do know that it’s specifically made to slay demons and not dragons!” Zenitsu sputtered out indignantly. The young man suddenly blanched as he realized he probably shouldn’t be discussing such sensitive information so casually. “By the way, uh, you guys wouldn’t happen to be, uh, well you know… demons or something?”

“…. No my good man, I assure you that my compatriots and I are most certainly not demons,” Percy decisively said as he adjusted his glasses.

“Although Percy here almost sold his soul to a black smoke demon before we saved his pompous arse,” Scanlan chuckled at the memory.

“Not the time Scanlan!” Percy warned him.

“T-then your also not in league with Muzan Kibutsuji r-right?” Zenitsu asked to make certain.

“Can’t say that I’ve ever heard of that name before, have you Scanlan?” Percy asked.

“Nah, if I meet someone with that exotic of a name I’d remember them. Especially if they were hot,” Scanlan smirked lechery.

“Oh thank goodness for that,” Zenitsu breathed a sigh of relief. “Okay I answered your question now what about that advise you promised me? Come on man I’m desperate here!”

“Pull up a seat then kiddo, Dr. Scanlan’s class on bedding fair maidens is in session,” the cocky gnome declared.

“Well it looks like the Demon Slayers aren’t gonna be much help against Thordak after all,” Keyleth spoke up next to Percy.

“So it seems. I suppose I dragged halfway across the world for nothing then,” Percy sadly surmised.

“Well at least no one got hurt and we cleared up any misunderstandings in a calm, reasonable manner,” Keyleth offered positively. As she spoke that thought, she glanced around the room to realize her party was short two members. “Hey, where are Vax and Vex?”

************************************

Dammit Vax give me a clear shot already!

A frustrated Vex’ahlia observed the fight between her brother and that red haired Demon Slayer from a nearby tree, with an arrow already notched and waiting for a clear shot. Some would call shooting an opponent when they don’t expect it a dishonorable move, but frankly she didn’t care a fig for honor of any kind.

But just as she was about to let loose her arrow on the unsuspecting red head, a loud crack suddenly drew her attention to that large wooden box the Demon Slayer had carrying. To the half-elf ranger’s shock the box had been broken open and out stepped what looked to be a petite young girl in a light pink kimono and oddly enough a muzzle over her mouth. However Vex’s sharp elf eyes quickly noticed that this was no ordinary girl, even from a distance she was able to notice how sharp and long the girls finger nails were, the prominent and unnatural vein bulges framing her eyes, and the way her pale pink eyes appeared slit like a cat, almost exactly like that mysterious man Vax and her encountered earlier that night.

“NEZUKO!”

Nezuko didn’t acknowledge her brother’s call, her slitted eyes locked intently on the tree across the clearing, the one where Vex was perched in.

Shit!

Vex fired an arrow but the girl moved faster, charging forward and leaping through the air, letting out what appeared to be a fierce snarl behind that muzzle!

Bollocks!

Vex barely managed to back flip out of the way, watching the girl, Nezuko, smash the branch she was on to splinters! Landing on her feet Vex back peddled to get some distance even as Nezuko launched herself at her opponent again!

“VEX!” She heard her brother call.

“I’m fine! Focus on your fight!” Vex called back to him as she drew back her bow to aim at her rapidly charging opponent!

************************************

Well I already wrote up the brothers fight, only fair that their little sisters get in on the action also.

The fight takes place outside of a town, in a mostly wooden area at night. Nezuko and Vex have their standard gear. Who wins?

Also if you haven’t seen/heard of Demon Slayer or The Legend of Vox Machina yet, PLEASE check both out now! Both shows have just gotten started and now is the perfect time to get into them!

The question for this side of the sibling fight is can Vex keep the distance between her and Nezuko long enough to put down the girl with ranged attacks. I think she can. Although it could go either way.

Another good set-up, Pizzaguy. The arc is looking pretty interesting.

As for the match, while Vex seems skilled and tough, I don't know if she can do enough damage to Nezuko to put the girl down before Vex herself gets taken out. Looks like the Nezuko girl can heal away almost damage that's done to her, at least in the heat of battle.
