Kagami Tsurugi vs Momo Yaoyorozu

 

“BRRRRRRRR! THOSE OF YOU IN THE AUDIENCE PLEASE MAKE USE OUR PROVIDED PARKAS AND HOT COCOA! THERE’S ONLY SO MUCH OUR FORCE FIELDS CAN KEEP OUT!”

 

“Ice-Make: Arrows!” Gray Fullbuster called out as he fired a barrage of ice arrows at his opponent!

 

But Weiss Schnee was zipping around the arena on her Glyphs, easily dodging the arrows her opponent sent her way and then summoned and fired a series of Icicles at the Fairy Tail wizard, intending to skewer him!

 

“Ice-Make: Shield!” Gray shouted as a wall of ice shaped like a giant flower arose to protect him from the attack. “Ice-Make: Cannons!”

 

Multiple canons were created around the mage, all firing blocks of rubble at the Schnee heiress! Weiss once more made use of her Glyphs to dodge, bob, and weave all across the arena, at one point using a Glyph to launch herself into the air and land directly behind the Ice Wizard. With a sweep of her rapier Weiss unleashed a wall of Ice Pillars towards her foe, destroying his cannons and burying him under the icy wall. 

 

But with a shattering boom the Pillars broke apart and Gray emerged from the debris no worse for wear. Spinning the chamber on her trusted Myrtenaster Weiss switched to Fire Dust and fired blasts of fire at the Wizard only for him to freeze the fireballs solid before they could touch him.

 

“Don’t make me laugh, Natsu’s fires are much hotter then those things! Ice-Maker: Crescent Blades!” Gray once more called his attack.

 

As the barrage of crescent shaped ice projectiles neared her, the Atlas born Huntress switched to Wind Dust and blew away her opponent’s projectiles rather easily. 

 

“And you’re much more predictable then any Grimm I’ve had to deal with,” Weiss smirked arrogantly as she summoned a giant ice insect, the Queen Lancer, to assist her.

 

“Shit!” Gray Fullbuster cursed as he was forced to dodge and run as the ice summon attacked and stabbed at him with its giant stinger! After finding his own ice Lances to be ineffective against the oversized ice bug, Gray focused his energy on the attack needed to destroy the summon!

 

“Ice-Make: Ice Cannon!” With his large bazooka in hand, Gray managed to blast the huge hornet! Shattering it to dozens of pieces.

 

But so focused on destroying the summon, the Fairy Tail ice mage was caught off guard when Weiss struck him from the side, knocking him back a few feet! The Schnee Huntress blitzed him a few more times until the Mage quickly summoned an ice hand shield to defend from her rapid attacks.

 

“Ice-Make: Cold Slicer!” Gray roared as he swiped his arm at Weiss Schnee, managing to hit her with a slash-attack made of ice! 

 

Knocked back and grateful to her aura for taking most of the damage, Weiss was about to attack again, only to be forced back on defense when Gray used to breather to quickly launch a counterattack.

 

“Ice-Make: Cold Excalibur!”

 

Pressing the attack with his own sword, Gray swiped and slashed at the Ice Huntress, not letting up for a moment. Weiss blocked and countered the best she could, she blasted her foe with a few more Ice Dust blasts but the Ice Wizard showed zero signs of being hurt by them.

 

“Sorry lady but no one can beat me in a battle of ice magic!” Gray Fullbuster declared as he once again knocked Weiss backwards.

 

“Don’t underestimate me Wizard! Ice has been my family’s birthright for generations!” Weiss Schnee asserted as she created several more summons: Arma Gigas, Boarbatusks, and Lancers to name a few.

 

“Heh, you’re pretty good. You’d make one hell of an Ice Wizard Schnee,” Gray grinned as he used Ice Make: Heavy Knights to create several ice knights to counter her.

 

“Flattery will get you no where Wizard, but don’t let that stop you,” Weiss smirked and flicked her ponytail over her shoulder.

 

“What’s this? Another love rival attempting to steal my beloved from me? STAY AWAY FROM MY BELOVED GRAY, YOU VILE WOMAN! JUVIA WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!” An enraged Juvia Lockser shouted from the stands.

 

“Juvia please calm down!” Lucy exclaimed as she had to hold back Juvia to keep her in the stands.

 

“She loooooooooooves him,” Happy noted teasingly.

 

“Alright enough talking, let’s finish this Schnee!” Gray shouted as his summons charged.

 

“Oh we’re about to Wizard!” Weiss replied as her own forces attacked!

 

The ice summons of both the mage and the huntress did battle, both sides doing great damage and taking near equal casualties. But while this was happening, Gray appeared to be focusing on summoning a great deal of magical energy, black markings showing on his body to demonstrate the demonic power he was tapping into. But Weiss noticed what Gray was doing and in turn summoned the last of her Aura and Ice Dust before charging at Gray, intending on finishing the match once and for all!

 

“I’ll show you what a Schnee can do!”

 

“Ice Make: Ice Wall!” 

 

With a large boom a gigantic iceberg shot through the arena, most of the audience was briefly blinded by the cold frost spewing from it! 

 

“DAMN! OUR CONTESTANTS JUST LOVE DESTROYING OUR ARENA DON’T THEY? Probably cause they won’t be the ones fronting the bill… BUT WAIT! SOMEONE’S EMERGING FROM THE ICE FOLKS! IT’S… IT’S… IT’S WEISS SCHNEE! I REPEAT WEISS SCHNEE HAS WON THIS MATCHUP LADIES AND GENTS! ANOTHER WIN FOR TEAM RWBY!!!”

 

“Yeah!!! I knew you could do it Weiss!” Ruby Rose cheered on her teammate.

 

“That’s our Ice Queen!!!” Yang Xiao Long also cheered Weiss on.

 

“Not bad. You almost had me for a second there,” Weiss Schnee got her props Gray, who was frozen solid from Weiss’ last attack. “If you ever feel like a rematch just let me know. I’ll be waiting.”

 

Winking at the still frozen solid wizard, Weiss confidently strolled out of the destroyed arena, soaking in the applause from the crowd.

“Woah! Talk about picking on someone your own temperature. Those Rwby girls are something else huh M’Lady?” Cat Noir asked his partner, having watched the match from the television in the hospital room.

 

“They’re very strong alright. I guess I should be grateful you got out of your matchup with only a few bruised ribs,” Ladybug sighed.

 

“You know bugaboo if you’re so worried, you could try kissing my wounds better,” Cat Noir offered flirtatiously.

 

“Forget it Cat! You already got your kiss for today, now you’re just getting greedy,” The red and black heroine scolded the Cat hero.

 

“You’re so heartless M’Lady. And to think I was hoping to get better in time to watch Ryuko’s match in person,” Cat Noir whined like a child.

 

“Sorry Kitty but I don’t think that was gonna happen regardless,” Ladybug smiled and shook her head at her partner’s antics. But then her eyes widened as she registered his last line. “Wait a minute! Did you say that Ryuko was competing as well?”

 

“Oh course I did. Didn’t I mention that earlier?” Cat Noir asked.

 

“Ladybug? Cat Noir?” From the doorway walked the woman in question; the dragon-themed superhero Ryuko. “I must thank you both for allowing me the opportunity to compete in this tournament. I know that you both usually only give out the Miraculous during emergencies so I understand that allowing me the use of it now represents the great trust you both have in me.”

 

“….Yes! Sure! I definitely was aware that Cat Noir had given you the Dragon Miraculous outside of a mission! And was completely, 100% fine with letting you use it in such a reckless, irresponsible way that could have disastrous consequences if something were to go wrong!” Ladybug’s eyes twitched as she spoke.

 

“It is a great honor to be able to compete in such a prestigious tournament, and an even greater honor to be representing the heroes of Paris in it. I promise you both I will win my battle no matter who I am matched against!” Ryuko promised them.

 

“Yeah you got this Ryuko! Do your best!” Cat Noir hyped her up.

 

“Of course! We have complete faith in you!” Ladybug added.

 

“WILL THE CONTESTANTS FOR THE SEVENTH MATCH PLEASE MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE ARENA! WE’LL BE KICKING IT OFF SHORTLY!” 

 

“It is my time to fight. Wish me luck!” Ryuko bowed her head and left the room.

 

“Uh, you’re not mad at me are you M’Lady?” Cat Noir nervously asked.

 

“Am I mad that you went behind my back and risked the security of one of our Miraculouses for a sports tournament? Why ever would I be mad?” Ladybug asked through gritted teeth.

“Alright so Yaoyorozu’s match is up next right? You can do it Yaoyorozu!” Ochaco Uraraka cheered on her friend.

 

“Ribbit! It won’t be easy though. Did you see what happened to Bakugo and Todoroki? I’m a little nervous at how powerful our opponents are,” Tsuyu Asui cautiously said.

 

“Don’t worry Tsu! No way is Yaoyorozu gonna lose! She’s the smartest girl in our class!” Mina Ashido insisted.

 

“Indeed I cannot afford to lose this match. Our school has already suffered two loses in a row, and I cannot afford to let us lose a third,” Momo Yaoyorozu vowed, getting herself in the right mindset for the fight. “For our school’s honor I must win this fight no matter what!”

 

“Yeah! That’s the spirit Yaoyorozu!” Ochaco once again cheered.

 

“See Tsu? I told you not to worry!” Mina smiled confidently.

 

“Ribbit! Okay just be careful Yaoyorozu,” Tsu finally relented.

 

“IN THIS CORNER! FIGHTING OUT OF PARIS, WE GOT OURSELVES ANOTHER MIRACULOUS HERO READY TO GIVE IT ALL SHE’S GOT! ELUSIVE AS THE WIND! POWERFUL AS THE FLOOD! AND SWIFT AS LIGHTNING! IT’S THE DRAGON-THEMED SUPERHEROINE RYUKO!”

 

“Another French hero? She does look pretty tough,” Ochaco admitted.

 

“Yeah but she’s still no match for Yaoyorozu!” Mina insisted.

 

“AND FOR HER OPPONENT! WE GOT OURSELVES ANOTHER STUDENT FROM UA HIGH, READY TO AVENGE THE TWO LOSSES HER SCHOOL HAS ALREADY SUFFERED! SHE’S SMARTS, SKILLS, AND A QUIRK THAT CAN LITERALLY CREATE ANYTHING SHE CAN THINK OF! LET’S HEAR IT FOR MOMO YAOYOROZU!”

 

“It is my time. Wish me luck girls,” Momo said before marching into the arena opposite her opponent.

 

“Kon’nichiwa. I am Kagami Tsurugi. You honor me with this fight,” The Dragon Heroine introduced herself.

 

“The honor is all mine. I warn you though, I have no intention of losing this match. So make sure you hold nothing back,” Momo warned her.

 

“I will not. For I promised my friends I would win this match no matter what!” Kagami said seriously.

 

“Good. Then let us begin this fight!” Momo insisted.

Hey, two characters that I added to the site are in a match together! 😃

Anyway, I like the match, and give the setup a 5.0.

[Macklemore]

Gotta say, they seem to have similar physical stats and the only difference that I can think of is the fact that Kagami has elemental advantages over Momo. Momo's Creation quirk is good and all, but in a battle I'd take wind, electricity and water what she has.
