This really depends on how you look at the challenge. If Samus is hunting Bugs for a bounty or a motivated reason, Bugs is gonna have a pretty much impossible time, but he's toony and annoying enough she may just give up.

In short, yes. Bugs can convince her. He just can't loose this category. Simple as that. Bugs IS this category.

I'm actually certain that he can't convince her. Samus is simply too non-nonsense for this category for her to ever fail to Bugs, even if he did basically inspire this category and all it stands for.

From what I've seen of the Metroid universe, Samus isn't nearly as gullible and manipulated by toon force antics as Bugs' usual foes. While Samus won't actually subdue, etc., Bugs, she's not gonna be convinced that it isn't wabbit season, either.
