The downside of The Machine is that it's not sentient. It can predict violent occurrences involving people but it can't do anything about it. I think with a modification, it could predict outside incursions. Then it can alert it's humans and they can stop it.

Based on this, I think the obvious choice is GLaDOS. I did find something about an Ice-9 virus used in the Person of Interest show. Wonder if that can be used by the Machine somehow to get to GLaDOS?
