From what I've looked up on Wintergreen, he doesn't seem the type to rehab someone. I could see the Djinn eventually convincing him to make some corrupted wish.

I don't think the Wintergreen has the ability to rehabilitate the Djinn. Unfortunate pull for him here.

Good and evil are constructs rooted in human being norms and beliefs.

The Djinn seeks to release his imprisoned race through the fulfilment of wishes.

Wishing the Djinn to "stop being evil" could just as easily see Wintergreen turned into a Djinn so that the actions of the Wishmaster are no longer perceived as "evil".
