Yeah, Rodimus is not only stronger, more durable, and has more potent firepower than the Batmobile, but with top speeds at 200 mph, he's also at least as fast.

Heh heh. I put it vehicle pictures for Rodimus (and Optimus and Blurr too) just for these matches. The Hot Rod version would win this and the Rodimus Prime version would just destroy the Batmobile.

Transformers is a big blind spot in my pop culture vision. Does Rodimus win even if he has to stay in car form? Can they use weapons and gadgets and stuff while transformed?

Well, his toys tend to be able to have weapons mounted on or in the vehicle mode's trailer: 

Not to mention that with most of his toys, the trailer can also transform into a turret Rodimus can mount: 

Not that it matters much, since he already has his robot mode.

Heh, you should say the same thing for most of the terrains for this slot, but it's kind of late to bring up that argument now. People that drafted Transformers have been using their alt modes in debates pretty much from jump.

Just because people have argued it doesn't mean I have to buy it. All I'm saying is that if I had the Batmobile that would for sure be my main argument. This is a car category, but a giant robot category. Arguing that transformers have to be in their car forms makes a lot of sense to me. It's not my fight so I'm not gonna keep pressing the issue but that seems like a solid angle to go with in my opinion
