Sportsmaster has weapons at least to kind of protect himself with. It might help him survive a bit longer.

I think Sportsmaster's more aggresive approach is going to harm him. A cocaine rage addled bear will focus on the guy attacking it.

 

Ippo has some high speed related feats and durability related feats. This coupled with his more cautious nature will result in Ippo avoiding the bear longer than Sportsmaster
