The incredible versus the unstoppable


It’s been pretty busy trying to mix his balanced life as a super hero, husband and as a father. If it had been anyone else, they would have drank their worries away and complained about it to random passerbys at the bar. Thankfully, this man was different enough that he could handle everything.

Even being super heroes themselves

Robert “Bob” Parr was at home today, having dinner with the family as they talked about their day. The entire Incredibles family were happy with their day, but things were not the same since super heroes were made legal again.

Gaggles of new super villains started to pop up, many of them being criminals before that as they thought that now heroes were coming back, it was time to upgrade their weaponry.

Sure some of them had robotic suits and lazer pistols now, but that wasn’t the end of it. Many of them have had tech that would make Syndrome proud such as gauntlets that shot shock waves directly at the target or mechanical suits that mimicked the strength of rhinos.

Even with the new super heroes, it was getting harder and harder to keep them inline. So many of these heroes never even saw the end of a gun, let alone lasers, so it took them a while to get used to being shot at. Mr. Incredible on the other hand was already used to it, being one of the older and one of the last surviving old-school superheroes left back in the day, so he made sure that they were ready and trained many of them day and night to hold their own, or at least hold their own long enough until help arrived. It worked, getting many more criminals to give up and willingly turn themselves in in fear of supers hunting them down.

Today was different, though.

Time continued to move on once more as Mr. Incredible would be sleeping on the couch, tired from his night of super hero work. Hellen would walk up to him, gently shaking him awake and halting his snoring.

“Huh, wha--? Oh, hey Hellen.” Bob sat up, still in his casual wear.

Hellen sighed, sitting beside him and rubbing his shoulders. “Honey, you should relax. These new heroes, they’re doing great.”

Hellen tried to reassure Bob, but he still had a hint of worry in his system. “I know, but villains are coming out of the wood work like bunnies. New one after new one!” He exclaimed. “I just finished helping Fro-Zone fight a villain that controlled glass and another that can turn into clay. These super villains are becoming much more ridiculous and strong, I had to help them so they wouldn’t be crushed….”

Hellen nodded. “I know honey, but super heroes are coming out just as fast! Many of them just as strong!” She tried to keep reassuring her husband, smiling at him. “Look, right now, I was told they would be doing something called ‘Moniter Duty’. Apparently one of the supers are rich enough to build a base for everyone to hang around and look for duties to accomplish without tiring themselves out and being spread thin.”

Bob raised an eyebrow. “Was it that Bruce fellow? No powers, but he’s the smartest man I know. Still think he should have just become a detective.”

Hellen giggled. “But he’s helping us out, and that’s good! Thanks to his idea, villains are becoming better to handle and thankfully, nothing out of hand has happened yet.” Hellen kissed his cheeks and turned his head towards her. “Honey, sometimes you just gotta pick your battles. Don’t just rush into everything.”

As she said this, a large explosion echoed towards their house. Looking out the window, they could see a cloud of smoke coming from the city. Bob had a feeling and turned the T.V. on, seeing the news cast playing instead of his favorite sport. The reporter seemed to be right in front of what seemed like the bank and super heroes as well as police laying across the ground, hopfully just wounded and not---

“Breaking news! A new super villain had just broke into the Metroville Bank, shrugging off any and all bullets from the local police! We had hopes that the super heroes would help out, but nothing that was thrown at him seemed to work! The U.S. Army have only just arrived, hopfully we can take this guy down and be on our--!!”

He went quiet as the camera turned towards what seemed like tanks rolling up the street, stopping in front of the bank and aiming their cannon at the large hole the entrance used to be. What seemed like a human figure was thrown out, hitting one of the tanks, denting it.

Bob noticed who it was that was thrown so easily. “Wait a minute, that’s Brick. He took down Brick!”

That was when the army can be heard to fire their weapons, only for a large, deep guffaw to come from the hole. It was then a large vault door was thrown at another tank, making the soldiers panic. The camera can be seen falling to the ground, the live feed cutting off.

Bob quickly turned off the T.V. and took his shirt off, showing the iconic costume as he digged in his pockets for his mask. “I gotta go, they need me!”

Hellen would have protested, but this seemed a ton more serious than the other fight. Possibley more serious than Syndrome. Hellen nodded, giving him a kiss. “Understood. I’ll get the kids ready.”

He didn’t want them there as he feared this man wouldn’t be as merciful, but he figured he needed all the help he could get. So he let Hellen on her way as he suited up.



At the bank, Brick can be seen getting up from the wrecked tank and walking to his opponent. Slowly, limping, struggling to walk straight, he struggled, but he still had a duty to protect the people. The streets were a wreck, supers and local law enforcement laying down knocked out from a mixture of exhaustion and pain.

Brick would then see a large, red, hulking behemoth carrying large bags of what sounded like golds bars and coins. The large man chuckled, seeing the lone hero trying to stand up straight.



“Ha, Ha, Ha! Lookey, here! Looks like the guy lives up to his name! Too bad you got bricks for brains too, otherwise you would have staid down!”

Brick stood steady after a bit, grabbing a tank nearby by the cannon. The large man chuckled, knowing where this was going. So he dropped the bags of gold and cracked his knuckled. Brick then some effort, threw the tank at the robbers direction, thinking he would get pinned down. Unfortunately, the large man just swatted it away with a back hand, bouncing it back to Brick. He got pinned down against the ground, making a small craters. Brick tried to stay conscious, but he was on his last legs and proceeded to lay defeated.

The large man then walked down towards Brick slowly, chuckling some more. “Tank you!”

Shouting the pun, he smiled as he looked down at his last opponent. He thought everyone was down, but before he could turn to get his gold, he saw what seemed like a family of super heroes stop in front of him. He knew exactly who they were.

“Well well well, the first super hero family is here! Should have known they’d be desperate enough to send in Mr. Incredible with Elasti-Girl and their kids.” He taunted. “If even the newbies couldn’t tough me, what makes you think someone oldschool can!?”

Bob looked around and nodded, the kids going around to try and help the hurt supers, police and army men to get out of the war zone. “You seem new around here. We’ve been getting a ton of villains, so forgive me if we don’t know your name.”

He laughed again before he calmed down and smiled. “The name is Juggernaut! I’m unstoppable! Nothing can hurt me!” His smile grew wider. “And nothing can stop me!”

Mr. Incredible stepped forward cracked his neck. “Now I don’t believe that’s true! See, us big guys---” He was interrupted as a car was thrown at him, catching Mr. Incredible off guard. He got pinned against the wall of a building, making Juggernaut guffaw. “Guess you aren’t as Incredible after all!”

This got his family to charge at him, only for him to perform a thunder clap. This one move created a strong shockwave to knock out Dash, Violet and Hellen and blow them away, landing far from the battle field.

Juggernaut was then hit in the head by a moped, making him struggle to keep himself from falling only to land on his knees from the unexpected hit. “You lousy--! You seriously think you’re strong enough to go toe-to-toe against me!?” Turning to who threw the car, Juggernaut saw Mr. Incredible get into a boxing position.

“Keep running that mouth, I’ll show you why I gained the name Mr. Incredible!” Mr. Incredible tightened his fists as Juggernaut got up.

“I’m the Juggernaut! Nothing can stop me!” Juggernaut launched his fist towards Mr. Incredible, the fight just beginning, as their punches shook the city.

Especially if he has access to his Seventh Day power levels.

I agree with Rakai. Even the moped being felt by Juggernaut in the story itself is a stretch, there is absolutely nothing that Incredible can do to Juggernaut.

Pretty much like Juggy's early fights with Colossus. Mr. Incredible just isn't strong enough. He'll try but nothing will work.

Not much can really harm or even compete with Juggernaut. Even the Hulk at some points was badly beaten by him, but this was Seventh Day Juggernaut too. World Breaker Hulk might be the only one to compete against Juggernaut. Maybe Sentry too.

Good set-up, Gizmo. Too bad it seems it was a little late to qualify for the tournament. A few misspellings here and there, but overall a good story. 

Nice throwback dialogue to the '90's X-Men 'toon, too.  

Haven't seen the Incredibles movies yet, but I don't think that aside from Hercules, Disney's Animated Canon has yet produced a character with strength on par with most versions of Juggernaut. Add to that Cain's invulnerability and unstoppable momentum, I'm not liking Mr. Incredible's odds.
