“Rainbow Fist Punch!”

 

“Dagger Crystal Heart Attack!”

 

“Narwhal Blast!”

 

“OMG! WHAT A BARRAGE OF ATTACKS! LUZ IS USING HER BROOM TO AVOID MOST OF THE ATTACKS BUT STAR JUST KEEPS ATTACKING OVER AND OVER! THE BUTTERFLY PRINCESS HAS THE YOUNG WITCH ON THE RUN, AND UNLESS SOMETHING CHANGES THEN I FEAR-“

 

“Spicy toss!”

 

A surprise fireball blast from Luz forced Star on the defense for a change, circling her opponent on her broom, the Boiling Isles Witch rained down fire and ice blasts down at the Mewni Princess.

 

“Super Rainbow Dolphin Slap!” 

 

Blasting away all the incoming attacks, Star then shot herself forward with a rainbow blast from below herself, aiming to catch her wily witch foe clean out of the air. But Luz took a big gulp and disappeared completely from view.

 

“Hey! What the-“ a confused Star landed and looked around for any sign of Luz Noceda. “So not fair! Where’d you go?”

 

Barely dodging another fireball thrown her way, Star looked at where it came from and saw the once more visible Luz sticking out her tongue to blow a raspberry at her opponent.

 

“Thermonuclear Buttershy Blast!”

 

As Star slammed her wand down a great explosion of fire and butterflies erupted from the surrounding area. But by the time the smoke cleared the Mewni Princess realized Luz had once more disappeared, but she didn’t have long to process that before the ground erupted  beneath her and a series of giant vines emerged to tangle her up!

 

“WHAT A MOVE! LOOKS LIKE THE WITCH SET A TRAP AND THE WARRIOR PRINCESS WALKED RIGHT INTO IT FOLKS!”

 

“Hey let me go!” Star Butterfly struggled in vain against the vines as Luz appeared in front of her with a cocky grin.

 

“Not bad huh? Sorry to do this Star but I still need to win this match, so-“

 

“Jellybean Hallucination Mist!”

 

“Huh? Whaaaattttt iiiissss gooooiiiinnnggg oooonnnn?” Luz’s entire world went groggy and slow as she was enveloped in a hallucination mist, stunning her until it was too late!

 

“Raspberry Panzerfaust!”

 

KABOOM!

 

A giant explosion hit Luz square on, knocking her back towards the edge of the arena and just barely avoiding getting a ring out. Pushing herself to her feet weakly, Luz noticed pieces of her destroyed broom around her and the warrior princess Star approaching to finish her off.

 

“Sorry yourself Luz, but I’m ending this now! Syrup Tsunami Shockwave!”

 

As the tidal wave of maple syrup rushed towards the seemingly downed witch a strange thing happened. In a burst of purple light, Star’s tsunami parted down the middle and before everyone’s eyes Luz’s appearance changed rather drastically: she now wore a furry black cloak, with bones covering several outer parts of her clothes along with her eyes turning black with yellow pupils.

 

“Wait what is going on here? How in the world is she able to use her Titan powers again?” Eda the Owl Lady gasped from the side lines, looking more than a little worried.

 

“Yeah! That’s more like it! Annihilate that stupid princess Luz!” King shouted in excitement to his sister figure, a clear contrast to Eda.

 

“Warnicorn Stampede!”

 

“Macaroon Melee Swarm!”

 

“Spider With A Top Hat Blast!”

 

Star Butterfly summoned attack after attack against her newly empowered opponent, however the teen witch’s magical barriers easily blocked all of Star’s spells and with a sonic shout Luz easily dispelled all the summoned attackers.

 

“Star give up now. I don’t want to hurt you if I don’t have to,” Luz Noceda warned the princess.

 

“I got a better idea,” Star smiled and produced a yellow light that surrounded her and transformed her into her legendary Butterfly form; giving her six arms, horns, wings and an ethereal yellow gown dress.

 

“Yeah! You go Star! Kick that witch’s butt!” Marco Diaz cheered on his girlfriend.

 

“What did you think you were the only one with a super form?” Star Butterfly asked as she floated up towards her competitor.

 

“Not really. Like I said before we’re both pretty similar,” Luz Noceda smiled.

 

“I’ll take that as a compliment. But what do you say we finish this?” Star said as she summoned all her magic into one final attack.

 

“As you wish, bring it on,” Luz replied as she likewise gathered all of her own power.

 

The audience watched in awe as the two teenage girls summoned all of their destructive might until finally a clash of purple and yellow lights meet in the center of the arena, so brightly lit that almost everyone had to cover their eyes! And after what felt like an eternity it all suddenly stopped!

 

Everyone uncovered their eyes to look upon who had ultimately won the clash: the glowing yellow light revealed none other then Star Butterfly gently floating back down to ground, carrying a depowered and defeated Luz Noceda with her.

 

“WELL WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT! GUESS THAT SETTLES THAT FOLKS! THE WINNER OF THIS MATCHUP IS THE WARRIOR PRINCESS OF MEWNI, STAR BUTTERFLY!!!!!!!!”

 

“Well I guess you beat me. Congrats to you I guess,” Luz Noceda unsuccessfully tried to hide the pain and disappointment in her voice.

 

“Hey don’t feel bad! You did great out here today, you really almost had me for a moment there,” Star Butterfly back to her normal form tried to reassure her.

 

“Thanks for saying that Star. I’ll be fine I just feel like I let Eda down by losing here,” Luz explained as she fought internally to not cry.

 

“Luz if I were her I would be so proud of how strong and smart you were out here today. You truly are a one of a kind girl,” Star Butterfly did her best to comfort Luz.

 

“Luz! Luz! Are you alright? Are you hurt?” Eda Clawthorne quickly arrived and looked over her student, checking for injuries.

 

“Don’t die Luz! I’m too young for you to die! Again!” King leaped into Luz’s arms and hugged her tight.

 

“I’m fine guys really, don’t worry about me,” Luz sniffed away some tears and accepted the hugs from her surrogate family.

 

“You were so amazing out there Star, I’m so proud of you,” Marco Diaz hugged his girlfriend in clear relief. “Shall we go get that dinner now?”

 

“You betcha! I’m starving!” Star Butterfly giggled.

 

The two sides cleared themselves from the arena, but not before both magical girls meet each other’s eyes one more time and have the other a silent nod of mutual respect.

“ALRIGHT FOLKS IF YOU THOUGHT LAST ROUND WAS A GOOD ONE WAIT UNTIL YOU GET A LOAD IF THIS: FOR THIS MATCH WE WILL BE HAVING A MATCHUP BETWEEN TWO JEDI KNIGHTS!”

 

(The crowd let out a booming cheer as several audience members wore Star Wars merch and signs to hype up the match)

 

“THAT’S RIGHT! BOTH STARTED AS PADAWANS GROWING UP IN THE CLONE WARS, BARLEY SURVIVED THE INFAMOUS ORDER 66, SPENT YEARS BEING HUNTED BY THE OPPRESSIVE GALACTIC EMPIRE, ONLY TO JOIN A REBEL CELL AND HELP DESTROY THE EMPIRE AND BRING PEACE TO THE WHOLE GALAXY! BUT WHICH ONE WILL PROVE TO BE THE BETTER JEDI THIS DAY? LET’S WELCOME TO THE ARENA CAL KESTIS AND AHSOKA TANO!!!!”

 

(As the crowd let out another roaring applause, the two Jedi in question stepped into the ring, sizing each other up)

 

“Ahsoka Tano. It’s an honor to finally meet you, I’m kinda a fan,” Cal Kestis greeted his opponent humbly.

 

“So you’re Cal Kestis huh? It’s honestly kind of weird that we never crossed paths before don’t you think?” Ahsoka Tano asked.

 

“Well yeah, it is pretty weird now that you mentioned it. I mean I guess I was too busy helping the Hidden Path, and you were busy leading the main Rebel Resistance branch,” Cal offered halfheartedly.

 

“Yeah but still I can’t believe that our groups never got the chance to interact once during the entire Galactic Civil War. I mean you would think the Hidden Path and the Rebellion would be natural allies against the Empire,” Ahsoka brought up.

 

“Uh, yeah, sorry about that. I really wish we could have helped you guys out more during the War. I guess we were just more focused on trying to make sure the Jedi had a new home to fall back on should the Rebellion fail,” Cal surmised.

 

“ALRIGHT EVERYONE PLACE YOUR BETS, GRAB SOME POPCORN, AND FGET TO YOUR SEATS, CAUSE IT IS SHOWTIME!”

 

“Well I guess it’s time to get to it. Let’s see if you live up to the hype I heard about you Cal,” Ahsoka Tano smirked as she pulled out her lightsabers.

 

“I’ll do my best not to disappoint ma’am,” Cal smiled and in turn drew his own lightsabers.

 

*DING!*
