Boratz Posted August 11 Posted August 11 Chapter 31: The Hunter and The Prey She smashed the Beskar hammer against the jaw of the Boglodite criminal. Boris stumbled to the side but he quickly regains his composure. With a large and sinister grin forming across his cheeks, he looked over the Mandalorian warrior. He spit out a little blood before lunging at the Armorer. With his hands gripped tightly around her arms, he pinned her against a wall. That same despicable grin was plastered across the Boglodite's face while sniffing the armored warrior. His sharp white teeth reflected off the Armorer's visor as he looked over the female Mandalorian. In a last-ditch effort, the Mandalorian was able to activate the flame thrower on her wrist gauntlet. The Boglodite staggered away from the flames while releasing his grip from the female warrior. He was able to shoot another spike at the direction of the Mandalorian. The spike pierced through a portion of flesh on the Armorer's arm. The Armorer let a pain filled grunt while trying to regain her strength. After a fierce battle with the Mandalorian warrior, the Boglodite heard the sounds of others approaching. He slammed the Armorer against the cold metal floor, Boris the Animal raced to get out of the cargo hold. He narrowly avoided being shot by the rain of blaster fire that came for him. After shooting off several lethal spikes and knocking his way past several Mandalorian scouts, the intergalactic criminal leaped out of the crashed Imperial ship. He ran as fast as he could to his ship and grinned once it roared to life. Lights from the control panel reflected off the dark sunglasses that covered his eyes. His starship lifted off the planet's surface as several Mandalorians ran out of the crashed Imperial shuttle. Before they could ignite their jetpacks to pursue the Boglodite, Boris the Animal launched several devastating blasts from his ship's cannons. Flames reached high up into the sky while Boris left the planet behind. Crawling through the wreckage of the Imperial ship, the Armorer realized that while she survived the Boglodite's rampage, she was unsuccessful in retrieving the entire stockpile of Beskar. Her muscles burned with each movement while her wounds throbbed with intense pain. It was not long until other armored Mandalorians came to her aid. The female warrior was lifted off the floor and taken out of the crashed Imperial shuttle. After being taken aboard a Mandalorian shuttle, the Armorer heard the others as they sent a transmission to Bo-Katan. Feeling disgraced with not being able to defeat the Boglodite, the Armorer dropped her head in shame. With her body still throbbing in pain, she remained silent while the ship entered hyperspace and headed toward Mandalore. It was not until the ship reached its destination. After breaking through the atmosphere and landing down upon the surface of Mandalore, Bo-Katan watched over the ship's landing. The ship doors opened and the scouts that were inside started to carrying out the badly wounded Armorer. The leader of Mandalore took a deep breath before stepping forward. As her eyes looked over the Armorer, Bo-Katan saw as she struggled to lift her head to meet Bo-Katan's gaze. "Get her to a bacta tank!" Bo-Katan ordered. The Mandalorian scouts nodded before turning their direction toward the medical bay. "Wait!" The Armorer said with a pain filled voice. "We can talk later." Bo-Katan said reassuringly. "I failed... I failed you... I failed Mandalore." The Armorer replied. "No... That is not true." Bo-Katan said while nodding at the scouts. The Mandalorian scouts carried the Armorer to the medical bay as Bo-Katan let out a steady breath. Her eyes quickly shifted and her gaze turned to some of her fellow warriors that were approaching her. "She is right." Axe Woves sighed. "Half that load of Beskar has been lost." "She fought valiantly. She's fought valiantly for a long time. I do not consider this a failure. It is simply an unfortunate setback." Bo-Katan said with a distressed look. "What do you propose, my lady?" Axe Woves asked with a curious look. "If the galaxy learns that we lost that much Beskar then they will see us as nothing more than a weakness that can be purged." "May I interject?" A voice asked from behind. Bo-Katan and Axe glanced over at one of their fellow Mandalorians. This Mandalorian stepped closer to them while holding his helmet down by his side. "I will track down this enemy and see if I can take back what is rightfully ours. I will also do it quietly and discreetly." The Mandalorian said while standing before them. "Fenn Rau?" Bo-Katan said with a smile. "It has been a while." "It has... I will not sit back and see Mandalore fall to mediocrity once again. I will see to it that I bring justice for Mandalore. I will stop this enemy and get back the Beskar." Fenn Rau responded with a confident smile. "Very well then, do what you must." Bo-Katan said while nodding at the Mandalorian warrior. Meanwhile, “That was a close one!” Boris thought to himself while let out a chuckle. “At least I got to take out a Mandalorian or two.” The Boglodite sent a transmission to Grand Admiral Thrawn before standing up from his seat. The Animal sauntered back to the other end of the ship. Looking over the empty storage section, the Boglodite was furious that he was unable to gather the rest of the Beskar. He hoped Thrawn and the others would be pleased at what he was able to obtain before being confronted by those Mandalorians. As his ship traveled through hyperspace, the Boglodite sat down on his bed. He laid his head down against the pillow and looked at the ceiling above him. The Animal let out a sigh while reflecting on his battle with the female Mandalorian warrior. She was smaller than him, but she made up for it in speed. She was weaker than him, but she matched it with skills. Realizing that he could not underestimate these warriors again, the Animal closed his eyes and vowed that he would kill the next Mandalorian that he saw without hesitation. With his ship heading toward the planet that he dropped off the other half of the Beskar stockpile, the Boglodite drifted off to sleep. He was going to wait until he received word from the Chiss Imperial about where he would need to take the precious metal too. Shortly after drifting off to sleep, a chirping sound filled the ears of the Boglodite criminal. Boris’ dark eyes slowly opened as he sat up. His ship was approaching the planet where he stored the other half of the Beskar metal. Boris sauntered over toward the control panel on his ship and prepared for a landing. The Boglodite grinned while his ship landed on a platform and saw a flashing light that indicated an incoming transmission. After pressing a button on the control panel, the Animal saw a hologram of Grand Admiral Thrawn appear before him. “It is quite unfortunate that you were unable to secure the full inventory of the Beskar metal. Despite this setback, I am sending you the coordinates to where the other half of the metal needs to be taken to.” Thrawn said with an emotional voice. After looking over the map, the Boglodite sighed. “That appears to be Earth.” He muttered while shaking his head in disappointment. “That is correct.” Thrawn replied without changing his tone. “I am wanted in that system by several different agencies!” Boris grumbled. “If you cannot see this mission through then I can find someone who can.” Thrawn responded with a cold stare. “No need, Grand Admiral. I will get it done.” Boris replied while wiping his hand against his face. Once the hologram of the Grand Admiral faded, the Boglodite started cursing under his breath. With frustration, he pressed in the coordinates for Earth into his control panel. The Animal let out a sigh while leaning back in his seat once again. He gritted his teeth and thought about his previous experiences on that blue and green planet in the Milky Way. There was a small part of him that hoped he would run into his enemies with the Men in Black. The Boglodite longed for the days that he could stand over the lifeless body of Agent K. Despite his desire to seek revenge against the veteran agent, Boris did not want to waste his time with him. Knowing that there would be dire consequences from Thrawn and his allies, Boris was going to make sure that he would see this mission through to the end. The Animal was not going to fail in delivering this load of Beskar metal to one of Thrawn’s assets on Earth. The trip was long and grueling, but soon the Animal's ship approached the green and blue planet. After looking over the schematics and coordinates once again, Boris the Animal started pressing some buttons on the control panel of his ship. He was going to make sure that his ship would not been picked up on any of Earth satellites or radar devices. His ship soon broke through the upper atmosphere of Earth and descended down upon a dessert. Once he opened the doors of the ship, the Boglodite stepped foot out in the warm sand. He looked up at the sky while the rays of the warm sun pressed down against his skin. The moment was cut short by the sound of an approaching group. Boris the Animal quickly turned his attention to the sound and raised his hand to shoot off one of his deadly spikes. "Woah, woah, woah! Take it easy!" Syndrome exclaimed with a large grin. "Who are you?" Boris growled. "Just the guy that you are delivering this metal to." Syndrome replied while lowering his hands. "And these are just some of my new friends." Boris slowly lowered his hand while looking over Durge and Juggernaut. "Thrawn never told me the purpose for this Beskar!" Boris hissed while gritting his teeth. "And you do not really need to know the purpose, big boy!" Syndrome said with a large smile. "But since we are allies of sorts, I need it for a tiny, itty, bitty science project." "We have company." Durge said while looking over a device on his wrist gauntlet. "Impossible! I made sure that no one on Earth could track me!" Boris snapped. "Does not appear to be from Earth." Durge replied as he lowered his arm. "Oh, now that does not look good for the big bad, Boris the Animal!" Syndrome chuckled. "It is just Boris!" Boris screamed. "I will take care of whoever or whatever it is. Just make sure that you have what was promised to me ready when I return!" Boris watched a ship land in the distance. From the markings on the ship, he recognized it as a Mandalorian ship. The Boglodite grumbled under his breath while taking a few weapons from his ship, he gazed out in the distance. He watched as the Mandalorian ship landed not too far from them. Knowing that he could not afford to fail again, the Animal started running toward the direction of the Mandalorian ship. Boris was going to kill this Mandalorian by any means necessary. Soon the tracker that he was using to find the Boglodite reached its destination. Fenn Rau leaned forward as his ship came out of hyperspace. His eyes widen once he saw the blue and green planet that was in a galaxy far, far away from his own. "This is where you've come to hide." He muttered under his breath while pressing the controls on his ship. The Mandalorian ship entered into the atmosphere of this new and mysterious planet. While following the tracker, he flew upon a dessert. His eyes were adjusting the bright rays of the sun that was shining overhead. The chirping on his tracker rang out as he reached his target. Scanning the area, he saw a pair of ships sitting in the sands. The Mandalorian took a deep breath as he looked out over the world. His ship's radar only picked up a couple of lifeforms. Before he landed his ship, the Mandalorian told his droid to send out a message. "Lady Kryze, it appears that the Boglodite is meeting with other lifeforms on this strange planet. I have a feeling there is more to this than simply the Beskar. I will engage the Boglodite and see what I can find out." As the ship landed and Fenn Rau immediately gathered his weapons. Knowing that he was about to battle a formidable opponent, the seasoned warrior put his helmet over his face. He opened the doors to his ship and lunged out into the dessert to face off against the Animal. ******************************************** Boris the Animal is armed with two Weasels and a blaster rifle Fenn Rau is armed with two blasters pistols and his standard Mandalorian gear.

ThePhenomenalOne Posted August 11 Posted August 11 Wicked awesome set up! Loved reading it and am going to have to go back through and read the others. This is a good match up! I could see this being a knock down, drag em out fight. Fenn is going to have to stay on his toes if he wants to win. The animal is ruthless and aggressive. I’m giving it to just Boris.
SSJRuss Posted August 11 Posted August 11 I think Boris gets the win here. I don't think Fenn is actually that impressive compared to some other Mandalorian. Also, love the use of Thrawn here. And I like the visual of Durge standing beside Juggernaut. Cool image. 1
