The night was thick with fog, and the air felt heavy as Prue, Piper, and Phoebe Halliwell, the Charmed Ones, were blinded by a bright light and suddenly found themselves standing on a deserted street.

Phoebe rubbed her eyes. “What was that?”

The eldest sister, Prue took in their surroundings. “I don’t know. But we are clearly not in the same place we were before.”

“Leo!” Piper called out.

Phoebe shook her head. “Ah man, we were teleported?”

“Leo!” Piper called out again, spinning around in confusion. “Leo, where are you?” Her frustration was growing by the second as she got no response from her husband, the white lighter for the Charmed Ones, Leo Wyatt.

“Piper, relax. Maybe he can't hear you from...wherever we are,” Prue suggested, trying to keep her own nerves in check. “Do you recognize anything around here? Because I sure don’t.”

“No,” Piper replied, crossing her arms and scanning the unfamiliar surroundings. “I can say one thing for sure. This isn’t San Francisco.”

Phoebe, meanwhile, was looking around when she spotted a woman jogging toward them. The jogger was dressed in brightly colored spandex, with a neon headband and leg warmers to match. “Hey, look,” Phoebe said, nudging her sisters. “Maybe she can tell us where we are.”

Prue stepped forward and raised her hand to get the jogger’s attention. “Excuse me!”

“Hi,” the jogger greeted them with a polite smile. “Are you ladies lost?”

“Uh, yeah,” Prue admitted, feeling a bit awkward. “Can you tell us where we are?”

“Hawkins City Park,” the jogger replied, then frowned when the sisters exchanged confused looks. “You know the only city park in Hawkins… Hawkins, Indiana? Are you okay? Do you need to see a doctor or something? You three look a little pekid.”

Phoebe waved off the concern with a quick laugh. “No, no, we’re fine. Just...new in town, I guess.”

“Okay...” the jogger said slowly. She eyed them for a moment before continuing her run. “That would explain the strange clothes.”

The sisters looked down at their normal attire in confusion. As the jogger disappeared into the distance, the sisters looked around and noticed an odd thing about their surroundings. People were walking down the street in clothes straight out of an 80s movie including high-waisted jeans, teased hair, and brightly colored windbreakers.

“This place...it’s like it’s stuck in time,” Phoebe remarked, her eyes wide with wonder. “Either that or…”

Piper groaned. “Great. Just great. We’ve been sent through time again.”

Their conversation was suddenly interrupted by the sounds of snarling and shouting in the distance. The sisters turned just in time to see two teenage boys running for their lives, pursued by a pack of horrifying creatures, the demodogs.

“Oh, my God!” Phoebe gasped.

“Not on my watch,” Prue declared.

Piper instinctively raised her hands and froze the demodogs in mid-leap. Prue quickly followed up by using her telekinesis to fling the frozen creatures into the trees. The impact shattered a few of them into dust. One of the demodogs, broken from the freeze, snarled and darted toward Piper.

“Not today,” she muttered.

Piper extended her hand and blew up the charging demodog with a flick of her wrist. In the next moment, another demodog lunged at her from the side. Piper barely had time to react before the creature was flung away, smashed into a nearby wall.

Piper, still catching her breath, glanced at Prue. “Thanks.”

Prue shook her head with a puzzled expression. “It wasn’t me.”

The sisters turned to see a young teenage girl standing nearby, her hand outstretched. She had short brown hair and a multicolored shirt. It was Eleven. The two teenage boys ran up to her.

“Thanks, El!”, the boy with curly hair and a trucker hat, Dustin, said as pulled her into a hug. Lucas, the other boy, joined in the hug with a big smile on his face.

Phoebe took a step closer and examined the remains of the demodogs. “I’ve never seen demons like these before. I wish we had the Book of Shadows.”

Eleven, with her intense gaze fixed on the sisters, asked bluntly, “Who are you?”

“They saved us before you showed up,” Lucas informed, still catching his breath.

Dustin, his curiosity piqued, looked the sisters up and down. “Are you also,  like, numbered experiments from Hawkins Lab or something?”

Prue crossed her arms, looking Dustin straight in the eye. “No. We’re not experiments. We’re witches.”

Dustin, Lucas, and Eleven stood stunned for a moment.. Dustin, however, couldn’t hide the excitement that quickly spread across his face.

“No way! Real witches? Like with powers and everything?”

“Like with powers and everything,” Phoebe confirmed with a smile.

Lucas looked between them all, trying to process this new information. “This...this is crazy. You helped us so I’m assuming you’re good witches.”

Piper tilted her head. “Good assumption.”

So what are you doing here? How did you end up in Hawkins?”

Prue exchanged a glance with her sisters. “We’re not sure, but it looks like we have a lot to figure out. And something tells me it is going to involve those things we just faced.” She then turned to Eleven. “And maybe you as well.”

Later on, The Charmed Ones, Dustin, Eleven, and Lucas made their way to the Wheeler residence to compare notes with Mike and Nancy. They made their way down to the basement where the Wheeler siblings were already waiting. They looked up at the basement door as it opened with relief on their faces. Lucas had told them via walkie talkie about their brush up against the demodogs and the three new strangers that helped intervene.

As they entered in the basement they were in mid discussion

Piper was in disbelief.  “So it is really 1986? How…how is that possible?”

“I know, right?” Dustin said, nodding enthusiastically. “I mean, it’s kind of crazy for us too, having people from the future here. So...what’s it like? Are there flying cars? Hoverboards? Did we win the Cold War?”

Phoebe laughed. “We can’t tell you that. Haven’t you seen Back to the Future? That movie has already come out, right? The first one.”

Dustin’s eyes lit up. “The first one? There are going to be sequels? That movie was awesome.”

Lucas calmed down his friend. “Thinking about it, it is probably better we don’t know the future.”

Prue interrupted, her tone serious. “Before we start any of that, I want to know what those things were that were attacking you. What have we gotten ourselves into?”

Lucas glanced at the others before stepping forward with an explanation. “Okay, so here’s the deal. Those creatures are called demodogs. They’re from this alternate dimension we call the Upside Down. It's like a dark mirror of our world, full of monsters. It all started with this place called Hawkins Lab. They were doing experiments on people, including El here.” Eleven shifted uncomfortably as Lucas continued. “They accidentally opened a portal to the Upside Down. That’s where the monsters started coming from. First, there was the demogorgon, and then this huge, shadowy thing that tried to take over Hawkins called the Mind Flayer. Then there was Vecna, the dark wizard. We’ve been fighting these things for years.”

“Dark wizard?” Piper asked, her eyes narrowing.

“His name is actually Henry Creel. He was the original one with powers before El,” added Nancy.

The Charmed Ones exchanged uneasy glances.

“Are you understanding any of this?” Phoebe wondered aloud.

“It’s a lot to take in, I know. But you saved our friends, and for that, I’m really grateful. My name is Nancy, by the way, and we could use all the help we can get.”

Nancy reached out and shook Phoebe’s hand. As their hands met, Phoebe suddenly flinched, her eyes bulged as a vision overtook her. Images flashed before her eyes: Vecna using his powers to ensnare Nancy, Robin, Steve, and Dustin, and then twisting and breaking their limbs. Phoebe gasped in horror.

“Phoebe?” Piper asked with concern. “What did you see?”

Phoebe’s voice was shaky.. “He’s...he’s tall, with burned, twisted skin. His face is disfigured, and he has these long, clawed fingers. I saw him attack four people.I don’t want to frighten anyone,  but two of them are in this room. He was snapping your bones.”

Nancy’s eyes widened in shock. “You saw Henry! How did you—?”

“I’m a witch,”  Phoebe said, still a bit shaken. “I get premonitions sometimes. I see things that are going to happen.”

“So we are doomed,” Dustin guessed.

“No,” Piper corrected. “The visions can be changed.”

Nancy quickly composed herself. “If you saw that, then we need to prepare even more. Follow me and I’ll show you what we’ve been working on.”

Piper and Phoebe followed Nancy to a table cluttered with maps, books, and various tools. Meanwhile, Eleven and Mike moved to a quieter corner, reconnecting after the recent chaos. Prue stayed behind with Lucas and Dustin, who she noticed were looking at her in a peculiar way.

Lucas nudged Dustin forward. “We’ve got a favor to ask.”

Prue raised an eyebrow. “What kind of favor?”

Dustin blurted out, “We saw your powers back there. They’re a lot like Eleven’s. We were wondering if you could help train her for the next showdown with Vecna. Like, you know, Mr. Miyagi and the Karate Kid.”

Prue blinked, taken aback. “Did you just compare me to Mr. Miyagi?”

Lucas stepped forward. “We just think you could help her with her reaction times. You seem like you have a good hold on your powers.”

Prue crossed her arms, clearly unsure. “I’m not really comfortable using my powers on a teenager. She could get hurt.”

Lucas quickly chimed in. “She is pretty powerful herself! She once flipped a van with her mind and took down a military helicopter.”

Prue’s eyebrows shot up. “She did that?”

Dustin nodded. “Yep. She can also go into people’s minds, look through their memories, and talk to them. Can you do that?”

Prue shook her head. “No, my powers are more about telekinesis based not telepathy based.”

“Is that all you can do?” inquired Lucas.

Prue was a little insulted. “There are other things like scrying, summoning, spell casting, potions...” She trailed off. With a smirk, Prue suddenly disappeared from where she was standing, only to reappear behind Lucas and Dustin, and tapped them on the shoulders. “And astral projection.”

Both boys jumped, spinning around in shock.

“Whoa!” Dustin exclaimed.  “That was so cool!”

Lucas grinned. “See, it's these kinds of things that El needs to be exposed to. She was caught off guard when she fought Vecna the first time. The more different techniques she can train against the better.”

Prue considered their request. Her first thought was to sideline all these teens completely for their own safety and to fight these monsters with just her sisters once they received all the information they needed. However, having a knowledgeable guide like Eleven would help them out tremendously assuming Eleven could hold her own. Prue could help her with that and once more Eleven could help Prue in an indirect way. Prue had been looking for more ways to train for the inevitable faceoff with the Source, and Eleven presented some new abilities to account and plan for.

Prue nodded. “Okay, I’ll help.”

Prue thought about it some more. She was concerned she could really hurt Eleven, and thinking about the stories of Eleven flipping vans and crashing helicopters, it was very possible Eleven could hurt her. Before they would do this Prue would insist on finding a whitelighter in this time period that could help heal any potential injury.

I think both are similar in strength with their telekinesis, but Prue has a lot more abilities at her disposal to dispatch Eleven on top of being a bit more durable.

Badass set up my man! Felt like you captured the characters rather well. So this is more like a sparring/training session, correct? I feel like Prue has this in either situation as she is a more seasoned fighter. She gets my vote and this would be wonderful to see. Eleven would definitely benefit with Prue’s training.

Very excellent write-up Johnny, you really seemed to capture all the characteristics of both casts.

Never saw Charmed so I’m really pleased that you posted videos. From what I have seen Prue does seem to have more abilities on top of being more experienced. That said I am still rooting on El to win because ultimately her telekinesis is much stronger then Prue’s and I think that’ll be the deciding factor in this spar.

Another good set-up, Johnny. I'm guessing you wrote this in part to give tribute to Shannen Doughrety.

As for the match, I've caught scenes of Charmed here and there, but I've never watched Stranger Things. Judging from the set-up and the vid, I'm gonna assume that this Eleven girl doesn't talk much, but that also she's pretty powerful. I'm willing to bet, though, that with Piper's experience and array of powers, she may have the edge.
