Previously: Ronan Dex, a runner from the Wraith, came across a raid by the Snake Men. To save the life a victim, he attacked Tung Lashor.

 

He fought but Ronan couldn’t stay on his feet. This snake man had done something to him to deplete his energy.

Tung Lashor stalked his victim. Coming close.

“What are you doing Tung Lashor?”

The snake man whirled. Some of his fellows had returned to check on his delay.

“I found a straggler.” he explained. “An addition for the feast.”

“For your feast.” Sssqueeze snarked. He glared at the fallen Setadan.

Were there any others?”

“There were. But this one interrupted me taking him. I figured he would be much more filling.”

“King Hiss will not wait for us.” another new snake man called out. It was General Rattlor. Strange as it was for him to backtrack for soldiers, these were some of his finest so it made since that he would be interested in their whereabouts.

“Tung Lashor fond more for the feast.”

“General Rattlor said that King Hiss will not wait for us but he will notice our absence.” Kobra Khan said this. “Remember, after the feast we will begin the ritual to awaken the snake god- Serpos.”

This conversation was getting jucier and jucier. The paralyzed Ronan now had names, plans. Someone needed to hear this so that they could do something about it.

“What is this?” a voice called out.

He was practically immobilized but Ronan was still conscious. Despite his already dire predicament, his heart completely sank. The Wraith had caught up to him.

“You are not like these others.” one of the snake men observed.

“You have our runner.”

“He has a place in our feast.”

“Funny you should say that. It seems after we take our runner we should feast on you.”
