Megastory 3.26

Previously: Among Baron Zemo’s expanded Master of Evil’s operations the master ninja Zantestu volunteered to kill the Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue team.

It wasn’t that he couldn’t do it but time worked against him. The ninja Zantestu was targeting the Lightspeed Rescue Power Rangers. He killed Captain Mitchell, the teams military commanding officer. This was the target Baron Zemo wanted dead. Zantetsu himself wanted to slay all of the rangers. Sadly, they were spread out all over the country and it would take too long for him to get to each of them.

Zemo called him back, satisfied with Mitchell’s death.

While the military looked for a replacement for Captain Mitchell the Lightspeed Rescue Power Rangers went through the mourning of their commander. A government sponsored team, they were they were still Power Rangers and other Power Ranger teams reached out to support them.

“Something bigger is amiss.” Zordon was saying. “The RPM team has gone to follow up on a threat related to the break in. We haven’t heard back from them yet.”

Ethan of the Dino Thunder team was on the virtual line. He was a game developer by day but his Power Ranger contribution consisted of tech support and security. “There’s been a lot of reports on the heroes net about random attacks. Some people suspect these are targeted hits.”

“That’s interesting.” Carter – the Red Lightspeed Rescue Ranger- commented. “I bet if we captured this assassin that killed Captain Mitchell he can give us some answers.”

“That’s a good plan.” Zordon said. “Given your loss, is your team up for it?”

Carter was a mellow man, but when he answered Zordon’s question, there was a fire in his eyes. “Definitely.”

Surely, the Light Speed Rescue Power Rangers would be out to avenge their commander. Simple monitoring of military channels would indicate their next move. Soon authorizations for a Power Ranger offensive came up. This was time to set out the bait.

The powers who controlled the Lightspeed Rescue Power Ranger team would be looking for Masters of Evil activity.

Heading out to battle in a highly emotional state, no plan, was unwise. Someone should have warned them about such rash action. Apparently, everyone around them was in no state to make plans.

The Power Rangers were formidable. There were slight differences in the various teams and Lightspeed Rescue, while less combat focused, was still capable. Teamwork was their forte. The best strategy was to separate them.

It was suspected the Baron Zemo himself was present. If they could capture him, The Masters of Evil could be dismantled altogether.

The team seemed to burst in on something. Men scrambled.

Joel was the first to give chase. Chad went after some others. Dana and Kelsey took off too.

Carter’s instincts started to kick in. He was about to call everyone back. But then the real ambush came out.

Cinderblock stood right in front of him. Whatever awaited the others. This was his problem and his problem alone.

Fight Parameters:

Carter must defeat Cinderblock alone in order to regather his team.

I'm giving it to the Red Ranger.

Also, I'm giving the match a 5.0.

Pretty good chapter to your Megastory, leroy, if kinda short.

As for the match, Cinderblock is pretty hard to gauge in battle. In one fight, he's giving the entire Teen Titans team problems. In another fight, though, Robin is throwing Cinderblock around by himself. I guess I'll "split the difference" and say that Carter can probably take Cinderblock down mainly due to the latter's dimwittedness.

A nice continuation. I feel like I watched all or most of Teen Titans and I don't remember Cinderblock. Either way he appears to be a good choice for a Power Ranger level threat.
