Match 20808 Blood Syndicate vs. Phantom (Ghostbusters)

Previously: Baron Zemo has put together a Masters of Evil. After several battles he has begun expanding the group so that they would be able to tackle stronger hero teams.

 

 

“We’re missing an opportunity. You gotta have heard about the crap going on in Dakota City. Meta’s popping up everywhere. There’s this gang called the Blood Sydicate. Literally took over a little a slice of the city called Paris Island. They’d be an asset to our work.”

That was all the presentation Baron Zemo needed to hear. He approved the operation.

Knowing that race would be a factor, Vicious sent Dr. Facilier to represent them. A magic man, Facilier most impressed Vicious with his ‘friends on the other side’. A smooth talker, he was sure that Facilier could speak The Paris Island metas’ language.

The Shadowman waltzed into Paris Island like and urban developer scoping out locations for his hotels and casinos.

It didn’t take long to get the attention of the metas. Vicious’ briefing informed him on who was who.

“Brothas!” Facilier opened super friendly.

“What you doing here homie?” This one was Fade. Some kind of time-distorted man.

With a salesman’s smile, Facilier stated his business. “I’m here for an offer. An offer for you.”

The invincible one- Wise Son said. “What the f*** you talking about? You best turn around before you catch something worse than Covid.”

“Aw don’t be like that my brotha.”

“Ain’t nobody your brotha!” Tech-9 spat. He was a gun specialist, able to generate firearm and unlimited ammunition from thin air.

“You don’t even want to hear me out?”

Done with words, two of the super powered gang members marched on him.

A street man himself, Facilier knew what time it was. He was about to be roughed up and thrown out. An experience that he stopped enduring once he got some friends on the other side.

Having already accepted a soul offering, the dark ones heard his beacon for help.

The broad day darkened a little. Everyone still cast a shadow but the intimidating eclipse was needed to foster enough fear so that the sent entity could cross over.

It started as a shadow. Then it became a black blob. After that, a more recognizable shape formed. A manta ray. Flying through the air the way a real one would through water.

 

 

Fight Parameters:

 

The Blood Syndicate must survive and turn the tide and find a way to vanquish the Phantom (from Ghostbusters).

 

Note: the Phantom is a ghost so it’s non-corporal (except for the convenient moments when it wants to interact with objects).

I was just looking at Blood Syndicate recently when I was looking at comic characters from the database that hadn't been used much or at all. I think they can take this but I'm not sure.

Glad to see somebody at least noticing them.

They're not going anywhere in the story for a bit. Maybe individual characters will get some fights.

This one is kind of a strange matchup but they've faced demons before. But the Phantom is a different kind of threat than Demon Fox.

Gah, sorry I missed out on this one, leroy. This looked like an interesting match-up, but the Blood Syndicate looked like it had the tools to take Phantom down, and mainly with Kwai's and Wise Son's abilities. 

It appears that Facilier's gonna need to have another trick up his sleeve.
