Match 20836 Red Claw vs. Baron Zemo

The work was going well. The Masters of Evil was growing rapidly and still the Avengers had not responded. Either they were being too hopeful in the lesser heroes to thwart the project or they were being too cautious so as not to escalate things needlessly.

Baron Zemo was itching to take down The Avengers. But he still didn’t have enough power to defeat them.

As things were progressing, a new situation surfaced. A spy had been caught. Some woman in a service position was transferring information to an outside source. His men took the woman, got a confession out of her and then started researching her benefactor.

The Red Claw was both a person and an organization. She was an Eastern European ecoterrorist. Some months ago she had made a play in Gotham City but was undone by The Batman. Given her objectives, Zemo couldn’t understand what she wanted with him.

A confrontation was the most efficient way of dealing with this. The Red Claw’s resources were adequate for what they were doing but they were not match for The Masters of Evil. Her base of operations never left Europe. Ukraine was so convenient even before the public turmoil.

Overwhelming force was decided as the strategy for going in. Unless Red Claw had very powerful metahumans that no one knew about, Gauron and his ward Xai Yu Fan and Xai Yu Lan would mop the floor with all of her operatives. Their Armed Slave mechas could take out whole armies.

It was so easy that Baron Zemo was a little board.

Until he saw the woman herself.

The Red Claw stood defiantly among dead men. It was a clear challenge.

Even the mech pilots knew it and let her alone.

 

He was surprised to discover that Red Claw, the person, was a woman.

“What was the reason for your spying?” asked Zemo.

Red Claw answered. “You have weapons that I want.”

“You should have joined me.”

“Join you? Never! I think that I will kill you and take over your organization.”

I actually think Red Claw has this, irregardless of whether it is Helmut or Heinrich (which isn't specified). She was (animated) Batman's hand-to-hand equal.

Hm. Wasn't expecting that. Though I was the only one who saw Red Claw's one episode and decided she was bigtime contender.

And it's Helmut Zemo since his identity is in question.

She actually had two episodes. Well technically three as one was a two parter. 

I'm leaning Zemo though. BTAS Batman got his ass kicked a lot, so her keeping up with him in hand to hand I'm not too impressed with.

You have been talking about being happy that other people have been using characters you wanted to use, now the shoe is one the other foot. Have been trying to think of a good match for Red Claw and this is a good one although I think she is slightly outmatched.

Good match-up and tale for your Megastory, leroy, but it's still pretty short.

Heh, since when?

They never really fought directly. The closest they ever got to that was when Red Claw grabbed Bats when both were inside his BatJet and she pulled off his mask. Batman ejected Red Claw from the jet soon afterward, and that was the last we saw of her. 

As for the match, I'm thinking Red Claw is overmatched here, especially if Helmet's using the Moonstones.
