Match 20837 Red X vs. Machine Man

Previously: Part of a team that had infiltrated the Power Rangers base, Red X became the only survivor of their employer’s betrayal. He turn to his victims the Power Rangers for help but they walked into a trap set up by the villain Screenslaver.

 

 

After Red X abandon the Power Rangers he tried to identify just who his enemy was. Whoever it was utilized a lot of cybernetics; robots, computers, and technology.

Then he started to get it. The big bad wasn’t a guy: it was a sentient computer. He was still in the dark about what computer it was but at least he knew where not to look now.

At that point the enemy caught up to him. As the last surviving member of the group that infiltrated the Power Rangers base Red X was a huge target. It seemed to send more and more power powerful opponents after him and he was concerned that he was eventually going to fall. Time to get the Power Rangers back into the fray.

It would be embarrassing to be seen truly working with them so he sent them a cryptic message to check out a site that he was too scared to go to alone.

He was excited when the RPM team arrived. Curse words came out as they split up and each of them fell into a trance when they looked at a video screen.

He had to save them. He needed them.

They had been shown on TV several times. Even a few specials had been done about them. Not to mention, a dark network had provided a bit of intelligence on the Power Rangers just so that guys outside the law could make some sort of preparations to fight them.

The red one was pretty much always the leader. Usually the strongest one. So that was first one Red X helped.

Scott had been upstairs. There was a screen on the wall and that is what he stood in front of. With the Helmet on Red X couldn’t see his face but looking at his posture the Red RPM Ranger was completely entranced.

Red X ran up to him, making sure not to look at the screen himself, and pulled Scott around.

“Wake up man!”

Scott jerked. “What’s going on?”

“We gotta get the rest of your team!”

Scott looked around. Below on the main floor he saw the Black RPM ranger- Dillion. He was entranced by a screen on the side of the door. Not wasting time with stairs, Scott jumped down and pulled his teammate away from the screen.

Dillion snapped out of it.

At this point, opposition popped up.

Machine Man walked into the room and immediately extended his right arm to snag Red X.

Caught unexpected by the style of attack, Red X couldn’t evade the extended arm in time. He was lifted off the ground and thrown against the wall.

Scott looked on with alarm but Dillion, just waking up from his trance, didn’t know what was going on.

“Hold on!” Red X boasted. “I got this!”

 

Fight Parameters:

 

Red X battles Machine Man to the death (or destruction).

If Red X can beat a team consisting of Cyborg on his own, he can beat Machine Man.

Another pretty good chapter to your Megastory, leroy, but still pretty short. Interesting to see Red X still (kinda) working with the Rangers. 

As for the match, given what Red X usually deals with, I think he can beat Machine Man, but the fight would still be pretty close since Machine Man can self-repair to an extent.
