Boratz Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Chapter 37: Securing an Asset After using all the ammunition that she had, Jessica Priest threw away the pistol while trying to make her way back to her ship. After dodging several of the small creatures and evading multiple close calls, the mercenary slipped inside her ship. She quickly shut the door behind her and looked back through the glass. Jessica breathed a small sigh of relief before getting her ship ready. The small vessel successfully detached from the space station. Jessica sat back and watched while the remains of the space station went through its destruction. The mercenary leaned back in her chair and set the controls to take her back to Earth. She heard an alarm going off in the ship and Priest looked over at an alert on the ship's controls. The mercenary realized that she was getting a call from either Luthor or another one of the Council members. Jessica rolled her eyes and ignored the alert as she did not feel like dealing with that conversation at the moment. As the alert continued to go off, the mercenary leaned back and look out at the dark abyss of outer space. Jessica slowly closed her eyes and started to doze off. A faint crawling sound within her small ship soon caught the attention of the deranged assassin. Jessica's shot open and she leaned forward to see if she could find the source of the faint sound. She jumped to her feet and reached down to take her knife out of its sheath. Her dark eyes moved around the area and searched for the source of the sound. She then heard the tapping sound from up above. Jessica looked up and saw the small creature standing inside an upper compartment. She scowled and scoffed before shrugging her should. "Fu....", she spit out before the small creatures leapt onto her face. The creature latched onto her with a powerful grip. Jessica's body fell back against the controls as she struggled to try and break the creature loose. In her struggles, she inadvertently hit the communication alert that she was receiving. A holographic image of both Lex Luthor and Grand Admiral Thrawn formed within the ship. They watched as Jessica's body went completely still with the creature latched tightly onto her face. "Enable the cryogenic protocol." Luthor said while staring down at the body of the mercenary. "You're going to freeze them?" Thrawn asked curiously. "Yes..." Lex replied before ending the transmission. Back in the Chimaera, Luthor turned his attention toward the Chiss Imperial. "These creatures, the xenomorphs are a plague. They cannot be controlled or contained. It is a wonder why Stark and Wayne wanted to study these things, even if it was on a space station far from Earth or any other habitable planet." "Then why not simply use the ship's self-destruction override?" Thrawn asked with that same curiosity. "Even though those creatures cannot be contained or controlled, they can be unleashed. Once the time comes for us to unthaw Priest and the specimen that will be growing inside of her, we can use it to our advantage." Lex replied. A smirk formed on the side of one of Thrawn's cheeks as he reflected on one of secret the plans that he has in motion. His smirk faded before turning to face the CEO of LexCorps. "I was only curious. I have also studied the Xenomorphs quite extensively. I know of the danger that they pose. I believe they will be of use to us." "I will see to it that Priest's body will remain frozen. She is as good as dead. There is no extracting the specimen without killing her. Once her ship arrives on Earth, I will send orders for one of our operatives to retrieve her frozen remains. We will keep her on ice until we can make arrangements for her to be transported to off my planet." Lex said while taking out his phone. Back on Earth, The pale moonlight illuminated the top floors of a nice hotel room. Within this room, a wealthy gambler was struggling for his life. Her legs were wrapped his body and her hands were covering his mouth. He could feel the air escaping his lungs while small bones cracked under her powerful grasp. She smiled while he struggled for his life. Soon the life faded from his eyes and the dark-haired woman pushed his lifeless body back against the bed. While looking over his corpse, the woman took a photo of the gambler and sent it to her handler. She glanced back down at him and chuckled. Down at the casino, this man thought he was going to have the time of his life with her. He never realized it would be the final moments of his life after meeting this mysterious assassin. After sending confirmation of her completed assignment, Xenia grinned once she saw the funds transferring to her account. She sauntered out of the room and head toward the elevators. The assassin glanced back and watched while security entered into the dark room. Xenia slipped over toward the fire escape and quickly made her way down the stairs. Once she got into the lobby of the hotel, the assassin heard the alarms starting to blare across the building. She smiled once she disappeared into the crowd. Security and guards were scrambling around in search of the mystery woman that had just murdered the wealthy gambler. While leaving the luxurious hotel, the assassin was able to discreetly change her disguise while heading to her car. She opened the door and sat down behind the wheel. Xenia grinned at her reflecting in the mirror before starting the engine of her vehicle. She soon saw her phone going off and glanced down at an unknown number on the screen. While gently biting her lipstick-stained lips, she answered the phone. Expecting her handler to be on the other end, she found herself surprised that the caller was someone else entirely. Xenia sped away from the hotel resort as the caller started introducing themselves and presenting her with a new assignment. "Your services are being requested by my employer." Mercy Graves answered while Xenia Onatopp drove into the night. "Who is your employer?" Xenia asked with her thick accent. "My employer's name is not relevant but they will make it well worth your time." Mercy replied. "What is being asked of me?" Xenia asked with a small grin. "There is a vessel that has landed not far from your location. The vessel has a mechanism that has kept the inside in a cryogenic state. We need you to secure the vessel and have it taken to a specialist that we have a few hours from your location." Mercy replied. "That does not sound like my typical job." Xenia replied with a frown. "There will be other interested parties that will try and obtain this vessel. Eliminate all interested parties and it is vital that the vessel remains frozen." Mercy replied. "Now, it is sounding a little more interesting." Xenia replied. "Where is this vessel that you want me to collect?" "I will send you the coordinates along with an extraction tea. that will be able to transport the small ship. Time is of the essence. Again, it is vital that the vessel remain closed and the items within remain frozen. My employer wants you to oversee the operation to make sure everything goes according to plan and there are no loose ends." Mercy responded. "Consider it done." Xenia said before hanging up the phone. Once she received the coordinates, Xenia sped off into the direction of her assignment. Meanwhile, Jack Bauer rubbed his eyes before walking into the conference room with Phil Coulson and Abe Sapien. While they were pleased with the Black Widow's success in retrieving the droid, they knew that there were other pressing issues that needed to be addressed. While Natasha was set to meet with Nick Fury and deliver the droid into S.H.I.E.L.D. custody, Bauer still found himself concerned over the destruction of the Stark Industries and Wayne Enterprise space station along with the question of who hired Jessica Priest. As Jack sat down with the other government operatives, he glanced over at Abe. The B.P.R.D. agent was looking over a file before turning his attention to both Jack and Phil. "This is quite troubling." Abe said with a cautious voice. "Why did Stark and Wayne even have those things on that space station?" Jack asked in disbelief. "According to Stark, they were studying different organisms in that space station. The goal between him and Wayne was not for weaponizing those creatures but in hopes of finding a better way to combat the creatures." Coulson replied. "Did any of them escape the station?" Abe asked. "We are not sure. Our satellites found that a small craft that escaped shortly after Death's Head and Natasha escaped. Heat signatures found that it was frozen from the inside." Coulson replied. "Damnit." Jack said before standing up from his chair. The CTU agent leaned against the table and then glanced over at the S.H.I.E.L.D. operative. "Where is the vessel now?" Jack asked. "Cuba." Phil replied. "What do you propose that we do?" Abe asked. Coulson let out a steady sigh while a warm smirk formed across his cheeks. "There is an operative in the area. She is with Cuban intelligence who has worked closely with the CIA on some previous assignment." "You don't sound too confident." Jack said with an inquisitive look. "She is relatively new to the field." Coulson replied cautiously. "How new?" Jack asked. "Three weeks of training." Coulson said with a smile. "You got to be kidding me." Jack said rubbing his face and turning away from the table. "I... believe in her." Coulson said confidently. "She actually assisted an operative for the MI6 against a trap set by SPECTRE. I think she can secure the vessel." "You better be right, Phil. If you're not then we could have a global crisis on our hands." Jack said while glancing back at Coulson. "She is the closest ally that we have to the area. She may be the only choice that we have." Phil replied. In Cuba, Sitting at a bar, the young agent took a sip from her drink while keeping an eye on her target. While the mission was simple in covert surveillance. She was to plan a listening and tracking device in the form of nanotechnology into the drink of her target. Without being too obvious, the young agent searched for the right opportunity. In a small window of time, she found the opportunity to act. She stumbled past a crowd and toward her target. While his security was distracted, she pretended to trip into the target's arms. In that moment, she discreetly poured the nanotechnology into the target's drink. The target helped her back to her feet. After a few suggestive comments from the target, the young agent let out a flirtatious chuckle while walking away from the target and his guards. She stumbled back towards her seat and leaned forward against the bar. Glancing back with her hazel eyes, she watched as the man took a sip from his drink. A smile grin formed across her lip-stick covered lips while steadily moving away from the bar. With the mission a success, the young agent walked outside in the dimly lit streets. The stars and moon were shining down upon her as she felt a bit of triumph in her veins. While making her way toward her rendezvous spot, she felt her phone going off. She reached down and her eyes looked over the number on the screen. The young agent recognized the number as her superior officer. Making sure that she was not being followed, the young agent looked over her surroundings before answering the phone. "It has been completed, Felix." She answered the phone while continuing her walk toward the rendezvous spot. "Well, that is good but this is not Felix. I am sending you my credentials just so you can verify who I am. My name is Phil Coulson and I am an agent with S.H.I.E.L.D. I have an assignment for you that is of extreme importance and a little time sensitive." While looking over the credentials of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and verifying his information, the young agent responded, "What is the mission, Agent Coulson?" "It's an extraction. A small craft from the Stark-Wayne Space Station landed not far from your location. We believe that the contents inside have been frozen. It is important that you get to this craft and keep it on ice. We have equipment in your area that will help you with this assignment." Coulson replied. "Why me?" The young agent asked. "Agent Paloma, you are the closest ally that we have in the area. Time is of grave importance on this one. The contents of that craft must remain frozen by any means necessary and we cannot allow it to fall into enemy hands." Coulson replied. "Consider it done." Paloma replied with a smile. After collecting her supplies and weapons, the young agent headed toward the coordinates of the craft. Before she arrived, she saw a small group loading it up into a truck. Within this group, there was a dark-haired woman that was barking out orders. Knowing her orders and what it would mean if the contents of the craft fell into the wrong hands, Paloma decided to act. She took out her machine and shot down the henchmen with ease. The dark-haired woman lunged behind the truck. Paloma could hear this woman laughing as she approached the truck. "I figured it would not be this easy!" Xenia shouted. Paloma kept her composure while taking cover. She knew that she was in for a battle. From what she could gather, this dark-haired woman was a professional. The young agent knew that she would have to find a way to take her out quickly before other enemies arrived. "What's wrong? You don't want to speak!" Xenia yelled in her thick accent. "That's okay. I will have fun killing you!" ***************************** Bond girl vs. Bond girl. Paloma is armed with a machine gun and pistol. Xenia Onatopp is also armed with a machine gun and pistol.

Macklemore Posted September 21 Posted September 21 I think Xenia is the more impressive of the two Bond girls, but I guess that comes with the fact that she appeared during a time period of Bond Films where the cartoon feats were a bit more cartoonish, for lack of a better word. She should have this.
JohnnyChany Posted September 22 Posted September 22 Good matchup, Boratz. Xenia was always one of my favorite bond villains. I think she can take down Paloma.
Twogunkid Posted September 22 Posted September 22 Paloma showed a ton of competency. Onnatop's sadistic streak will cost her.
