JohnnyChany Posted September 29 Posted September 29 In the shadow of a looming mountain, a small village went about its business unaware of the approaching danger. The Fearsome Five, the notorious group of supervillains, had set their sights on this remote location. Currently, the quintet was missing their leader, Psimon, who had been imprisoned in a magical stasis by none other than Zatanna. To free him, the remaining members, Jinx, Mammoth, Shimmer, and Gizmo made their way to the village to abduct an elder who had a deep connection to Zatanna and intended to use him as leverage to free Psimon. Jinx, the Indian elemental sorceress, led the charge. Her eyes gleamed green with anticipation. Mammoth, the towering behemoth of muscle, followed her with his sister, Shimmer, by his side. her golden skin shimmering as she manipulated the very elements around her, floated beside him. Gizmo, the diminutive tech genius, humming along on his jetpack, brought up the rear. “Let’s make this quick,” Jinx said with a blend of malice and amusement. “We’ve got a prisoner to free.” Not far from the village, Lina Inverse and Naga the Serpent were traveling along the mountain’s winding paths. It was quickly becoming clear that Lina was not enjoying the trek. “Why do we always end up in places like this?” Lina grumbled. “I swear, the universe has it out for me. I have a bad feeling about this area.” Naga cackled. “Perhaps it’s fate, Lina! After all, where there’s trouble, there’s treasure!” Before Lina could retort, a series of explosions echoed through the valley, followed by the panicked cries of villagers. A wide eyed expression spread across Lina’s face as she turned toward the sound. “I knew it. That’s not good,” said Lina. “Come on, Naga. Sounds like someone needs our help.” As they glided over a hill, the village came into view. Mammoth was rampaging through the streets, smashing buildings with his enormous fists. Shimmer manipulated the surfaces around her. She turned the ground beneath nearby villagers’ feet into molten lava and then froze it solid in an instant. “We’ve got to stop them!” Lina exclaimed. “They’re destroying this village!” Naga grinned with unshakable confidence. “Leave it to me, Lina! I’ll handle that brute!” Lina wasted no time. “Fireball!” she shouted. Lina launched a blazing orb of fire at Shimmer. The spell exploded on impact, but Shimmer quickly countered it and transformed the flames into harmless water droplets that rained down around her. “Nice try, little girl,” Shimmer taunted. “But you’ll have to do better than that.” Lina’s hand glowed with magical energy. “Don’t underestimate me!. Diem Wing!” A powerful gust of wind swept through the village and knocked Shimmer off her feet and sent her crashing into a nearby building. Meanwhile, Naga squared off against Mammoth. “You think your muscles can match my magic?” she taunted. “Prepare to be crushed!” Mammoth roared in response. He charged at Naga with the force of a runaway train. Naga stood firm. “Freeze Arrow!” A beam of icy energy shot from her hands and encased Mammoth’s legs in thick ice. “Grah! You’ll pay for that!” Mammoth bellowed. He used his immense strength to shatter the ice and continued his charge at Naga. “Dark Mist!” she cried and summoned a cloud of pitch-black fog that enveloped Mammoth, blinding him. He swung wildly, unable to see his target, while Naga danced nimbly out of his reach. “Let’s see how you handle this!” declared Lina. “Elmekia Lance!” A beam of pure energy shot toward Shimmer, who barely had time to raise a shield of solid earth. The force of the spell shattered Shimmer’s shield and sent her flying backward. She crashed to the ground and groaned in pain Naga, meanwhile, toyed with Mammoth. Her laughter filled the battlefield as she dodged his clumsy attacks. “Is that the best you’ve got?” she mocked. “You’re not even worth my full power!” With a final burst of speed, Lina and Naga unleashed their combined magic on their opponents. “Dragon Slave!” Lina shouted. The spell’s devastating power obliterated Shimmer’s last defenses and rendered her unconscious. “Chaos String!” Naga bound Mammoth in unbreakable magical chains that sapped his strength and left him helpless on the ground. The villagers, who had been watching the battle in terror, began to cheer as Lina and Naga stood victorious over their foes. As Lina and Naga caught their breath, a slow, mocking clap echoed through the air. “Not bad, for a couple of second-rate sorceresses.” Lina and Naga turned to see Jinx with a smirk on her lips as she surveyed the scene. “But let’s be honest, you’re way out of your league little girls.” Lina frowned. “Who are you?” “The name is Jinx,” Jinx replied. “And you’re about to regret ever crossing paths with the Fearsome Five.” Naga crossed her arms and glared at Jinx. “You think you’re so great, huh? We just took down your friends without breaking a sweat!” Jinx laughed. “Oh, sweetie, those two are just the warm-up act. I’m the main event.” As she spoke, Jinx began to demonstrate her powers. With a flick of her wrist, she caused the ground beneath Lina to crack and crumble. Lina jumped to safety, but not before glaring over at Jinx. “Nice try,” stated Lina. “But I’ve faced worse than you.” Jinx’s eyes sparkled. “We’ll see about that.” Jinx shot bolts of lightning at Lina and Naga and they backpedaled. In the distance, Gizmo appeared with a defenseless old man firm in his grasp. He began to hover away with his prisoner. “Jinx, hurry up now, I have secured what we came for,” he called out. “That poor man,” Lina cried out. She turned to Naga. “You handle this witch, I’ll save him.” Lina took off after Gizmo. Jinx attempted to follow her, but Naga stood in her way. Jinx smirked. “Oh, you’re making a big mistake. Now it’s just you and me.” Naga flipped her hair back confidently and she laughed. “You think I’m scared of you? I’m Naga the Serpent! You’re the one who’s made a grievous error by challenging me!” Jinx was unimpressed. “You talk big, but can you back it up? Let’s see what you’ve got, serpent girl.” Naga laughed again. “Prepare to be humbled by the greatest sorceress alive!”

Venom 2009 Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Nice to see Naga in an Official Match. 😃 For those that may not know of Naga, I found some videos of her. However, they are music videos. They were the best ones I could find on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJtmrPs-JFw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSLdO8lZwIY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0CfS0_8_hQ
JohnnyChany Posted October 1 Author Posted October 1 When I was researching Naga after I picked her from your list of suggestions in the not used topic, I was able to quickly skim through some episodes of Slayers on Youtube which relay her personality and abilities pretty well for those interested. I figured Jinx would be a good match for her since they both rely on elemental magic and have arrogant personalities. 1
DSkillz Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Good set-up, @JohnnyChany. Good story, and it also looks like a good battle of sorceresses. As for the match, does Jinx just have her elemental powers like her Pre-New 52 self, or does she also have her probability powers like she currently does in the comics? Either way, it looks like this Naga chick could probably use her superior combat skill along with her own powerful magic to keep Jinx off-balance enough to beat her.

Then again, I do worry that sometimes if I did vote it could be the one to make it a tie which I would hate. Just wish there was a way to count the tie or see the tie before it finishes. 16 hours ago, DSkillz said: In that case, it would've made things easier for Naga.
