Match 20961 Teal'c vs. Mumm-Ra the Ever-Living

Previously: Resurrecting the demon priest Mumm-Ra, Dukat took him to the homeworld of the Jaffa warrirors. A few of them were rebels and a squad went to the black pyrimid to kill Mumm-Ra. Teal’C made it the farthest but Dukak stood in between him and his objective.

 

 

Dukat was clearly outmatched by this Jaffa warrior in physical combat so he tried to call upon the dark powers that the Pa Wraiths had granted him.

Still it was not enough and Teal’c ended him.

Now came the mission. Ending Mumm-Ra. He searched the chamber and saw an upstanding coffin that looked like it housed a demon priest.

Since the dark servant was not standing around, Teal’c assumed that Mumm-Ra was in the coffin. Tempted to blast the thing from a distance, he thought better of it and figured it would be better to see the body destroyed rather than assume it.

With his strength, opening the sarcophagus wasn’t that difficult. Inside rested a withered old humanoid man. The depictions of Mumm-Ra that Teal’c had grown up seeing portrayed a powerful man. But there was that story of a bandaged man who was empowered by the spirits of evil. This must be him, in his true, weakened state.

Mumm-Ra opened his eyes before Teal’c could even get the cover all the way off. The wickedness in his eyes gave the Jaffa warrior pause.

“You are hear to kill me.”

The voice was not in his ear but in his mind.

At first Teal’C didn’t know how to respond. Before he decided what to do the voice spoke again.

“It is disappointing. You are a strong Jaffa warrior. These current servants are weak. Timid. You would have a place of honor by my side.”

The cover to Mumm-Ra’s coffin finished moving on its own and the demon priest himself stepped out. It was then that Teal’C realized that Mumm-Ra was talking to him telepathically.

“I would never serve the darkness!” The Jaffa warrior bellowed.

Feet dragging, Mumm-Ra crept forward. “Then the darkness will end you.”

 

Fight Parameters:

 

Mumm-Ra is in his withered state and will not transform for this battle.

 

Teal has only Jaffa weapons.

Fairly short entry. Going with Mumm-Ra.

Pretty good Megastory chapter, leroy, if kinda short. 

As for the match, it feels like even a mummified Mumm-Ra has too many powers for Teal'c to overcome.
