JohnnyChany Posted November 6 Posted November 6 You sit at a polished desk with stacks of papers and a steaming cup of Titan Treats coffee. The walls are adorned with banners touting slogans like "Treat Yourself to a Titan!" and "Bite into Bigger Flavor!" Today’s task is an important one: selecting the official brand ambassador for Titan Treats, a food empire known for its giant, monstrous-sized candy, donuts, and pizzas. You’ve narrowed it down to two final candidates: Reptar, the iconic green dinosaur, and Godzillo, the powerhouse mini kaiju hero slash movie star. Their applications lie before you, along with letters of recommendation from Stu Pickles and Melissa Shield. Reptar’s Application Name: Reptar Experience: Cultural icon for over 25 years, beloved by children and nostalgic adults alike. Known for high-energy roars, dramatic presence, and a family-friendly image. Key Traits: Vibrant, lovable, non-verbal mascot known to captivate fans with expressive gestures and wide-eyed enthusiasm. Often associated with bold flavor, bright colors, and larger-than-life appeal. Proposed Slogan: "Go Wild with Titan Treats—Unleash Your Inner Reptar!" Reptar’s Pitch: "Reptar is more than a dinosaur—he’s a lifestyle. Children and adults alike feel the excitement when they see his famous green scales and hear his booming roar. Imagine Reptar stomping through cities filled with donuts and pizza slices in a brand-new animated commercial, charming families across the nation. Reptar doesn’t just sell a product, he creates memories. Choose Reptar, and make Titan Treats the go-to brand for a multigenerational audience craving family friendly entertainment with a dash of excitement." Godzillo’s Application Name: Godzillo Experience: One of the top contenders from Japan’s hero scene that has since moved to the United States. Celebrated for his imposing strength, hip style, and his appeal among younger demographics. Highly popular within anime and kaiju fanbases. Star of multiple motion pictures. Key Traits: Formidable, heroic presence with powers that combine strength and resilience with a laid back cool, embodying both fun and ferocity. Known for being kind and friendly despite his fearsome appearance. Proposed Slogan: "The Power of Godzillo, the Flavor of Titan Treats!" Godzillo’s Pitch: "With his unparalleled might and sense of justice, Godzillo brings Titan Treats an edge like no other. Imagine the donut-chomping, villain vanquishing hero promoting the brand in a series of live-action and animated crossovers. Godzillo has the charisma to reach fans in Japan, America, and beyond. By choosing Godzillo, you’re tapping into a global fanbase that thrives on strength, adventure, and loyalty. With Godzillo on your side, Titan Treats’ reputation will grow as towering as the thirteen foot hero himself." Letters of Recommendation Letter from Stu Pickles (on behalf of Reptar): "Dear Titan Treats Board of Directors, I can say with absolute confidence that Reptar is a symbol of joy and excitement for countless families. Reptar brings people together in a way that few other icons can. He’s a presence that is somehow both awe-inspiring and approachable. Over the years, I’ve watched him brighten the faces of children, make crowds cheer, and even get my son, Tommy, to eat his vegetables. Imagine that power applied to donuts and pizza! Reptar’s silent charm and larger-than-life personality would make him a perfect ambassador for Titan Treats. Everyone loves Reptar! Warm regards, Stu Pickles" Letter from Melissa Shield (on behalf of Godzillo): "To the Titan Treats Selection Committee, Godzillo isn’t just a hero, he’s a powerhouse with a heart of gold. As one of Japan’s favorite heroes, he’s built a reputation for being fierce in battle yet compassionate with fans. Godzillo’s immense popularity among teens and young adults in Japan and the U.S. makes him an ideal choice to represent Titan Treats on a global scale. I’ve seen firsthand how he captivates audiences. Imagine a mighty kaiju enjoying a super enlarged slice of pizza! Godzillo would be the perfect representative for a brand that stands tall, strong, and ready to bring flavor to the world. Sincerely, Melissa Shield" You must now consider your options, what is your target demographic? Which demographic would be more profitable? Who gives you the best chance to get your product in front of the most eyeballs that can become consumers? Are you considering outside forces that can damage the image of your product? Does that matter? The choice is yours.

Macklemore Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Reptar is a very, very, very easy sell for a mascot. I watched MHA in its entirety recently, Godzillo is really just a nothing character and he would do even less as a mascot.
Venom 2009 Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Oh, wow! I forgotten that I added Reptar to the site. Well, Reptar is a big icon in the Rugrats world. So, I guess Reptar would be the best choice.
Pizza Guy Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Reptar! I actually had a Reptar toy as a kid and that thing was my prized possession.

When I looked into Godzillo there definitely wasn't a lot there, which is why I didn't do a normal fight. But as a brand ambassador, he looks like a mini-Godzilla, stars in movies, and dresses like a daredevil that has to be checking some boxes in the marketing department.
