Culwych1
Introduction When the aliens arrived, they brought a storm of terror and fury unlike anything humanity had ever known. They descended from the stars like a dark force of nature, with powers that twisted our reality into nightmares. Lightspeed drones that could morph and shape at will tore through the skies, beings of pure thought bent men’s minds into madness, and godlike creatures who strode among us, bending the very laws of existence as if they were nothing. We fought back, clinging to survival by any means, yet it was as if our struggles only amused them. Then, one day, they offered something else: entertainment. They gathered 32 of humanity’s most iconic, most ruthless, and most fearless warriors, and pitted them against each other in a tournament of blood and spectacle. A brutal, twisted arena filled with shifting worlds and deadly obstacles, all for their alien amusement. Our survival, they promised, hung on the prowess of these chosen champions. And as the blood flowed, they laughed—and we were forced to laugh with them, sharing the twisted joy of our alien masters as heroes clashed and legends died. Was this our chance at redemption, or just another twist in their sadistic game? Nobody knew. Only the alien minds behind the Apex Arena understood this grim spectacle, and they beamed it directly into the minds of every remaining human, a relentless vision of battle, fear, and death. And so, the Apex Arena shifted once more, conjuring a fresh, warped location, bringing the victors of previous fights face-to-face for another brutal clash. A new battleground formed, bloody and unforgiving, as the arena’s cruel magic worked itself upon Earth’s warriors once again. ----------------- Apex Arena – Battle B6: John Wick vs. John Matrix The Apex Arena shifted once more, the fabric of reality twisting as the alien architects reached deep into the collective consciousness of humanity and pulled forth a land that balanced on the knife-edge between whimsy and horror: Oz. But this was not the enchanting, Technicolor world that we loved. No, this was a thing of destitute horror; the yellow brick road lay cracked and splintered, with dark ivy coiling around the stones like suffocating tendrils. The emerald city in the distance shimmered with a sickly, green light, fractured and jagged as if its towers were mirrors that had been shattered and reassembled by a mad hand – full of shards and edges. The skies above churned with clouds the colour of storm-slicked iron, charged with the energy of an impending storm. John Wick appeared on the fractured road, his dark silhouette sharp against the washed-out yellows and greens of this haunted land. The wind whipped around him, billowing his armour laced suit and carrying with it the faint, ghostly giggles of long-lost Munchkins. Wick’s eyes, sharp as the edge of a blade, surveyed the shifting landscape. He moved with a predatory grace, spotting an Emberflame Crossbow lying amidst the overgrown ruins of a crumbling cottage. Its dragon bone frame pulsed with heat, embers glowing along its carved inlays. He picked it up, feeling the warmth seep into his fingers. This was a new kind weapon for a new kind of hell. John Matrix materialized at the edge of a blackened poppy field, its once-vibrant flowers now oozing tar-like ichor that hissed as it dripped onto the scorched earth. The scent of burnt petals mixed with something metallic hung in the air. He stood tall, muscles coiled like springs under the strain of anticipation. He, too, spotted an Emberflame Crossbow propped against the gnarled roots of a dead tree, the carved dragon bone gleaming with enchanted fire. Matrix’s grin was feral as he grabbed the weapon, feeling its weight and the thrum of magic that ran through it. The air crackled as the men locked eyes across the desolate road. Between them, the once-colorful, now desaturated remnants of Munchkinland stood as a reminder of what was at stake—a land that had twisted under the influence of the Arena's cruel games. Munchkin bodies, scarecrow parts, and other horrors lay dotted here and there. Some still groaned feebly. Around them, the whispering wind carried distant cries, and more than once, the flitting shadow of a figure darted between broken cottages. Suddenly, a guttural roar echoed from the shadows, and one of the cottages shuddered. From its collapsed doorway emerged a creature torn from nightmare; a twisted fusion of beast and metal, eyes glowing with an unnatural light, its claws scratching deep furrows into the dirt. It roared like a lion and clanked along like a tinman… Oz had more than just its whimsical past; the Apex Arena had seen to that. Wick's gaze flicked to Matrix, an unspoken understanding passing between them. They’d need to navigate this world, where fantasy had morphed into nightmare, fighting not only each other but the living, breathing horrors that watched from the shadows. Wick raised the Emberflame Crossbow, its flames flickering, while Matrix did the same, his grin never faltering. The battle was set in the fractured world of Oz, where every bolt would light up the dark and every step could lead to glory, or death.

RiotGear
Wick may be marginally faster, but Matrix is better in every other way. The guy is cartoonishly strong and durable.
Pizza Guy
I’m leaning Wick. Give me skill, precision, and killer instincts over brute force every day.

Matrix was more than brute force. He also displayed skill and definitely had killer instincts.
Dr_Manhattan_88
I have to give this to Wick. World class assassin beats out special forces imo.
