JohnnyChany Posted Friday at 08:34 PM Posted Friday at 08:34 PM The gothic spires of the Alucard estate rose like silent sentinels over the endless expanse of darkened gardens. Within the grand halls, Rachel Alucard reclined on an ornate chair. Her expression was serene, framed by her trademark twin tails of golden hair. A steaming cup of tea rested delicately in her hand. She gently took in a few sips. Across from her stood Valkenhayn R. Hellsing, the steadfast werewolf butler to the Alucard family who exuded both grace and deference. He regarded his mistress with a mixture of loyalty and concern. "You've meddled far too deeply in this timeline, Lady Rachel," Valkenhayn finally said. "The events of the Boundary and the Continuum Shift have left your designation as the Observer precariously thin. You cannot afford another misstep." Rachel swirled her tea nonchalantly. "Every action I have taken has been for the sake of avoiding calamity. Would you rather I stood idly by as Ragna, Jin, and the others danced to Terumi's discordant tune, only for existence itself to unravel?" Valkenhayn remained firm. "If you lose your Bystander empowerment, you risk becoming vulnerable. The weight of interference could crush you, and your enemies would waste no time exploiting your weakened state." Rachel sighed and set down her cup. "You misunderstand me, Valkenhayn. I have no intention of losing my Bystander designation. But should the need arise to intervene once more, I must remain strong." Her gaze shifted to the window. "And therein lies my conundrum. How does one test their strength without further upsetting the balance?" A faint smile crept across Valkenhayn's face. "As it happens, my lady, I may have a solution." Rachel lifted an eyebrow. "Oh? Do elaborate." Valkenhayn stepped forward. "After so many centuries in your service, I found myself pondering what gift might befit your forthcoming birthday. What could one possibly offer someone who has lived as long as you and has everything?" Rachel leaned forward, intrigued. "And?" "Allow me to escort you to the field near the estate, my lady. I believe you will find the answer... most intriguing." They made their way to an expansive open field. It was tranquil and bordered by skeletal trees.. Rachel followed Valkenhayn, her curiosity mounting as he spoke. "Before you were born, your father, Lord Clavis, had a fateful encounter with a deity from another dimension," Valkenhayn began. "A god of darkness, war, death, and violence. The god’s name was Emroy and Emroy was quite bloodthirsty." Rachel's crimson eyes glimmered. "How curious. And what transpired?" "Initially, hostility, as one might expect," Valkenhayn admitted. "However, Lord Clavis earned Emroy’s respect through battle, subduing two of the god’s apostles. A truce was struck, and ever since, Emroy has kept a watchful eye on the Alucard family." They stopped in the center of the field. Valkenhayn turned to face Rachel. "Recently, I encountered an oracle of Emroy. During our exchange, I expressed your concerns about maintaining your strength while preserving your Observer nature. As fate would have it, the oracle returned the next day and informed me that Emroy also has a similar desire.... and now, one of his apostles has come here at his behest." A sudden shift in the air sent a ripple through the fabric of reality. A figure appeared and stepped through an unseen veil with grace and confidence. Rory Mercury stood before them. She was a striking figure. Her youthful appearance was a stark contrast to the ancient aura she exuded. Long, raven-black hair cascaded down her back, tied with blood red ribbons. Her eyes sparkled with mirth as she adjusted the hem of her Gothic-styled dress. A massive halberd rested against her shoulder. The blade gleamed ominously. “Lady Rachel, may I introduce to you Rory Mercury, the demigoddess of war,” stated Valkenhayn. “And Lady Rory, welcome to our world.” Rory nodded with gratitude. Rachel studied the newcomer with a bemused smile. "Ah, a demigoddess of war. How delightful." Rory’s grinned. "And you must be Rachel Alucard. You’re much smaller than I would have expected from stories of your family, but appearances can be deceiving, can’t they?" Rachel chuckled, her tone as light as the wind she commanded. "Quite. And might I say, you wear your centuries well, though your choice of weapon does betray your rather... direct approach to conflict." Rory laughed. "And you wear your aristocracy well, though I wonder if all that tea-sipping hasn’t dulled your fangs, vampire. Let’s find out, shall we?" Rachel locked eyes with Rory. "A test of strength and skill, then. How delightful. I must commend Valkenhayn on his thoughtfulness for this endeavor." Valkenhayn bowed slightly and stepped back. "I thought it a fitting opportunity for both parties, my lady. A good test to see where you both stand. Do try to enjoy yourself." The two women faced each other/ Rachel raised her parasol. "Shall we begin, Apostle of Emroy?" Rory twirled her halberd. "With pleasure, Daughter of Clavis."

JohnnyChany Posted Friday at 08:58 PM Author Posted Friday at 08:58 PM There is a video from the story of BlazBlue where Rachel creates a shield to stop a city destroying blast from space and Rory is a demigoddess so obviously both are very powerful. For how they fight I present the following two videos.
leroypowell3 Posted Friday at 10:30 PM Posted Friday at 10:30 PM What a nice matchup. As far as the videos, I never saw Rory take on anything that was an actual threat to her. I get the feeling all that giggling will stop when Racheal tears into her.
DSkillz Posted yesterday at 07:29 AM Posted yesterday at 07:29 AM Good set-up and matchup of childlike anime, um ... deities, Johnny. After looking both girls up, you seem to have them both in-character. As for the match, Rory seems almost vastly outmatched when I look at both girls' abilities. Rachel should probably be able to outpace and outlast her.
Venom 2009 Posted yesterday at 10:00 AM Posted yesterday at 10:00 AM I don't know who would win, but I'm give Rory my vote.
