The harsh staccato of gunfire echoed through the sleek, metallic corridors of the DOATEC research facility. Red warning lights pulsed overhead, casting a crimson glow on the chaos below. Sonya Blade sprinted forward, firing controlled bursts from her SMG as DOATEC guards in tactical armor scrambled to hold their ground. Behind her, Jax Briggs tore through their ranks like a human wrecking ball, his cybernetic arms delivering devastating blows.

“Watch your six, Sonya!” Jax barked, slamming a guard into the wall with enough force to leave a dent.

“Got it!” Sonya shouted back, dropping into a slide and taking out two guards with pinpoint headshots.

Further down the hall, Special Forces operatives advanced in a tight formation, clearing rooms and securing key areas. The mission was simple: breach the facility, extract DOATEC’s data on its classified bioweapon research, and get out before reinforcements arrived. But the execution was anything but easy.

“Command,” Sonya said into her comms, ducking behind cover. “We’ve got heavy resistance. Files are secured, moving to extraction now.”

“Copy that,” came the reply. “ETA on your ride is five minutes. Move fast.”

Jax stomped past her, his metallic fists glowing faintly. “Five minutes? We’ll be there in three. These DOATEC clowns couldn’t stop us if they tried.”

Sonya gave a small smirk as she reloaded. “Let’s not get cocky. We’re not home free yet.”

With the guards neutralized and the data drives in hand, the team made their way toward the extraction point, weaving through the labyrinthine facility. The tension was palpable, every shadow and corner a potential threat.

As they rounded the final corner toward the exit, Jax paused, his brow furrowing. “Hold up. You hear that?”

Sonya’s hand shot to her sidearm as she scanned the dimly lit corridor. Faint footsteps echoed ahead, slow and deliberate. A woman’s voice cut through the silence, smooth and laced with venom.

“Well, look who decided to join the party.”

From the shadows stepped Christie, her snow-white hair catching the flickering light. She moved with a deadly elegance, her bodysuit clinging like a second skin. At her side was Bayman, his hulking frame and scarred face exuding menace.

“Special Forces,” Christie said, her lips curling into a smirk. “How charming. You’ve made quite the mess of our little facility.”

Sonya leveled her weapon at the pair. “DOATEC’s got a lot to answer for. Step aside, and you might walk out of here in one piece.”

Bayman let out a low chuckle, crossing his arms. “Bold talk for someone who’s trespassing. You’ve got the data, but you’re not leaving with it.”

Jax cracked his neck, his cybernetic arms flexing. “Yeah? You and what army?”

Christie’s smirk widened. “Oh, we don’t need an army. Just us.”

Without warning, Christie launched forward, a blur of motion. Sonya fired, but Christie twisted to the side, dodging effortlessly. Bayman followed, his powerful strides shaking the floor. Jax met him head-on, the impact of their clash sending a shockwave through the corridor.

Gunfire erupted as both duos exchanged blows and bullets. Sonya parried a strike from Christie, the assassin’s speed forcing her to rely on years of disciplined technique. Meanwhile, Jax and Bayman clashed like titans, fists colliding in a contest of raw power and precision.

“Running low on ammo here!” Jax called out, blocking a heavy punch.

“Then stop wasting it!” Sonya snapped, slamming the butt of her gun into Christie’s side.

As if by unspoken agreement, the gunfire ceased. Empty clips clattered to the floor, and all four combatants stood breathing heavily, staring each other down.

Christie wiped a speck of blood from her lip, her violet eyes gleaming. “Well, this just got interesting.”

Sonya tossed aside her weapon and raised her fists. “Guess we settle this the old-fashioned way.”

Jax rolled his shoulders, his cybernetic arms whirring faintly. “You’re about to find out what happens when you mess with the wrong duo.”

Bayman cracked his knuckles, his smirk never wavering. “Nyet, I don't think so American.”

The two duos squared off, tension thick in the air. The hall was silent but for the sound of their breaths, the moment hanging like a coiled spring.

And then, they charged.

Bayman is my favorite dude in my favorite 3D fighting game Dead or Alive. He might have had a chance against pre cyborge Jax but not post.

Christie is a bad chick but... it's Sonya Blade.

Makes sense, I just thought these two groups make a fun contrast, they're similar in a way but different.

Nice grouping. I want to give it to Christie and Bayman, but they are not on the level of Sonya and Jax. I don't even think they like each other at this point in the series and if they had any shot against the MK duo they would need to be on the same page.

That's a good point indeed, teamwork is essential here and Sonya and Jax have a good work relationship
