As Baba's voice echoed through the chamber, Raditz wasted no time. He lunged forward, his movements a blur of speed and incredible power. Yamcha braced himself, drawing his Azure Dragon Sword in one fluid motion, the metal gleaming under the dim lights of the palace. Yamcha dashed forward to meet his opponent, aiming to slash Raditz's head clean off.

Raditz's first punch was a feint, his body moving from the place he was, and reappearing above Yamcha. Raditz dealt a swift elbow at Yamcha's head. Yamcha ducked under the blow, feeling the wind rush over him, and countered with a swift thrust of his sword. Raditz parried with his arm guard, sparks flying from the clash.

Raditz returned to the ground, "You'll have to do better than that, Earthling!" Raditz taunted, sending a wave of ki energy in Yamcha's direction. Yamcha leapt into the air, dodging the attack with ease.

Raditz wasted no time going back on the offense, meeting Yamcha in the air and spinning to deliver a roundhouse kick. Yamcha blocked with his sword, then pushed off of Raditz back to the ground, creating distance.

Yamcha returned his sword to its sheath and got into a fighting stance. He knew Raditz was strong, but he had no idea he was so fast. Not to mention his win-loss ratio was impressive in Khazan. Defeating him, here and now, would be just what he needed to earn that star on the Walk of Fame.

"I've faced tougher than you!" Yamcha shouted back, his voice steady as he charged his ki.

The look on Raditz's face didn't seem impressed. "Don't test your luck!" He charged again, but this time Yamcha was ready. He sidestepped a vicious punch and swung a clawed fist onto Raditz's head. The blow connected and Yamcha let his wolf ki roar, following up with several more strikes.

"Wolf Fang Fist!" he shouted, trying to overwhelm Raditz with his trademark barrage. Raditz dodged two strikes but was hit by a third, the impact knocking him off balance. Yamcha didn't hesitate; he dashed forward, using momentum to continue the attack and driving Raditz back.

Unfortunately for Yamcha, the Saiyan was able to keep pace after a quick recovery, unleashing a barrage of his own. Their fists and kicks collided and reverberated through the air. Despite Raditz's superior Saiyan physiology, Yamcha's skill and determination kept him in the fight. If he had a moment to appreciate it, he was proud that his strength was causing the Saiyan to sweat.

But as they traded blows, Yamcha felt the tide of battle needed a shift. He flipped back, putting some distance between them, and took a deep breath, focusing his ki. "Time to end this," Yamcha muttered under his breath.

He clasped his hands together, forming multiple smaller Spirit Balls. "Spirit Ball Technique!" he exclaimed, unleashing the energy orbs. They whizzed around the room in a controlled chaos, directed by Yamcha's focus. Raditz sneered, "Some fancy light show won't win you this battle." The orbs continued to dart through the air faster and faster, drawing closer and closer to Raditz, who flared his ki outward, causing an explosion of power that knocked Yamcha on his ass and disrupting his hold over his technique.

Raditz stood over Yamcha before the air even settled, delivering several stomps to his midsection. Yamcha howled in pain, feeling two of his ribs snap.

Yamcha shouted in pain, but Raditz continued to drive his boot deeper into Yamcha's sides, "Not so tough now, are you?"

With an act of desperate survival, Yamcha pushed past the pain to refocus on the spirit balls that were remaining in the air. With a subtle flick of his hand, he sent all of them at Raditz at once, surprising him from behind.

Raditz staggered forward from the impact, and seizing the opportunity, Yamcha forced himself up despite the agony in his ribs and lunged forward, drawing his Azure Dragon Sword once again. With a swift, powerful slash, he aimed at Raditz's exposed side, managing to cut through part of his armor and leaving a deep gash. Raditz roared in fury and pain, clutching his side as blood started to seep through his fingers.

Yamcha took a haggard breathe and swung his sword again, in a wide arc aiming to strike Raditz's opposite side. Raditz saw the blade coming, but could only block with his arm. The sword cracked his gauntlet, cutting his arm leaving a shallow cut. Raditz roared in pain and drove his fist under Yamcha's chin in a desperate move to gather distance. Yamcha staggered back, then found his footing. The two fighters remained still, now out of each other's reach again.

"How dare you cut me?" Raditz said, the hurt in his voice sounding more insulted than anything.

"Sorry, I didn't tell you but I'm on a winning streak right now," Yamcha managed to gloat in-between breathes.

"Then your streak dies here and now! Double Sunday!" Raditz's ki flared wildly around him as he prepared his next devastating attack. The energy gathered in both of his palms, glowing ominously as he aimed at Yamcha. "Say goodbye!" Raditz roared as he unleashed the twin energy waves.

Yamcha, already weakened, knew dodging was not an option this time. In a split second, he crossed his arms in front of him and braced for impact. The energy waves struck hard, enveloping him in a blinding explosion that shook the very foundations of Baba's palace.

When the light and dust settled, Yamcha was on one knee, panting heavily, his clothes singed and his body screaming in pain. But he was still conscious, still fighting. "Is that all you've got?" Yamcha gasped, trying to provoke Raditz into a reckless attack.

Raditz, breathing heavily, laughed darkly. "Impressive... You are much stronger than my brother was when we fought, I'll give you that." He began to advance towards Yamcha, ready to end the battle with a final strike. "I'm afraid it won't be enough."

Raditz stood before Yamcha, extended his arm, widened his palm and gathered his ki into a blast, firing it point blank at his opponent.

The blast collided with the ground, passing harmlessly through an after-image.

"WHAT!?"

Raditz, realizing the imminent danger, began to turn around but was too late. Yamcha, standing behind Raditz, drove his Azure Dragon Sword into his back.

Yamcha saw blood and expected the Saiyan to drop, but Raditz surprised him with a elbow to his face. Yamcha dropped the sword and staggered back, clutching his nose. It was surely broken.

Raditz staggered forward, pulling the sword from his back with a grunt of pain, blood dripping onto the floor. He threw it aside, glaring at Yamcha with fury. "You'll pay for that," he growled, his voice ragged with pain.

Yamcha wiped blood from his nose, his breathing labored. "Damn, I thought I had you done for," he said, struggling to keep his voice steady. He found his footing again, but thought about the bag of senzu beans at his waist. He if could manage to eat one, then he could finish Raditz for good.

But just then a light caught Yamcha's eye. In the palm of his hand, Raditz gathered ki. He chuckled darkly, "Who would have thought I'd have to resort to turning into a Great Ape to beat a useless Earthling."

As Raditz reared his arm back to throw, a scream echoed through the chamber. Both fighters turned to see Jennifer, her eyes wild and fangs sunk deep into Baba's neck. Baba's eyes were wide with shock then slowly rolled into the back of her head, the life fading from her body.  As Baba's life force ebbed, her control over the summoning spell that bound Raditz began to fade.

The effect was instantaneous. Raditz's body began to flicker, his form becoming unstable. "What... what is this sorcery?"

"What the—" Yamcha gasped, the scene unfolding in front of him surreal and horrifying. He was even more surprised than Raditz.

"NO!" Raditz quickly realized that without Baba, he could not remain in this world. He dashed for Jennifer, but before he could reach, he vanished completely, his final roar of rage echoing in the now silent room.

"Jennifer! What are you doing?!" Yamcha yelled.

Jennifer released Baba as her lifeless body crumbled to the floor. Jennifer wiped her mouth, her eyes, cold and devoid of any warmth, fixed on Yamcha. "I've been searching for a good meal, but she was a just an appetizer," Her voice was chilling, her stance predatory as she approached him.

Yamcha was frozen in shock. Jennifer was his girlfriend. She was so into him. She'd gone out with him after they met at the baseball field. This wasn't the same girl, was it? "What in the hell is going on!?"

She began to circle Yamcha slowly, her steps deliberate and menacing. "Oh, Yamcha," Jennifer taunted, her voice like that of a demon. "Did you really think I cared about your stupid noble quest? That I cared about your little friend who died?" She laughed, a sound that once charmed now chilled to the bone.

Yamcha kept his eyes fixed on her. He couldn't feel any ki from her, but she was definitely dangerous. He needed to grab a senzu bean and try to talk some sense into here. "Jennifer-"

"You were always the perfect prey, Yamcha," She interrupted. "So confident, yet so blindly trusting. Strong, but weak enough to eat once you let your guard down."

With a swift, fluid movement, she slapped the senzu bean bag out of Yamcha's hand, sending the bag across the floor. Yamcha flinched back, realizing for the first time that Jennifer might actually try and kill him.

As she advanced, Yamcha raised his fists in defense, not wanting to hurt her but ready to defend himself. "Jennifer, don't do this," he pleaded, his heart breaking.

But Jennifer laughed, a sound that chilled his blood. "Oh, Yamcha, always playing the hero. It's too late for that." She lunged at him, her nails extended like claws, aiming to strike.

"I don't want to hurt you, Jennifer, but I will," Yamcha warned, his voice hoarse with pain and emotion.

"You can't hurt me. Not now. Besides, would you really hurt a girl?" she danced her clawed fingers around her loose clothing, teasing Yamcha and making the reality all that much worse.

Yamcha faced Jennifer, his side flaring in pain as he readied himself for the inevitable. "Jennifer, why? I loved you!"

Jennifer laughed, a sound that twisted the knife deeper into Yamcha's heart. "Love? Please. You wouldn't know love if it killed you."

She brandished a bloody claw, "Oh, I guess it will."

Jennifer lunged for Yamcha, who had no other choice but to defend himself. He may not understand, but he had come here with a purpose, get the dragon balls and revive Puar. He wasn't about to give up now.

Oh Yamcha! Makes sense Jennifer would make her move in his weakened state. Great job!

Hate to do it to him, but it makes the most sense narratively. And I feel being in his state now, the fight is pretty even.

So, I never watch Jennifer's Body. To me, Jennifer looks like someone who can't beat a Dragon Ball character. Even with Yamcha weaken from his fight with Raditz, I think he could beat Jennifer. Another good job on your Yamcha arc.

Nice one, Russ. :) Yeah, Check was about due to make her move after this fight.

As for the match, while I haven't watched Jennifer's Body through, either, I have seen parts of it in the past and looked Jennifer up. Yamcha's going to have to kill her and not mess around doing it, but even at 25%, he should have more than enough power to get the job done.

Heh, now that I'm thinking about it, that sounds about right. Even at 25%, Yamcha would still likely be quick enough go after his discarded senzu beans and eat one before Jennifer could do much damage to him.
