The orca from the movie was rather crafty with its attacks. Almost supernatural ability. Even in a real world scenario, killer whales are highly intelligent.

True, no way a great white could do that to a smarter more agile Killer Whale. For the movies sake it fit well but still 100% unlikely. Watched a video one time of a Grandmother Orca ramming into a great white at incredible speed and with one blow paralyzed the shark in an instant. Orca are top predator in the oceans. No doubt
