Tournament hosts, Elvira and Randy Meeks, appeared in a dark room with a single spotlight shining down on them. Elvira lounged on a red couch near Randy. She looked over her black-painted nails.

ELVIRA: Well, Randy, I’ve got some bone-chilling news for our audience. We’re officially halfway through the first round of the Final Girl Faceoff! And you know what that means.

RANDY: A commercial break?

Randy’s attempt at a joke fell flat, but Elvira smiled.

ELVIRA: Not quite. Although, we do have to give a shoutout to our sponsors: evil, darkness, brutality, and destruction. But also, determination, grit, spirit, and the will to survive. A little something for everyone, wouldn’t you say?

RANDY: You’re not wrong. What it actually means is we have a special gift in store for our fans. You see, folks, this tournament and horror itself has so many amazing Final Girls that, sadly, not all of them could make it into the official bracket. And this is for a variety of reasons as you will soon discover.

Elvira gasped in mocking fashion.

ELVIRA: A tragedy of Shakespearean proportions! How ever will we sleep at night?

RANDY: Well, lucky for us, the Powers That Be and the selection committee cooked up a solution. And that brings us to today’s special bonus match. But before we get to the details, let’s talk about one of our competitors…Tina Shepard.

Elvira leaned back with a wicked grin.

ELVIRA: Ah, Tina. Sweet, psychic, telekinetic Tina. A Final Girl so powerful she gave Jason Voorhees a run for his machete.

RANDY: Exactly. She’s got a tragic backstory. A childhood trauma involving killing her father, which awakened her telekinetic powers. Fast forward a few years, and she ends up at Crystal Lake, where her abilities go toe-to-toe with Jason. She literally tried to hit him with every appliance and tool in sight!

ELVIRA: But let’s be honest, Randy, the committee was worried about including her. Tina’s powers might’ve given her an unfair advantage in the bracket. So, what did they do? Geniuses that they are, they gave her a special match instead so that she can still participate!

RANDY: Her opponent? None other than the seductive and sociopathic Dr. Zoe McConnell.

ELVIRA: Zoe’s got her own bag of tricks. She died, went to hell, and came back with some... shall we say, upgrades? But those upgrades came at a cost. The Lazarus serum used to bring her back to life gave her enhanced strength, telekinesis, and even some illusion casting, but it also fractured her psyche.

RANDY: To put it lightly. But this makes her the perfect match for Tina. Both women have extraordinary abilities, while Tina uses hers to protect and survive, Zoe’s powers come with a dark, almost predatory edge. She’s been to hell and doesn’t plan on going back.

Elvira clapped her hands enthusiastically.

ELVIRA: Bravo to the selection committee for this wicked symmetry. A Final Girl with psychic and telekinetic powers versus an inverse Final Girl villain with similar abilities. And now the cherry on top...

RANDY: The battlefield for this match should be familiar to our audience as it has ties to a first-round challenge already presented as well as another female who can fling things with her mind. It’s the Hawkins National Laboratory. The same lab where Eleven honed her own telekinetic powers. It’s an empty facility now, but the equipment left behind should be more than enough to make this match an explosive one.

ELVIRA: Two deadly women in a large lab filled with deadly toys. Oh my. Buckle up, boils and ghouls, grab your popcorn, place your bets, and enjoy the carnage of this special bonus match. Let’s set the stage.

 

TINA'S PERSPECTIVE

 

Tina Shepard found herself in a sterile, white-walled laboratory room. Fluorescent lights buzzed overhead. Along the walls are metal shelves filled with a variety of half filled beakers. A surgical table sat in the center, flanked by an assortment of sharp instruments. Tina took a deep breath and her hands trembled slightly.

TINA: Stay calm, Tina. You’ve faced worse than this. Jason was unstoppable, but this... this is just another fight against some crazy killer. You can do this.

Tina looked over medical tools and chemical compounds. 

TINA: Think. What can I use to keep her at a distance?

 

ZOE'S PERSPECTIVE

 

Dr. Zoe McConnell arrived in a dimly lit laboratory with an eerie red glow emanating from emergency lights along the floor. The room was cluttered with overturned desks, shattered monitors, and broken lab equipment. The room had remained unchanged since demodogs devoured all those that had once worked in it. Zoe smirked as she stretched out her hands. Tiny sparks danced between her fingers.

ZOE: So this will be my playground, huh? Let’s see how long Little Miss Psychic lasts.

Her gaze landed on a cart filled with syringes and shock collars. She picked up a syringe.

ZOE: This is going to be fun.
