Chapter 52: Hunter Ground Phase Two Prt. 3

Sitting on the T-Ship, the Titan's leader glared at the countless news reports regarding the recent tragedy in London. Knowing that his former mentor along with other world's heroes were dispatched across the universe, Robin knew deep down that he and his team would have to help in any way that they could. From schematics displayed from a Wayne Enterprises satellite, Robin turned his attention to a map of London. This was going to be a tough mission. Search and rescue always seemed harder than facing off against a power-hungry criminal. It was not about being tougher or smarter than an opponent, it was about helping as many people as possible. After the kaiju attacks, there would be many in need of help and many that would have already perished in the devastation. As much training as he received from Batman himself, it was always hard to see the lives lost. It was always hard not to be able to save everyone.

Beast Boy tried to lighten the mood amongst his fellow teammates, but it was to no avail. Each one of them knew what they would be walking into once the T-Ship landed. Countless lives lost and even more wounded. The green-skinned shapeshifting hero finally went silent while leaning back in his seat. Joining in on the somber tone that had taken over the others, Beast Boy turned his gaze toward the window. He looked outside at the passing world and reflected on all their previous missions. Even though he tried to be optimistic, the weight of this mission started to press down on him. No matter what animal he could transform into, he knew that it was not about being strong enough to carry this weight. The hurt and the lost would need them as a team. They needed to be rescued. They needed heroes. Beast Boy nodded his head as he saw his reflection in the window. He and his team were going to be whatever they would be called to be to help the people in need.

As for Raven, she kept her eyes closed in meditation. From her upbringing to all the missions that she served alongside her friends; she knew how to face enemies. She seen evil from the moment she was conceived, but the struggle of this mission was something else entirely. Inside of her heart, she felt a strong anxiety eating away at her soul. Despite knowing that her father was not involved in these horrific events, she sensed another dark presence that was lingering. The daughter of Triton could overhear the news reports that Robin was listening to and realized that the threat of the kaiju had passed, but that did not stop the anxiety that was within her. While she and her friends were more than eager to help those in need, she was afraid that this was only the beginning. Raven continued to sit in meditation as the T-Ship made its way toward the city of London.

Staring outside the ship, Starfire was more than happy to help those in need. While she was devastated to hear about the attacks, she almost jumped at the chance to be able to participate in the search and rescue operations. Ever since arriving on this planet, Starfire found herself at peace working alongside her friends. She loved being able to help people no matter the situation. The Tamaranean princess knew that the people of London needed help more than ever right now after these attacks. She hoped that her and her friends would be able to show others around the world that helping no matter how big or how small could change the world. While there was much anxiety to be had, the Tamaranean prince gave off an optimistic smile as she continued to gaze out of the T-Ship.

There was a multitude of emotions stirring within Cyborg. The memories of his past and the incident that he went through that turned him into what he was now started to come back to him. He could not help but think about all the victims and the injuries that they would see while trying to aid. With his own past injuries and the struggle of having to adjust to this new life, he grew scared for those that may face similar challenges. At the same time, he also had that desire within him to try and help in any way that he could. He glanced around at his friends and sighed. He and his team had been through a lot together. They had faced challenges and struggles of many kinds. Despite all the hardships that they had faced, Cyborg felt proud to be able to be a part of this family. He leaned back as they started to approach the devastation below.

"Team, I received word on the scanner that the President's is still missing and unaccounted for!" Robin exclaimed before getting the T-Ship ready to descend. "Our priority will be to search for and rescue the President!"

"And maybe get a little screen time in the press!" Beast Boy joked with a childish smirk.

"No time for jokes, Beast Boy." Robin replied. The Titan leader sighed before shaking his head. "We have to be prepared for anything."
Once the T-Ship landed, the Titans emerged from their aircraft. Starfire immediately ascended into the sky as her eyes gazed upon the landscape. Her heart sank once she saw the destruction for herself. The green-skinned shapeshifter heard a series of moans come from underneath a pile of rubble. He transformed into a cheetah and charged towards the moaning cries. After transforming into a gorilla, the Titan tried to lift the rubble up and away from those that were trapped underneath. Cyborg eventually went to join his friend, but they heard a familiar incantation coming from behind them.

"Azarath Metrion Zinthos!"

The rubble started to glow from all around. Beast Boy transformed back into his base form and staggered back along with his best friend, Cyborg. They watched as the rubble and debris were lifted into the sky and thrown into an empty clearing. Beast Boy's eyes soon shifted toward a group of children that were trapped underneath. They were all covered in dust and grime. Tears were dripping down their faces. Some had lacerations while others were bruised and swollen. Robin stumbled up to the group of children and pointed toward a direction for them to head. As they were making their way across the desolate streets, Beast Boy turned his attention back to the Titan leader.

"We should be going with them."

"We have no time for that, Beast Boy." Robin replied.

"What do you mean? They are just kids!" Beast Boy argued.

"And there are a lot more out there." Robin replied with a cold stare. "They are safe now and are heading to a clearing. There are several others that are still in danger. We must rescue as many as we can. We have to find the President."

"He's right." Cyborg sighed. "I don't like it much but look out, man. This whole city...." Cyborg said while gesturing out at the destruction. "... We have to help as many as we can."
The Teen Titans started searching for the President of the United States. Stumbling through the wreckage, they felt as if they had walked into a horror movie. From the bodies that were found to the severely injured, it was almost too much for anyone to see. The daughter of Triton snuck off into an isolated alleyway to catch her breath. Her eyes closed tight as she thought about the world that could have been if her father was unleashed into this world. She felt a warm hand gently grab onto the back of her should. Raven’s eyes slowly opened, and she turned to see the optimistic smile of Starfire. While Raven could see the hurt in her friend’s eyes, she realized that Starfire was there for her. Without breaking a smile, Raven nodded as she followed the Tamaranean Princess back to join the rest of the team.

Following a tracking device that was developed by Wayne Enterprises and perfected by Cyborg himself, Robin used it to track the location of the President. For the Titan leader, he struggled with the internal dilemma of providing comfort and solace for all those that they found. He wanted nothing more than to provide a warm and safe place for the kids that they had found earlier. Despite this internal struggle, he knew that the mission came first. He could not allow himself or his team to stray away from the overall mission. After watching his family die and those nights of fighting alongside Bruce, he knew that he had to see this through. He had to be strong, not only for himself but for his team.

“I got something!” Cyborg shouted while looking at his scanner.

“What is it, Cyborg?” Robin asked.

“I’m not sure yet, but I think it might be…”

The part man, part machine busted through a piece of a fallen structure. “Booyah.” He muttered while a smile formed across his cheeks.

“What is it?’ Starfire asked as she and Raven were approaching.

Cyborg took a step back while a man in a battered suit and tie emerged from the structure. From behind, a small group of survivors came out with weapons drawn.

“Mr. President?” Robin muttered as he stepped closer to the man in the suit and tie.

“Yes?” The President responded while wiping around some dust and grime from his face.

“I am Robin, and this is my team. We are here to help you.”

“Thank goodness… How many? How many lives were lost?” The President asked.

“We cannot think about that now Mr. President. We must get you and the other leaders out of here!” Robin responded.

“Please, son, how many?” The President pleaded.

“He’s right, Mr. President, we have to get you out of here.” A secret service agent responded. The secret service agent soon turned his attention to the Titan leader. “My name is Mike Banning. I am head of the President’s security detail. What information do you have on getting us the hell out of here?”

“We will go back the way we came. We did not see much in the….” Robin responded before going silent.

A loud crashed busted through a section of a fallen building. The other surviving members of the security detail drew their weapons and started to open fire upon what appeared to be a massive figure.
“Agent Banning, get the President out of here!” Robin ordered as he took out his staff.
Mike nodded while grabbing the President by the shoulder. He yelled for his men and the other leaders that were with him to follow him.

The Teen Titans gathered to stand between the President and this massive being.

“I will only give you one warnin’, get out of my way!” Juggernaut growled as he glared at the Teen Titans.

“Not a chance!” Robin hissed while reached for a batarang. “TITANS, GO!”

********

This battle takes place around the same time as Nick Fury’s battle with Boris the Animal. The Titans have come into what is left of London to search for survivors. Robin received orders to find and rescue the President. Shortly after finding the President, Juggernaut comes in to assassinate the President. Can the Titans stop the Juggernaut and hold him off, or will unstoppable force prove to be too much?

Teen Titans consists of Robin, Starfire, Raven, Cyborg, and Beast Boy

Hope you all enjoy this continuation of my major arc

Great continuation of your story. Good go either way.  I'm picking Juggernaut. I don't think this version of the Titans can't beat him on first try.

While the Titans are heroes with powerful abilities, Juggernaut’s sheer durability, unstoppable momentum, and mystical resistance make him a nightmare opponent for them. The best they can hope for is slowing him down enough to escape with their mission intact. But if they go head-to-head, they won’t survive the Juggernaut’s wrath. Raven is the best hope—if she can use powerful magic to restrain or teleport him away, they might survive, but it would take everything she has.

I think they win cause I think they can hold him long enough for the president to escape, but he probably steamrolls them beyond that.

Sorry I missed out on this one, Boratz. Very good story in keeping the overall bleak theme of your arc. I actually came up with a very similar matchup around 2005 (way before I discovered this site, lol), with the '03 Titans facing off against Juggernaut from X-Men: Evolution. Minus the dystopian atmosphere, though.

I actually think that the Titans could've won this. The '03 versions of Starfire and Cyborg could've held Juggernaut at bay, and the team could've pried off his helmet and let Raven either use her soul self or do whatever she did to Dr. Light to get into Cain's head and possibly incapacitate him.

Admittedly, I kind of had the same thought regarding Teen Titans and the X-Men Evolution Juggernaut. I felt like both shows had that same kind of feel to them.
