THE CULT OF GHOSTFACE originated in 1996 with a series of grisly murders carried out by two high school teenagers in Woodsboro, California. The assailants behind the gruesome rampage targeted high school student, Sydney Prescott. Following the horrific events that transpired in Woodsboro, a film was released that detailed the events. The survivors of the rampage included Sydney Prescott, Gale Weathers, Randy Meeks, and Dewey Riley. Many of the survivors did not wish to comment on the events that had taken place.

Nearly a year after the Woodsboro Massacre, another slew of murders followed some of the survivors to Windsor College. Once again, the attacks centered around Sydney Prescott. These murders ended up claiming the life of Randy Meeks. Additional films and documentaries were created in response to these murders as well. The survivors of this encounter with the Cult of Ghostbuster once again included Sydney Prescott, Gale Weathers, Dewey Riley, and Cotton Weary.

Three years later, the Cult of Ghostface struck again during the production of one of the films that centered around the heinous murders. The events claimed the lives of many individuals which included Cotton Weary. Once again, the goal behind the rampage was centered around Sydney Prescott. After a long ordeal, she along with Gale Weathers and Dewey Riley managed to put an end to the murderous Ghostface.

For over a decade, the world thought that they had seen the last of this despicable cult. It was not until the 15th anniversary of the tragedy in Woodsboro that the Cult struck once again. This time, the alleged target was the cousin of Sydney herself. It was later learned that this was all a ploy in an attempt for fame. The survivors of this incident once again included Sydney Prescott, Gale Weathers, and Dewey Riley. Other survivors included high school student Kirby Reed and Sheriff's deputy Judy Hicks.

After these horrific events, additional reports of similar murders started to surface across the country. With the rise of social media, the threat of copycat killers became more prevalent. Films that highlighted and detailed the Cult's methods of these gruesome murders were spread across the internet. Discussion boards and chat rooms were created that glorified the murderers responsible in each of these events.

In 2022; over a decade after the events that previously occurred in Woodsboro, another series of murders carried out by members of the Cult were committed. Unfortunately, these tragic murders claimed the lives of previous survivor Judy Hicks and Dewey Riley. The survivors of this ordeal included Sydney Prescott, Gale Weathers, Sam Carpenter, and Tara Carpenter.

The Ghostface Cult struck once again nearly a year after the events in Woodsboro. This time the murderous rampage took place in New York City and centered around the survivors Sam and Tara Carpenter. Sam and Tara once again survived the brutal attacks as well as previous survivor Gale Weathers and Kirby Reed. Unfortunately, both Ms. Weathers and Ms. Reed was seriously injured because of the Cult's rampage.

With the continued rise of social media and the effects that the entertainment industry has on society, the impact of this sickening Cult will only continue to thrive. Many have lost their lives to this Cult or dangerous individuals and many more have been hurt. We are urging you to make a difference today so that the influence of this group may finally come to an end.

If you have any information regarding the Cult of Ghostface or know of anyone involved in this group, please do not engage. They are to be considered armed and extremely dangerous. Contact your local authorities immediately

Chicago, IL

Ruzek could not help but crack a smile across his bearded face. As he was driving the usual route to the school, Makayla was asking him a series of questions. Half of them were childish and the other half were about subjects that she was going over in school. Ruzek chuckled as most of the questions were on subjects that he did not know the answers to. It was not long until he saw those familiar flashing lights for the school zone. He nodded at the crossing guard while approaching the drop off area. The young girl soon started listing off a list of items that she wanted for her birthday. Ruzek started to shake his head once he realized some of these items were way out of their price range. He finally felt a bit of relief once the car in front of him dropped off their children. The Intelligence officer felt a bit of relief once he pulled up to the drop off zone. He glanced back at Makayla and grinned as he made it to the finish line without giving her a straight answer.

"It looks like we're here kiddo. Your mom might be picking you up today. We'll let you know."

"You know I will only ask about it later." Makayla said before opening the door.

"Yeah, I know, kid." Adam laughed before slowly shaking his head. "Hey, have a good day at school. Learn a lot!"

"I'll learn a lot more than you!" Makayla joked.

"Yeah, ain't that the truth." Adam replied before Makayla shut the door and headed towards the school. "Love you, kid." He said under his breath before putting his car into drive.

Looking back in his rear-view mirror, Adam gave one last glance at the school zone before driving on his way to work. While passing the all too familiar routes on his way to work, he heard his phone going off. He glanced down at the screen on his vehicle's dash and saw Kim's name appear as the oncoming call. Without a second thought, he answered the phone.

"Hey, babe, I just dropped of Mak. On my way to the station."

"How was she?" Kim asked on the other line while she was shuffling through some papers on her desk.

"Ah ya know, she just asked a million questions." Adam replied with a grin. "Asked the usual questions about when we're getting married and if we can have pizza for dinner tonight."

"Huh, yeah she was asking about the same things last night before bed." Kim replied while shuffling through a stack of case files.

"She also started asking about her math homework. I didn't know they started putting letters in those problems that early on."

"Haha." Kim chuckled before leaning back in her chair. "Did you help her with her home?"

"I told her to ask you."

"Of course you did...." Kok replied.

Adam's phone started to buzz on the console and he glanced down to see the number to one of his criminal informants. The Intelligence officer pressed ignore while continuing his conversation with Kim. A couple seconds later he heard the buzzing again and saw his informant calling once again.

"Hey babe, I got a call from one of my C.I.s comin' through." Adam said while pulling over to the side of the street.

"Alright, I'll see you when you get here."

"See you in a bit." Adam replied before answering the call from his informant. "Hey Don, what do you have for me?"

"Hey Ruze, man, I uh... I need your help!" The informant said in a panic.

"Don, calm down. What is going on?"

"I need your help, man! Ruze I need your help!"

"Don... Don... I can't help you unless you fill me in on what's goin' on. Can you do that?"

"I was talkin' to this girl... Ya know... Nothin' bad or anythin'. I followed her to her place outside of town..."

"Were you stalking her, Donny?"

"Nah man, nothin' like that. I followed her to her apartment. She got a call from some weird guy. He's here, Ruze. He's got a knife!"

"Where are you now, Donny?" Adam asked.

"The Loomis Apartment complex."

"Alright, Donny... I'm not too far from there. I'll be there in 5. I need you to get somewhere safe. You got that?"

"Ruze, please! I need you, man!"

"I'm coming, Don!" Ruzek hung up the phone and reached for his radio. Pressing down on the radio, intelligence officer said, "This is 5021 Ida, I got a possible 0520 at the Loomis Apartment complex. I am a couple minutes out."

Once he pulled up to the apartment complex, Adam quickly got out of the car. He heard that other patrol officers that were close to the area were more than 10 minutes out. Knowing that time was of the essence, Adam ran to the back of his car. After opening the trunk, he went ahead and slipped on his bulletproof vest and made his way toward the entrance of the complex. The intelligence officer reached for his holster and steadily pulled out his side arm. He reached up and slowly pushed the door open to the apartment complex.

Ruzek started walking through the hallways of the complex with his pistol pointing forward. He tried calling his criminal informant multiple times, but each time went to voice-mail. He called out Don's name a couple times before approaching a corner. As Ruzek slowly stepped closer toward the corner of the hallway, he spun around the corner with his pistol ready. To his relief, the corner was clear. He soon heard what appeared to be someone crying from inside a supply closet. Adam slowly approached the door and called out to the person that was crying.

"Chicago PD, I'm opening the door."

Ruzek opened the door to the supply closet and found a young woman covered in blood. This young woman was hunched down in the corner and her eyes were swollen from crying.

"Are.... Are you Officer Ruzek?" The young woman asked with tears running down her cheeks.

"Yes. Who are you?" Adam asked while reaching down to help the woman to her feet.

"I'm... I'm Trish... Donny said that you were coming!" She cried.

"Where is Donny now?" Ruzek asked while putting his arm around her.

"He.... He was in my apartment... I think.... I think he's dead."

"Why do you think he is dead?"

"Some guy in black with some kind of ghost mask.... He called me... He followed me... He, he broke into my apartment. Donny tried to help. He stabbed Donny several times. I got away while... He kept cutting into Donny. I hid in here! I could not move!"

Alright, Trish, I am going to take you outside. What is your apartment number so that I can go check on Donny?"

"96W on the 6th floor." Trish replied.

Adam walking alongside Trish as they headed toward the exit. He heard a call coming on his radio and tilted his ear closer to hear the voice on the other end.

"Adam, what do you got?" The raspy voice of Voight asked over the radio.

"I'm not sure yet, Sarge. I found a female in her early to mid-twenties. Her name is Trish. She said that some guy in black called her and started threatening her. Apparently, perp was wearing some kind of white-ghost mask or something."

"What about your C.I.?" Voight asked.

"Not sure yet. I'm getting Trish out of the building and I will head back inside to search for him. Trish said that he was attacked and stabbed several times. She was covered in blood, but none of it appears to be her own."

"Patrol is still about 10 minutes out. I will get ambulance on the scene...."

"Hey, I got something..." Officer Atwater said over the radio while looking down over the radio. "Apparently, this M.O. matches several members of some Cult that started back in Woodsboro, California. A group of serial killers that go by the name Ghostface."

"Adam, you got! I need you to stay outside and wait for backup!" Voight ordered over the radio.

"I can't do that, Sarge. I got to check on Dom."

"Adam, this perp is armed and extremely dangerous! You need to wait for backup!" Voight pleaded.

Adam turned off his radio and helped Trish to his car. He opened the door and gently led her inside his vehicle.

"I need you to lock the doors. Do not open them until backup arrives. You understand?"

"Where.... Where are you going?" Trish cried out.

"I have to go check on Donny."

"Ple.... Please don't leave me!"

"I will he back, I just need to check on Donny."

Ruzek made his way back into the apartment complex. As he went to the stairway, he made his way to the 6th floor. He opened the door to the stairwell and sauntered into the hallway. After walking toward Trish's room, Ruzek walked into the room and saw the grizzly scene that laid before him. Lying in a pool of blood was his criminal information. The Intelligence officer leaned down and place his fingers against his neck. He closed his eyes and shook his head once he realized that there was no pulse.

Before he could call it in over the radio, Ruzek heard a sound from the corner of the room. The Intelligence officer rose to his feet, and peered in the direction of the sound. He raised his pistol once again and started moving his eyes around the room.

"You must be Officer Adam Ruzek. Oh, Donny boy told me all about you before... Hmmm. Well before, I turned him into a Jackson Pollock painting." A sinister voice said from what appeared to be a radio lying on top of a television stand.

"Why did you kill, Donny?" Ruzek asked as he looked down at the radio and then turned his eyes toward the other side of the room.

"Wrong place, wrong time... He got in my way of that bitch." The sinister voice replied.

"How about you stop playin' games and come out with your hands up?" Ruzek replied while making his way through the apartment.

"I'd rather play a game, Officer Ruzek. Tell me, do you like scary movies?"

"I'm more of a fan of crime drama. Especially those ones that have the perp gets arrested at the end."

"I hate to break it to you, Officer. This ain't that kind of movie!"

Hard to judge since we don’t know much about this Ghostface, but if he/she/they is at least middle of the pack to the other GF’s then Adam should win this. GF’s are pretty universally clumsy and frail when their victim’s fight back, and Adam is comparably much stronger and cooler under pressure then teenage Sidney or Sam. Plus gun>knife.

Sorry Ghostface but you’re the one in the wrong movie.
