Hello everyone, I want to start by saying before anyone gets there hopes up, no work has been done to restore functionality of FPL. 

However as I work to update and fix parts of the website, I have noticed a that it's not unrecoverable. Through a great amount of effort it is, however unlikley, possible to bring it back online.

 

As of now I am gauging interest, but again lets be clear, as of right this moment that is all I am doing.

I have never had a chance to do FPL because I didn't make time for it back then, so I am a yes, but I am not a returner.

I'm working on it very slowly. I think it will return, but it'll be a while.

I'll just say there is a chance, and after working on this for a while. I'd say a higher chance than last year.

 

Can't give exact hope percentage yet though as it will still take a lot of work.

Current look into what is and is not working in FPL.

FPL -> Online(ish), several steps have to be done to even have some access. 
Character Builder -> Working
Match Creator -> Working -> No script to end the fight, so the will rage on forever, characters will become permanently unavailable until fixed.
Match Index - > Offline -> does not post anywhere, does not have a working link. 
Match Votes - > Working, though without the prior two parts working this means nothing. 

All characters that were there, are sill there, however due to the profile shift, many will have lost access to said characters. Even if you have the same name, your current characters will probably be lost to database filler. 

That portion of the website is in very rough condition and would take a considerable amount of time and effort to rework. However, more is still working than previously thought.

If you ever bring it back I'll do some; I always liked the character sheet as a storytelling medium in line with Stan and Jack philosophy of "show them using their powers by page 3"

Only way anything can help without the needed skill set is to Donate to the patreon, and keep the site active.

I suppose that makes me have to work on it heh.

 

Though.I can't promise anything at the moment as a lot of it will have to be almost completely rewritten. It will take some time.

 

That said I was able to get a match going, I used one of your old characters, but the match will go one forever until I figure out how to end it heh.

OK, I think I'm gonna sound stupid for asking this... but where is the FPL control panel? I can't seem to find the chargen and other FPL-related functions on my account controls, only CBUB-related stuff. Is it one of those deals that due to its (from what I can tell) trial/beta-testing nature, is only open to accounts who volunteered or something?

It's only open to me at the moment. I restored the links and the ability to navigate throughout, but the creation capabilities are still pretty broken. 

Ill be testing on some stuff over the next couple of weeks to see if I cant get it to a beta phase. 

 

FPL and CBUB will likely share a control panel going forward.
