Match 21313 Kuma vs. Ursa Major

In a secret Russian facility, Red Guardian, Darkstar, Crimson Dynamo, and Ursa Major sat around a table in the Winter Guard briefing room.

Darkstar: We have received intel that The Mishima Zaibatsu has stolen classified Russian state secrets. The Kremlin wants them retrieved immediately. We also need to determine what Heihachi Mishima is planning. As you all know, his organization has a history of questionable dealings, and this latest move suggests something larger is at play.

Crimson Dynamo: If Heihachi is involved, it means trouble. But breaking into his headquarters will not be easy. The Zaibatsu’s security is top-tier.

Ursa Major: Bah! This is no different than wrestling a pack of Siberian wolves. I say we barge in and show them why no one steals from Mother Russia!

Darkstar: We will be tactical about this, Mikhail. We infiltrate, locate the stolen data, and extract it. No unnecessary destruction. Just enough of a ruckus to show them to stay away from our homeland.

Ursa Major: Da, da. No unnecessary destruction... unless necessary.

Red Guardian: We should look around while we are there. See if we can sniff out what Heihachi’s plans are.

The Winter Guard departed for Japan. They arrived under the cover of night. They traveled to the Mishima Zaibatsu headquarters and breached the perimeter. Before they could get very far, alarms blared throughout the building. Dozens of of Tekken Force soldiers, clad in black armor, poured into the main hall.

Tekken Force Commander: You are trespassing on Mishima Zaibatsu property. Surrender or be eliminated.

Crimson Dynamo: Elimination? Ha! Let’s see you try.

An intense battle erupted. Crimson Dynamo fired off repulsor blasts and took out multiple soldiers. Darkstar encased Tekken Force grunts in shimmering constructs of dark energy then tossed them aside like rag dolls. Red Guardian used his shield to knock away weapons from the hands of soldiers and sent them flying. Ursa Major transformed into his massive bear form and barrelled through the remaining soldiers, swiping them aside like they weighed nothing. He roared as he punched through a door.

Ursa Major: Hah! Too easy! What’s next?

Before the rest of his team could join him, a trapdoor beneath him opened and sent him tumbling down into a sealed, walled-off chamber.

Ursa Major landed on all fours. He stood up and shook off the effects of the fall. A deep, menacing growl echoed through the chamber.  A massive, muscular bear stepped forward into the light.

Kuma: I am Kuma, Heihachi’s bodyguard. And you… are my enemy!

Ursa Major: Don’t you mean Heihachi’s pet.

Kuma: I am not a pet. In fact, it was I who gave the orders to steal Russian secrets to lure you here.

Ursa Major: Wait… you are the reason the Mishima Zaibatsu stole state secrets? How? You are a bear.

Kuma: I have my ways.

Ursa Major: Does Heihachi even know about this?

Kuma: This is bigger than Heihachi. This is personal.

Ursa Major cocked his head in confusion. Kuma’s eyes darkened as he recalled a heartbreaking memory…

 

 

*FLASHBACK*

Kuma, nervous but determined, approached his unrequited crush, Panda, with a bouquet of flowers outside the residence of Ling Xiaoyu. Nearby, Panda sat down looking at a picture of the Russian Winter Guard. Xiaoyu giggled as she fastened a pink bow onto Panda’s fur.

Ling Xiaoyu: Panda, I never thought I’d see the day! You have a crush! And he’s so… rugged! That Ursa Major is quite the handsome bear!

Panda blushed and clutched the picture. Kuma’s heart shattered.

Kuma: How… could she betray me like this? I thought we were meant to be…

*END FLASHBACK*

Kuma: You stole my love, Ursa Major! Now, you will pay!

Ursa Major: What?! I do not know a Panda. And even if I did, I am not attracted to  pandas. I am not an actual bear, I’m a mutant.

Kuma: What?!? So you think you’re too good for Panda?! You insult her with your arrogance! You will suffer for this!

Furious, Kuma lunged at Ursa Major. The battle of bears had begun.
